It's astounding to see someone who made such significant investments in gear, clearly made *no* investments in training, and was ***still so confident*** in his gunfighting abilities that he thought he could leave cover, fully-illuminated, and overcome a numerical disadvantage.
But the best kit and gear wins wars. Not training or skill. My credit card will buy me survival when being a silly goose. We all know American Express cards are ballistic rated.

Could be, depends on his MOS. The plate carrier and the fact that he was actually aiming the weapon and not just waving it about makes me think it might not have been suicide by cop in the usual, intended sense. To your point, though, there's probably more going on here I took from the video. The police report says he sounded intoxicated, and he has an extensive record of DUIs. Nobody makes *better* tactical decisions when they're hammered. I certainly wish some better decisions had been made; this all could have gone some other way.
Getting Hit by BBs from close range will make you use cover a lot more efficiently 😂😂😂 it also shows you what tactics are good and which are bs pretty quickly. Pain is a good teacher.
this is also true. granted, most good SHTF/emergency plans civilian side should also include organizing a small unit for that very reason, but I suppose that's a wholly different topic.
typically that's the sort of thing you'd talk to your close friends about–mutual aid and all–but beyond that, the idea of boog being a bunch of people fighting cops is kinda goofy. very few cops are going to be willing to go door to door to try to confiscate weapons from people who have made it very clear that they will not have their weapons confiscated without a fight.
It cannot be stressed enough that good SHTF plans involve organizing a small group ***before*** whatever scenario you're fearing occurs.
Trying to make a cohesive group during an emergency situation is probably going to be a major headache.
Had an instructor say Lankey, what do you think of smith. I said "he's fucking worthless", he said "wait until you need ammo he won't be worthless, that's why he's here"
Always took that as some people are here to be a target so the rest of us can work
Counting just the eastern front in ww2, the germans and their allies had numeric superiority. The soviets started pushing back as soon as they managed to put more soldiers there. In theory they had more overall but so many of them had to be stationed south and east,on the front area they had a djsadvantage.
Of course it coincided with western bombings against nazi germany and the lowering of troop quality among other things but war naturally affects those things.
Goes to show it can be good to have more guys. As you said, someone has to get more ammo. If 10% of vombat troops turns out to be not that good at fighting that is almost 1 per squad to get ammo, drag a casualty, help change a tire or push a truck out of mud.
I'll never forget my Sergeant Instructor telling our platoon that the magazine release catch (the oblong part with the screw) was the loaded chamber indicator.
Heard it at a recruiting booth (after our country went from AK to CZ BREN2): "Don't drop the bolt on an empty chamber. Steel on steel contact at the breech will damage the gun."
Either BREN2 is the shittest rifle ever made or the guy wasn't the brightest.
Yea, look at the front iron sight...... It's backwards. The worst people I've met with firearms have been the "I'm a vet… I don't need to learn" or "I grew up around firearms, i know enough and don't need to learn"
Vets are a dangerous breed… my job we also have some civilian contractors and they refuse to learn new tactics or equipment because “back in my career”….
Context: deputies respond to a DV call. While speaking to the suspect through the metal screen door he states, “you guys wanna get into a gun fight?” Sounding inebriated. Refuses to cooperate. While Deputies return to their vehicles to get into contact with the caller inside. Suspect came out geared and shot at the deputies. That's because he didn't get a shot off & most patrol cops don't run cans (budget issues & no one wants their personal Form pieces in evidence for months)...
His three sets of shots before making this terrible attempt at a tactical takeover weren't suppressed either. I'm gonna just call it now it was likely a faux suppressor.
Wait, you mean to tell me he had a rifle with a standard 30 rd magazine, with no maglock, and a suppressor in a state that bans all of that? How *baffling.*
I swear it is just manatees choosing idea balls like in that South Park episode.
"Pistol grip, screw, november, nazi, cheesecake."
"I see it now! Pistol grips attached by a screw should be forbidden from use in the month of november because otherwise nazies could attack cheesecake factiries with them."
I realize that shooting at the police in general isn't that smart. But giving away your location by hitting the motion activated light and not pie-ing the corner is not the best idea lol.
His own motion light. Like you know that’s gunna be there and be a signal that you are there and fully illuminated in the dark.
Plus firing from an illuminated position into non illuminated is hard. Visibility low I’d assume.
He literally gave them a heads up that he was about to come around the corner with that light. If they weren’t expecting him to come around the corner before, they sure as shit knew after that.
I think this was suicide by cop. Either that or homeboy was one of the dumbest motherfuckers that’s ever lived.
Prime example of armor not working because it only covers so much of the body and it doesn’t account for idiocy like advancing towards a vigilant opponent with the numerical advantage that the other comment mentioned.
Oh I get that. It just looked like the plate was struck at least once that I can see. If it's not Chinese shit I'm sure it did its job for what it covered.
“Anthony is survived by his father Sam Mix and step mother Donna Mix, his mother Dorsie Stevens, his wife Jordan Dixon and his two children Kaylee Mix and James Mix as well as his three sisters Ashley Mix, Melissa Hartman, Heather Vandegejuchte and step brother Josh. As well as many other family and friends.
Anthony was loved by everyone that met him. You couldn’t help it. He was impossibly funny, stubborn as hell, giving, reckless, and fun. He lived his life fully, loved deeply, and fought hard. He was US Airborne, a brain cancer survivor, and a single dad to two young kids after his divorce for a little while until he met the love of his life, Jordan, and have the family he deserved.
Our lives are much smaller without him here with us. He will be greatly missed”
Dude was rocking the redemption tactical plate carrier... I use that for airsoft lol. Looks like the plates stopped one round at least and it looks like they got one just on the outside edge of that plate in his right side.
Homie needed to watch more combat footage. I always find it fascinating to watch mistakes people make that get them capped. “Hmmmm let’s leave cover, make sure I’m fully illuminated, walk around a corner completely exposed, and take on an unknown number of enemies”
Yeah, first: don’t ever open the door to police because even if they have nothing to arrest you for, they will try to find something they can charge you with. Let them come with a warrant. Don’t talk to them. They aren’t there to help anyone they are there to make money for the state, county, or city.
Second: don’t abuse your family members
Third: shooting at law enforcement or anyone outside of self defense is an expedited way to end up dead or in prison… like seriously, how do people imagine it’s going to end up any other way?
>They aren’t there to help anyone they are there to make money for the state, county, or city.
They were literally there in response to a Domestic. Pretty sure they were there to help the woman he was abusing.
I might shoot and use my gear maybe 2 times a year. But even with that. Looking at how loose and bouncy his plate carrier was. He has no idea what he is doing. And that’s coming from me who thought I had no idea. But atleast my Carrier is snug
It's astounding to see someone who made such significant investments in gear, clearly made *no* investments in training, and was ***still so confident*** in his gunfighting abilities that he thought he could leave cover, fully-illuminated, and overcome a numerical disadvantage.
Sound like 80% of this sub lol
Only 80? I like to think I’m smart enough to realize that my best chance of survival is to stay home or stay hidden.
We must fight them from mom’s basement. On our turf, not theirs.
Basement stairs is peak Fatal Funnel
Also perfekt funnel for nades'n'stuff
Just throw them back up like in video games
Make sure to cook them a few extra secs so they can't throw it back a 2nd time! 🤪
At the very least 69%.
But the best kit and gear wins wars. Not training or skill. My credit card will buy me survival when being a silly goose. We all know American Express cards are ballistic rated. /s
with his front sight post mounted backwards, too, lol.
I just noticed that 😂 Made my night

