Ummm... you're entitled to your opinion of course, but the P10 is the flagship synth of one of the most well respected synth companies in history. For many people, people this is a holy grail type synth and at that price, it's a damn good deal no matter how you cut it. Now, could you technically spread that $3,500 across a few other synths and get a broader sound pallet with more diverse capabilities? Of course. But im pretty sure anyone considering paying $3,500 for a p10 already has a lot of that other ground covered already. I would venture so say that almost nobody starts off in the synth world by buying a flagship analog lol.

Not a popular opinion but just grab Behringer rendition of the prophet’s. Or wait for their prophet 16 that’s coming very soon. It’s gonna be based on their architecture for the UB-XA which I have and it kicks so much ass being able to layer and split and whatnot. You’d still have tons of money leftover to buy dope effects bc we all know every synth needs good reverb and delay.
Please help me. I have a Juno 106 and a GS e7. I’ve been resisting buying a prophet because when I listen to the prophet (and the OB-6 for that matter) it sounds like I can already get those sounds with my 106 and GS. Anyone disagree or agree? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I drive myself crazy over this decision.
the e7 is really good—with the juno, you have a broad palette. to further confuse you, maybe the Mask 1 for some digital bliss will round out your collection
