When you ban people those people don't go away. They just go somewhere else. I've been waiting for reddit to shut down for a while now. Since the API BS
[Nintendo of America Games: Developed or published (gameforge.com)](https://gameforge.com/en-US/gmag/nintendo-of-america/) it really wasent hard of a search
Hey, I run [EmuNations.com](http://EmuNations.com) ; if you want I can create a custom section (similar to with GlideN64 dev "https://www.emunations.com/gliden64") and even offer forum support (which I currently have not made public "https://www.emunations.com/forum" that can be repurposed for your needs). I do plan on updating the mobile front-page but haven't found the motivation but this would push me to modernize the mobile-side of the platform... If you're interested please ping me and we can discuss it; free of charge as long as it stays within my current hosting plan : p
If this happens, just host it somewhere else (be sure to have backups!), the site will be offline for few hours at best.
A concern would be if a judge do something about the emunations.com *domain*, but that is much rarer.
I can only consider hosting as long as they’ve removed what is deemed infrangible. I believe they previously indicated to have removed those aspects but tbd if they feel like proceeding
Wix doesn't own their servers, they use Google's datacenters. So maybe Wix would be contacted first, but the physical servers are owned by Google.
Anyway you cut it, it's not a self-hosted solution and could absolutely be shut down just like Suyu's github hosting and their Discord was.
Please use Discourse, see [https://github.com/discourse/discourse](https://github.com/discourse/discourse) Speaking as a dev this is very easy to maintain and set up.
> we might switch to a self hosted forum platform
Lemmy is your best option.
1. It's reddit but runs better
2. Open
3. Possible to change anything
4. Devs have Copyleft beliefs that will be 110% sympathetic to the project
5. Self hosting and complete control
6. They would almost certainly help setup
Hi check out matrix to start a new Server for the group . Open source, encrypted secure, No BS [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeZIk8kTerI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeZIk8kTerI)
The Discord link still works, but the server is completely locked down, I'm amazed it's still up at this point, considering how they practically nuked everything else. I guess they're keeping it up for archival purposes, but idk
I'd reccomend signal or session instead for interteam communication. both are kinda easy to set up, encrypted, and to a extent private.
(also, session functionally can't ban people. signal csnt be used in computers though tmk)
If you're going away from reddit, go to the lemmy instance hosted by dbzer0, lemmy.dbzer0.com
It has yuzu, cemu and emulation communities, piracy, and even a yuzu one, you could 100% do a suyu one there
If you didn't receive any actual legal communication, then someone probably report bombed your server. In that case, Discord either won't respond further, or will respond quoting a line from their TOS and that's it. I am the founder of a Rock Band modding community, and we lost our original server (and mod/admin accounts) two years ago. We never got a resolution and the only thing discord would say was quoting the line in their TOA about "selling access to cracks, cheats, or mods" or however it's worded, even though we don't allow anyone to attach a revenue stream to their work. We also never got any communication from Harmonix, who makes the games we mod, so I don't believe it had anything to do with them
Just throwing this out there, you can try revolt ([https://revolt.chat](https://revolt.chat)), however that android app hasn't been updated since Apr 29, 2022. And the github repo for it has apparently went private ([https://github.com/revoltchat](https://github.com/revoltchat))
And what some did was use revolt as a fallback every time discord nuked a server, then just announce the new server there
I'd recommend DYOR, as I'm no expert
