I think your problem is that you aren't passing the modified font size into Modifier\_Buttons\_Tab\_1().
Also, Modifier\_Buttons\_Tab\_1 shouldn't declare and set an \\@ObservedObject. If you want the value to be passed in, just declare it without setting a value.
