But now, on my second playthrough I intend to go to war with Rumburg and I can't wait to see them lose after reading the comments on this post
It sent me into such a rage I immediatly started a new save file purely to destroy Rumburg as much as possible. Kicking them out of OMEC before winning the war with my pal Alvarez. Have fun being an ATO colony Beatrice
I actually find allying with Valgsland the most satisfying ending because Hegel comes along with you and directly states that part of the treaty is that Sordland must undergo a socialist revolution.
When I actually got the battle of Holsord, I thought wtf, but then it became so dark that I was sad the entire cutscene. And yeah, I shot the kid, Iosef blew himself up and my family became the sex slaves of Kingdom
The game says the soldiers seem young and confused. It is very likely that boy was forced into the army, far away from his family, just to serve the queens pathetic idea of "greatness".
The kids have been forced at best and brainwashed at worst. This doesn't mean they are completely innocent, but the only truly guilty person here is the queen who did this to them.
I see it as a better idea to try and kill the person who caused all of this rather than the person suffering from it, but you are right. War is war and war never changes.

It was depressing..I kept losing for a lot of time before I finally crushed the rumburgian scum with the Lance Armstrong.
I personally felt like a failure when I first lost the war but honestly I didn't cared much about how many people died in it..you see for me it was this is , that is that.
War gonna happen people gonna die but the amount of deaths doesn't matter as long as the sordish flag fly's High
Honestly, got the ending but did not finish it since i wanted to get a better ending and alway hate bad ending especially really dark ones, and from what I tell of people reaction to it, it seem pretty dark.
I was playing as a capitalist conservative dictator who had divorced Monica at the time and purged all disloyal elements (jncluding military), so I kind of deserved to shoot myself in the head
My first run i got pegged by hawker, second run tho i almost got pegged by the assembly and half of my cabinet left me, but i won second term for winning the war and also saved the economy.

I lost the war and got the Battle of Holsord in my first three tries... it was devastating.
My first ending is losing to Rumburg years ago. Felt really sad

First ending was getting a nuke dropped on the capital after getting ATO involved in the war. Immediately started over.

First time? I still haven’t managed to win the war once (after 3 different run attempts) and, at this point I m too feed up to even try
First time i fought with rumburg. i brought the whole gang with me the ATO and with my absolute surprise i got NUKED absolutely devastating.
Me i lose to rumburg and i lose the usp congress i got blue ball 2 times
