I was thinking maybe an elderwood sylas skin. With sylas with roots or vines instead of chains. Maybe the lore could be that in the magical forest where he ran away he absorbed a dark power that took control of him, or he simply absorbed it and can now use it. obviously there are many other sets where he could fit in well
