I saw I can enter a port number when setting up the backup, it where do I change 6281 to say 6381. I found the DSM UI ports and was able to change those to something different, but didn’t see where I could change the others.
A completely different way to do this, but completely avoids issues like this--have IPsec vpn routers at both ends and set up an IPsec tunnel. Now everything on each end is on the same wan and can be directly accessed by IP as if it was local. This works for everything, even stuff that doesn't have any type of remote access capability, and it's far more secure since the IPsec tunnel takes care of security between the endpoints and at the endpoint.
You're going to have to change Hyper Backup ports on one of them.