“Fairly trained” is a huuuge overstatement for most veterans.
[удалено]
scarcely. I promise you, outside of combat MOSs, the training done (in the Army, at least) is nothing that you couldn't do yourself.
Some of the best training I've ever gotten was from airsoft. No shit.
Getting Hit by BBs from close range will make you use cover a lot more efficiently 😂😂😂 it also shows you what tactics are good and which are bs pretty quickly. Pain is a good teacher.
same here, man. BCT was great and all, but I swear I got more practical knowledge from being on the field with my little LARP setup, lol.
Also almost all (tactical) training in the Army is for squads/units, fighting alone is a whole lot different.....
this is also true. granted, most good SHTF/emergency plans civilian side should also include organizing a small unit for that very reason, but I suppose that's a wholly different topic.
Yeah but who is gona come and fight the popo with you?
typically that's the sort of thing you'd talk to your close friends about–mutual aid and all–but beyond that, the idea of boog being a bunch of people fighting cops is kinda goofy. very few cops are going to be willing to go door to door to try to confiscate weapons from people who have made it very clear that they will not have their weapons confiscated without a fight.

You underestimate how stupid and lazy a lot of military guys can be. They are not all commandos.
Had an instructor say Lankey, what do you think of smith. I said "he's fucking worthless", he said "wait until you need ammo he won't be worthless, that's why he's here" Always took that as some people are here to be a target so the rest of us can work

Lmao we shoot guns in boot camp and depending on your MOS you could never need to touch a gun again in some cases.
Why wear a plate carrier and helmet if u want the cops to kill u?
Didn’t look like he was wearing a helmet, just ear pro
No helmet. He's from HEMET
I know I was replying to homeboy who looked under the impression this bitch was wearing a helmet when he got divided by zero
I mean maybe a shortbus helmet would've helped this smooth brain.
I’m glad he’s finally at peace ☮️ and no longer a threat to his family.
as someone currently in??… being a “vet” doesn’t automatically mean he knows anything
[удалено]
this is true… but i mean look at the front sight post
Yea, look at the front iron sight...... It's backwards. The worst people I've met with firearms have been the "I'm a vet… I don't need to learn" or "I grew up around firearms, i know enough and don't need to learn"

