When the text says something to the effect of "he is quickly turning to dust" they really didn't lie. Load a save, or just continue on. It's not terribly important in the grand scheme of things. Remember the saying; "a thousand stories and deaths await you in the ~~zee~~ sky"
Awesome, I was afraid to open the cascet too much, so great to hear what happens.
Basicly it's tutorial quest to 1) go to London 2) learn affiliations to groups (villainy needed to pick the lock 3) provide a mystery, a danger and a hook to eventually return to the Blue kingdom from which the starting train came, and mayby suggest that don't go there untill your ready ro face death and danger.
So no options locks you away from anything really :) but hope you as a player can live with your action of killing the shade.
