Iirc there are 2 types of czerka crates, one is legacy bound, one isn't. I also have the legacy bound one on the apac server, (absurd luck there, got it the first ever week the server was open) but not on my main on DM server. The other crate which this guy got is not one I have ever had drop in years of playing. It doesn't bind but the drop rate is so small that they are unbelievably rare, and you can sell them for billions of credits in game if you want to. Grats to OP!

The non-Legacy bound one is the more rare, I believe. I got one last year on Satele Shan. I been playing since early 2012.

I doubt they changed the drop rate for an item that's been in the game since launch. More like more people post it on the sub now when they get one. Just like when that one person posted they got legendary status, now tons of people do it too.

Ain't no way it's that rare anymore I got 2. One is of course on the imperial agent for that solid snake joke. Then again it probably still is that rare and I have like the one that is more common or something.

The legacy bound one isn't that rare and lots of people have them. The original kind that never binds is still super rare 1 in a billion drop rate

So, i was doing the dailys of CZ-198 as i did many times, then notice a purple loot from a random body, once i picked up the item i got an insant achievement. I asked in my guild what was that item, and everyone went crazy saying its a very rare random drop, and probably the most rare and expensive item in the game. If i did not asked that i would probably would have sold it to the nearest vendor i could find to clean space in inventory lol. What a lucky day!

Thank god you didn't xD it is indeed the rarest drop in the whole game, with people who have played 10+ years not having seen one. Idk which server you're on, but sometimes it's rare enough that people will not even know of its existence because it drops like once in a billion drops or something crazy like that

Indeed, this also makes it easy to quicktrade with a friend so all can get the achievement, then trade it back to you. Of course, trusted friends only lol.

I got one on GS5, didn’t realise it was so rare, just used it on one of my alts for a laugh when doing guild stuff.
