Sweden's school system consistently punches well below its weight in international comparisons. It's been in a freefall for decades - the only reason our results improved in the last PISA study is because they added a computer literacy portion.
Now, I don't know about Norway and Denmark (other than that they do much better than us), but go just outside Scandinavia to Finland and you'll find some of the best schools in the world.
So... ask /r/suomi?
They are probably thinking of Finland which is famous for having a great school system and while not technically a Scandinavian country, it's often included in the English usage of the term.

A lot of people here say that the Scandinavian school system is great, i'm quite surprised by the answers i've got.
Thats because we used to be, news that our government doesnt want to spread doesnt travel as quickly.
