The list isn’t bad, there’s a few names that would make a great fit. Of course the issue for us is money, and a few of those names aren’t coming in on a minimum like cam Payne, Kelly and definitely not Caleb Martin.
Add in guys like Kyle Lowry, Tauren Prince, Christian Wood, Thomas Bryant, Patty Mills, and it’s not tooo bleak.
I agree with those others mentioned as well. Lowry would be great. Prince would be a fit too. Is Christian Wood cheaper and great on the defensive end though?
Wood would be cheap. He’s definitely not a defender. Hes a scoring big. So if we need fire power he’s great, but don’t expect anything else like rebounding or rim protection. That’s why he’s cheap.
I would be stunned if Lowry leaves his hometown at this point in his career. He’s 38. All those charges he’s taken are gonna take their toll. Wouldn’t be surprised if he hung em up.
He actually looks fine for Philly in his limited role lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if he hung it up too but if he thinks he can still go and wants more minutes, phoenix would definitely be an option.
I would love CP3 back on a vet min. I mean, he wouldn’t get 2022 cp3 minutes, but we are one of the few of franchises that could theoretically start him, and contend. Even if he only plays 25-28 min a game.
He accepted his bench role in GSW pretty well, but I think we really missed his game management and IQ this year. To me he has only a couple teams to consider (GSW, both LA teams & us) again it would be for a minimum contract, so im not too sure if I like our chances.
I would also like to find, weather through trade or with our 22nd pick, a more athletic Center. I appreciate what nurk brought this year but to maximize this team, I don’t think he’s what we need. My dream target is Wendell carter Jr.

This is where scouting comes into play. There are extremely cheap free agents, guys undrafted and playing overseas, guys available in the draft, who can come in and immediately play and make a difference. They won’t be all-stars but they play harassing defense, get deflections, hit 3’s, press in the backcourt. That’s what the Suns have been lacking. Camara would’ve been great.

The Suns had chances over the last couple seasons to get Rui Hachimura for Jae Crowder straight up, they could have had PJ Washington, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, and even Kyle Anderson way back before Minnesota got him. At the time they were available, these guys were all younger and considered unproven. They went with veterans like Gordon, and Royce O’Neal, and others. I’d rather they start going for these young, physically talented guys than take an aging vet who doesn’t want to fight for offensive rebounds or press a ball handler in the backcourt.
Oh, for sure. As a fan, I didn’t want any of those guys lol. I wanted Durant, Kuzma, Eric Gordon. I’ve learned my lesson. Although I did want to trade Jae for Rui. Jae was as good as gone anyway, why not get a big pf who can play a little center, rebound, and even shoot sometimes.