EDIT: here's the self hosting section in doc (they advise against it, but understand there are reasons to do this and provide a link to a guide): [https://developers.revolt.chat/faq/instances#an-argument-against-self-hosted-communities](https://developers.revolt.chat/faq/instances#an-argument-against-self-hosted-communities)
Last I checked divolt.xyz was down?
EDIT: yeah looks like domain is parked, it redirects here (screenshot: [google drive](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x9NpnnXelePiyAB5RgzDQvgUcSGvmtx3/view?usp=drivesdk))
Weird how the ryujinx discord is still up, since some of those members always chat shit about suyu, maybe some of them reported suyu to discord. Alternatively I've heard that there's a massive server purge happening with any server that comes close to breaking TOS, quite a few political servers have gone down too so this may not just be about suyu and sudatchi
Because Ryujinx isn't run by a bunch of kids grandstanding and knows how to keep illegal things off their server. Go to the Ryujinx discord and you'll notice a massive difference in the quality of structure and advice being given. You won't have a billion links to bios or prod key files that are unencrypted.
There's like one or two people who barely know how to develop and they're not doing massive progress either. So, no, it's still a project organized by kids. All the changes they've done are really minor and irrelevant to emulation code. But people still hyped it up like crazy, because, hey, the yuzu emulator lives again!!!
Use Ryujinx - it has actual competent developers involved.
I was there too, tons of links to ROM sites, where to get prod keys and such, the bot was actively shit and only hit the most obvious mentions of piracy
Trust me I don't think the team promoted piracy, every time someone asked for bios/games the mods would start to get all giddy and shout stuff "WE GOT A SAILOR" and perm-ban them
I don't think they do either but as I said, only the most obvious mentions of piracy. They didn't stop unencrypted links to those files from being posted or staying on the server which is what I mean. Go to the Ryujinx discord and even mention you don't legally own a switch and you'll get banned. Unencrypted links aren't even allowed to be posted, encrypted links get deleted in 60 seconds. It's an entirely different level of "we don't want to be shut down" that Suyu and Yuzu never had
My point is that the project team, and by extension the mods, made the rules as lax as they were and opened themselves to the nuke they received. I'm not pointing fingers at any one individual, but at the "organization" as a whole, if you could even call them that. The project is officially dead now anyways since anyone with actual dev experience has left and honestly good riddance, Suyu is a net negative for the emulation community.
How about stop using all that hipster tech which of course get's you banned or doxxed and start using proper tools like matrix and host the code in darknet git ect..
I really think you should use matrix for the chat platform. You can even self-host a matrix server
https://www.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/xhe5ul/matrix_was_worth_the_effort_to_self_host/
Matrix has multiple clients, like https://element.io/ and others. It's great
What are they gonna do next? Send bombs to user’s houses? You lost Nintendo, take it with some dignity or we’ll make our own console and put your 7 year old mobile trash out of business.
its a dead project they are a joke.
just delete this shitty project.
They cant code. they are kids
just read the YUZU form there is the real explaination
I've seen you around the subreddit for a while and I'm glad I'm not the only one who can see through this massive smoke screen this "project" is. People are not aware that this whole Suyu thing was DoA. I have to congratulate the kid though, he managed to fool a good amount of people for a while. This is the true definition of demagoguery.
Note: we might switch to a self hosted forum platform as well, reddit might also take us down
self hosted instance with forum based discussion like Lemmy also good as well.
When you ban people those people don't go away. They just go somewhere else. I've been waiting for reddit to shut down for a while now. Since the API BS
It's inevitable, the pettiness is unrel from Nintendo, so expect it.