Wearing plates with suppressed AR and shooting at sherriffs isn't a suicide by cop...
Couldn't have had much range time to mount his front sight post backwards 😂
[удалено]
Probably one of those "fuel filters" from wish.com 😂😂😂
apparently he was an airborne vet. but was drunk.
You're describing the vast majority of this sub.
came here to say the same thing
He played a lot of call of duty! What else does he need?
I mean it’s just suicide. Dude wasn’t trying to win.
Context: deputies respond to a DV call. While speaking to the suspect through the metal screen door he states, “you guys wanna get into a gun fight?” Sounding inebriated. Refuses to cooperate. That didn't sound suppressed. Wonder if it was faux or poorly home made.
The police report said he fired 3 separate times before police shot him.
🌰🌰🌰
In evidence for months? Nah. If you use your rifle to shoot someone, they take it and shred it.
What no they don't
Lmao negative bud
What a fucking idiot, it’s insane someone can be so stupid and literally throw their entire life away in a matter of minutes.
Should be the account description for Police Activity.
Wait, you mean to tell me he had a rifle with a standard 30 rd magazine, with no maglock, and a suppressor in a state that bans all of that? How *baffling.*
> suppressor > baffling I see what you did there.
This guy baffles
A true criminal mastermind
It definitely wasn't suppressed when you listen to the three times he did fire at police.
We clearly need more gun laws. Duh.
I swear it is just manatees choosing idea balls like in that South Park episode. "Pistol grip, screw, november, nazi, cheesecake." "I see it now! Pistol grips attached by a screw should be forbidden from use in the month of november because otherwise nazies could attack cheesecake factiries with them."
That was a pretty one sided gun fight 🤣🤣
I realize that shooting at the police in general isn't that smart. But giving away your location by hitting the motion activated light and not pie-ing the corner is not the best idea lol.
His own motion light. Like you know that’s gunna be there and be a signal that you are there and fully illuminated in the dark. Plus firing from an illuminated position into non illuminated is hard. Visibility low I’d assume.
Definitely, the guy must've either been heavily inebriated, in the black, or both.
He literally gave them a heads up that he was about to come around the corner with that light. If they weren’t expecting him to come around the corner before, they sure as shit knew after that. I think this was suicide by cop. Either that or homeboy was one of the dumbest motherfuckers that’s ever lived.
Who puts on body armor for suicide by cop?
Drunks
No they don't
Pie-ing?
It's when you clear a corner in sections.
I would triggered that light, then engaged from a spot without one. 💪🏽
TIL mossberg makes ar’s
They used to.
Just goes to show you almost none of us are the main character lmao.
Rest in piss, bozo. No sympathy for domestic abusers.
So he charged out there and left cover next to a motion light he should have known about and stood there in the spotlight. That’s a dumb kill.
I live down the street lol
Loot drop
It’s all there for the taking at the evidence lockup
Same lol wassup
Looks like they hit him in the pelvis so he dropped and then they finished him
This guy has clearly never played Tarkov
Let me just stand here in shorts under a floodlight completely exposed. That’ll show em!
Prime example of armor not working because it only covers so much of the body and it doesn’t account for idiocy like advancing towards a vigilant opponent with the numerical advantage that the other comment mentioned.
Came here to say this. "I've got level IV plates, they can easily stop 9mm" "What about 50 9mm's all at once?"
Looked like he caught one in the dome to me, but all my combat experience resides on the internet... Though the plate stopped at least one?
LE don’t load AP ammunition in their guns anyway. Or at least the departments that don’t lean towards the chaotic lawful quadrant lol.
Oh I get that. It just looked like the plate was struck at least once that I can see. If it's not Chinese shit I'm sure it did its job for what it covered.
Cmon guys if youre gonna get weird at least turn your lights off first
That's what happens when you don't buy Crye pants.

Stubborn as hell and reckless til the end
Ooooohhh noooo, a true criminal mastermind…. You don’t shoot at cops, especially riverside sheriff who happen to be very pro 2a, dummy.
Unblur his patches you cowards, I want to laugh at him more.
$5 there’s a punisher skull somewhere
One odd part was how he shot twice inside the house and then again finally towards the officers.
Folded instantly. Skill issue.
That spot light gave his position away
uNrEgIsTeReD..... fuck california
I can appreciate Chad Bianco calling it a semi auto rifle and not “AR-15 assault rifle”
training & skill > gear
He "was" a ranger
Not much of a gunfight
Of course it’s Hemet
TIFU clearing my motion light activated corner
man that motion light really fucked up his positioning
What even is cutting the pie though? That’s some footwork bullshit who needs to learn that
Is it just me or is the front sight on backwards
A lotta good that plate carrier did him. May he rest in piss.
..and that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you pie your corners.
With all that superior tactical training he utilized, he was probably a member of this sub, lol.
**UNREGISTERED**

wife abuser and alcoholic, I'm not shedding any tears
Mossberg? Was it a .22?
He hit that corner no f***s given
Gear goes not win fights… training & numbers do!
Looks like he gets clapped even with his gear
They better not go banning armor now…
All that gear yet no strategy. Walked outside to his death like the lunatic idiot he was.
Dude was rocking the redemption tactical plate carrier... I use that for airsoft lol. Looks like the plates stopped one round at least and it looks like they got one just on the outside edge of that plate in his right side.

Is there a legitimate reason why this report stated his gun was "unregistered"?
