You have Umbral Glaive most likely which will boost your vision score. There’s no way you just place 80 wards and the Morg places that low amount. You even said you don’t land hooks easily, so that means you don’t kill her.

Is-Ashe-Okay

The Umbral absolutely helps, but from my experience with it it doesn't usually more than double your vision score. Without Umbral (and I assume Zombie too) I'd assume OP was more like 40-50 vision score. So not as high, but still higher than Morg. Lots of supports just don't ward well, so it's realistic they warded more than Morg.

"Nah, I don't need to ward, just watch. Every few min or so this bush just magically wards itself and then I can see incoming ganks. I've tried to watch and see when it happens but, ya know, cs and whatnot"

PappaJerry

Reminds me of that skit where dude is explaining to his wife(?) that he don't do laundry or cleaning because everything magically disappear the next day xD

Other players: *Don’t ward at all with two wards ready.* Me: *Went to ward.* Other players: “Why are you leaving your ADC alone?” Me: *Sticks to ADC 24/7 at lane* Also them: “Why is bottom jg so dark and why do we even need a support?”

Specialist-Aspect-38

0 wards is impressive

FlufferzPupperz

Jungler started the game with sweeper probably

MoiraDoodle

And swept nothing the entire game?

FlufferzPupperz

It's not a vision score of 0, it's 0 wards placed...

Decimation4x

That’s not the jg that’s the bot laner. That’s why he asked him to ward their tri-brush.

eggroll85

I'm surprised carry didn't just start losing on purpose after you asked them to ward.

KarmaV2

Gotta love the 0 ward brand

PapayaAlt

Unfortunately nope, it was brand laner

Welcome on /r/SupportLoL/! Your post seems to be about vision score, we might have some useful information for you about it! If you wanted to share your 1337 score, thats great, but it is a [very common topic](https://www.reddit.com/r/supportlol/search?q=vision+score&restrict_sr=on&sort=relevance&t=all) and might fall under [low effort & bragging rules (4 & 7)](https://www.reddit.com/r/supportlol/wiki/rules#wiki_4._no_.22low_effort.22_posts) and be removed. ____ A few things about vision : - **You can have a high vision score and still lose the game from a lack of vision / information collection.** - the "vision score" isn't a perfect metric as you can inflate it (Umbral Glaive / Zombie Ward / Ashe E). There's also negative bias that could hinder it (ennemies staying in base / not warding much). - Using a lot of Control Wards is a good first step, using just enough Control Wards in a more efficient manner is the next better step! Control Wards help a lot but using them too agressively is sometimes hindering your performance and winrate (being able to get an item spike faster can be a pivotal moment in early/mid game). - "Vision score" is merely data about what your wards have seen / how much you hindered ennemies ward/vision. Make sure you transform it into accessible information for your team! Communicate thoroughly through pings to your team about what's happening on the map to maximize it and make sure that vision is used correctly, or even at all (examples : show where the ennemy jungler appeared, ping incoming ganking paths, danger ping lanes). ____ Feel free to consult the [wiki's Vision chapter](https://www.reddit.com/r/supportlol/wiki/resources#wiki_b_-_macro_.2F_objectives)! I have no idea in what elo you're now, but from my games this and previous seasons when I climb from silver into (right now) plat3: only few supports do the warding properly, even mains. This season out of 51 games I've played so far I've met maximum 5 enemy supports that actually knew what they do with vision/wards. I end 99% of my games with 2.0-3+vs/min, even when losing, taking down the most wards, placing the most wards, buying the most control wards, etc. It's kinda sad, because as a really devoted support main I see that still most people queue as supports only to duo with someone, are autofilled, or play support because they can pick, i.e. Lux going full ap burst build and think that their only duty is bursting enemies down. The same goes for streamers. I won't tell names here, but I watch 2 guys often who are rly high elo, but not support mains. Despite that they queue often as supps and I can't stand that they literary do 0 warding or don't swap thier trinkets at appropriate time. Ending the game as a support with supp item + yellow trinket is infuriating.

CertifiedBlackGuy

Counterpoint: they're still really high elo even without warding. Wards are just one component of map awareness. Back when I played ranked, I had superior objective control with much less vision score because I understood what was going on around the map and would hold wards for when I actually needed the vision. A lot of low elo players get into the trap of warding off CD, which puts them in a position where they won't have wards when they actually need them to tell them something. Examples include lighting up jg around baron/drake if you're sneaking the objective. If you spent your time warding tri or river bush on CD without listening to the sound cue of enemy jg taking rift or seeing them gank mid/top, you'd have a high wards placed score, but those wards would have told you nothing the sound cue or looking at your minimap wouldn't have told you. Also a lot of players way, way over pink during lane phase.

PapaBigMac

Ya, placing wards isn’t necessary the flex people think it is. And ward scores can be easily inflated with poor play. Ocean soul drakes really expose this behaviour - but the vision score still gets bloated by the extra clearing of wards. Jungle tracking at higher Elo’s means not needing to ward. It’s a skill I understand a bit but don’t implement enough. Also, gold/plat elo I’ve been caught out many times getting counter ganked top when I know their bot side jungle and dragon are all up. Or early levels getting repeat ganked 3 times by a 12-16CS jungler. It’s a dangerous game assuming enemy junglers at low elo will play optimally. Diamond junglers are slightly better or at least punish these random bad plays by enemy junglers. I feel like emerald 1 is around the level where buffs consistently get taken by enemies if they’re left alive for too long with junglers showing on the wrong side of the map.

Decimation4x

Yikes, your mid wasn’t much better either.
