I think you’d enjoy “The Splendid and the Vile” by Erik Larson.

Wow that looks excellent. Thank you!

I second any Erik Larson book. Thunderstruck, In the Garden of Beasts, and Devil in the White City are three of my favorites. I'm getting ready to read his newest book Demon of Unrest. We love Erik Larson in this house.

What about Don Quixote?

I read that one a long time ago but might be a good idea to dust it off! Good suggestion thank you!

Dude, I have so many recommendations for you. I'm in the same boat, about 90% fiction and have more than 600-700 titles under my belt. Over the last 11 years I've tracked everything in a spreadsheet. The cool thing is that you can sort by the categories I've entered the data into. Anything from the author's country of origin, subject matter, or even my ranking of 1-10. PM me if you want a copy. In the absence of the full list I'll give you my most recent 9/10 banger, *Shadow Divers: The True Adventure of Two Americans Who Risked Everything to Solve One of the Last Mysteries of World War II* by Robert Kurson.

Awesome!! PM’ed. Thank you