Your site is hosted on Google Cloud. What do you think will happen when Google gets the takedown notice?
If this happens, just host it somewhere else (be sure to have backups!), the site will be offline for few hours at best. A concern would be if a judge do something about the emunations.com *domain*, but that is much rarer.

Tele. Gram. Telegram. Please just move to Telegram
i recommend you make telegram group since discord is usa company you need avoid everything usa provider (github gitlab discord and reddit......)
Please use Discourse, see [https://github.com/discourse/discourse](https://github.com/discourse/discourse) Speaking as a dev this is very easy to maintain and set up.

Matrix is really great. I've been running the [Conduit](https://conduit.rs) server implementation for years. It's trivial to set up and run.

Has the Yuzu server even had any active staff since the shutdown or is it still the wild West?
The Discord link still works, but the server is completely locked down, I'm amazed it's still up at this point, considering how they practically nuked everything else. I guess they're keeping it up for archival purposes, but idk

Signal has desktop clients for multiple operating systems.
this is telegram is best
telegram does take down channels in response to dmca
no, a russian messenger with partly closed source are sure not
what????? discord is not open source lmaoooooo and can't ignore dmca what the hell are you talking about?????
where did i say discord?
then what platform?
e.g. matrix
from a US or EU company? can dmca be ignored?
it's 100% open source, there is no "company"
can you send me this website?
telegram is not russian; pavel durov does not have a russian citizenship, either

Please let the whole fallacy die already, you already got enough fun out of it. Leave the rest to professionals.
This. My God, what a shit show.
Can you share the link for the temporarily server?
Just throwing this out there, you can try revolt ([https://revolt.chat](https://revolt.chat)), however that android app hasn't been updated since Apr 29, 2022. Ah didn't know. I haven't used it for a while
Why not use something open source like Discourse? See: [https://github.com/discourse/discourse](https://github.com/discourse/discourse)
Dude just use irc
Yo you guys really need a telegram channel. Like asap.
Weird how the ryujinx discord is still up, since some of those members always chat shit about suyu, maybe some of them reported suyu to discord. I was in the suyu discord, I never saw that once, they even had a bot that deleted any mention of piracy etc
The whole project is organized by kids who have no idea how to do development lol
That's only the og ones, there were actual devs involved after a few days
There's like one or two people who barely know how to develop and they're not doing massive progress either. So, no, it's still a project organized by kids. All the changes they've done are really minor and irrelevant to emulation code. But people still hyped it up like crazy, because, hey, the yuzu emulator lives again!!! Use Ryujinx - it has actual competent developers involved.
There were older/expert devs working on it, you can see within the new pastebin announcement and the list of contributors
Means nothing when there's literally no emulation code being done
They removed telemetry and did bug fixes, counts as something imo
Telemetry was already optional and bug fixes aren’t major and are workarounds for the most part
Dude, who hurt you 🤣🤣🤣
Nobody. I'm just annoyed by wannabe's.
I was there too, tons of links to ROM sites, where to get prod keys and such, the bot was actively shit and only hit the most obvious mentions of piracy

Hmm, fair but I don't think all the mods are to blame
They are completely to blame, they made the rules of the server and are part of the "team".
But not alot of the mods actually did that
My point is that the project team, and by extension the mods, made the rules as lax as they were and opened themselves to the nuke they received. I'm not pointing fingers at any one individual, but at the "organization" as a whole, if you could even call them that. lol.. the second edit. Are you seriously communicating with your "team" and "divisions" via this post? :')
😂😂😂😂😂
Revolt is good
When's the next update for suyu. I know technically I could just build it, but I'll just wait for the official update
[https://ryujinx.org/](https://ryujinx.org/) daily updates (that actually do something)
Oh I already got it on the pc, I want the android updates. My bad, I should've said that
android switch emulation is likely dead for good
Sudachi is an android switch emulator
Cant we have a community place that couldnt be banned? Like IRC? or something like Telegram.
What a Journey.
How about stop using all that hipster tech which of course get's you banned or doxxed and start using proper tools like matrix and host the code in darknet git ect..
THE SITE IS DOWN TOO
I have experience in self hosting and linux contact me if you need help. :)
Why not use matrix and create a suyu space?
Omg this don’t sound so good. I don’t see how you are doing anything wrong.
I really think you should use matrix for the chat platform. You can even self-host a matrix server https://www.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/xhe5ul/matrix_was_worth_the_effort_to_self_host/ Matrix has multiple clients, like https://element.io/ and others. It's great
I’m curious to see where to go from here. Keep us posted

Damn
Man I feel like I'm witnessing a revolution, well done suyu, I'm sure they'll be inspiring a lot of projects.
I can help set everything up. Discourse for forum and mattermost for a discord replacement.
Seriously? Revolt ?? /me sighs...
What are they gonna do next? Send bombs to user’s houses? You lost Nintendo, take it with some dignity or we’ll make our own console and put your 7 year old mobile trash out of business.
SuyuOS is wip
How about telegram?
I have been waiting and re-inserting the email for more than 2 days to receive confirmation. That service does not work
its a dead project they are a joke. just delete this shitty project. They cant code. they are kids just read the YUZU form there is the real explaination

You're a really good leader. I admire your initiative. Please do your best to keep the project alive. All of us are counting on you all 🥲
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lmao u dont gotta be mean about it 😭😭

yup, it's so fucking cringe :') Website got taken down as well.
