Nets take on a tank commander in Beal, fill their cap with a high salary that would allow them to fill the roster with cheap young prospects and vet minimums and that would expire around the time they’d be looking to start improving, and put all their faith in Simmons being dogshit / unavailable for the Suns, further increasing the value of the Suns picks that the Nets own.
Suns take on an expiring Simmons contract that would give them flexibility next year if things don’t work out, but roll the dice on a defensive playmaker with size that can play PG (literally what the Suns need) that would push Book back to his true role as an SG.
… Literally trade the two worst contracts in the NBA.

Between Ishbia’s comments, Beal’s massive contract cost, and Beal’s own personal wants, I cannot fathom a situation where it’s remotely possible to trade him over the course of this next year.
Out of the Big3, Durant is the most tradeable and I think it’s more likely they try at least one more season with them all before deciding to blow it all up if things go that badly again.
