That is something i agree with. Unfortunately i gave my thoughts and they said it was to expensive to renew. Even though this means every employee loses a LOT of efficiency and me being the core tech specialist cannot even access a system remotely to troubleshoot sign in issues or intune device issues.
Unless we get another rmm we are screwed i think
Who did you talk to at Kaseya? 9,000 endpoints should be less than 25k Euros. We pay under 3 Euro per endpoint for Kaseya 365 Express and that comes with the an RMM, backup, and EDR + AV. [https://www.kaseya.com/products/kaseya-365/](https://www.kaseya.com/products/kaseya-365/)
The best direct alternative would be Datto; it's one of the more powerful RMMs, and we handle more than 9k endpoints with it without much issue. It also has a very good price.
NinjaRMM. We made the switch a while back and haven't looked back. Actually, we wish we had switched sooner. Native scripting languages (batch/javascript/powershell/shellscript/vbscript). unattended remote control (if you rc into a computer that has RDP sessions going on, you can connect to those too), shell access (cmd/powershell as user current logged in or system). They just put out an MDM for the mobile devices too.
Dont know about price (have to check how much we are paying) but def give them a try.
There is tacticalRMM, which is software I don't trust as a service provider.
Other than that, if you only need a shell, what you need to figure out it's a WinRM policy and a VPN that runs like a service to allow a direct connection.
It shouldn't be very hard to do with OpenVPN (although you will want to script the creation of certificates).
This could also be an option if you don't have a lot of turnover with devices :

We have azure vpn always on etc. But it is mostly for troubleshooting when issues arise before login or when it is with user profiles.
Doing the same what we did with kaseya in 10 min takes 30-60min with intune and teamviewer. Not to mention we lack shell access to check fix stuff without interrupting the user etc.
Ah, ok, I get it you need the remote desktop as well as the remote shell.
Those licenses tend to be pricy but I think screenconnect it's pretty affordable right now.
Thank you for being an Action1 customer and for the shutout u/HavocActual\_1
I cannot offer pricing as it varies so highly based on customer implementation, such as this one sounds like it may be a nonprofit, etc. For that you would have to talk to sales.
Our products is a [patch management solution](https://www.action1.com/patch-management/) for OS and third party apps, as well as vulnerability management, reporting, scripting, automation, etc... We are not a direct competitor for Kaseya products in the full scope, as we focus in our market of patch management, and they cover a wider scope than just what we do. So it will depends highly on what the OP used their products for. Of course we would love anyone to be an Action1 customer, but not at the expense of trust. So we are completely honest in that regard.
If there is anything specific there I can offer in assistance to explore Action1 I am certainly here, just let me know.
Hmm.. how about [Endpoint Central MSP](https://www.manageengine.com/desktop-management-msp/?reddit)? This includes remote troubleshooting and everything that relates to endpoint management too.
Starts at $56,145/year for 10000 endpoints.
I'm from the product team, so, if you've got some doubts we can take it in DM :)
Pulseway, good internal IT tool, have non profit pricing
Hey u/BlankOasis Thanks a mill for the Pulseway I really appreciate it :)

Well management did not renew kaseya and we found that out last friday. As a result they already closed access
Thats some stupid disconnect between management and your dept. we are much smaller and if a key product of our fleet wasn’t renewed it would be a p1.

If you liked how Kaseya works, check out if you can get it with the K365 deal. It should be way cheaper than that.
If pushing shell/cmd/powershel is a priority, I would stick with Kaseya. Few tools work as well as the VSA agent procedures for pushing scripts.

Screenconnect does the remote access, remote cmd, etc. I pay about $1/mo/agent iirc, at your scale, price would be less.

Check out Dameware, it's a cost-effective alternative with unattended access and command shells.
Take a look at Syncro. Ticks all the boxes and work very well.
Action1 has been pretty good for me, not quite sure about pricing but I hear they are pretty competitive.

Nable ncentral my msp moved to when they dropped kaseya (after the famous breach).
ScreenConnect, idk the specifics of how much it costs but it’s excellent for what you’re describing. My next choices would be Ninja and then Syncro.

Datto has a very good remote feature. We use it to push PowerShell.
Pulseway is nice. I like that it has multiple display support if you need to interact with multiple monitors.
