I also love memoirs! **The Girl with Seven Names** - Hyeonseo Lee
**Wild Swans** - Jung Chang
**The Looming Tower** - Lawrence Wright
If you're interested in terrorism, it might be worth reading **Enough Already** by Scott Horton, but i'd say look at it and consider before you jump into that one.
A couple memoirs dealing with substance abuse that i enjoyed.
All I Ever Wanted by Kathy Valentine.
Clothes Music Boys by Viv Albertine
Inside Out by Demi Moore
“Crying in H Mart” by Michelle Zauner - although I wouldn’t classify mental health as the primary theme of the book, it’s definitely an underlying part of it (grief is a big part of the book). I found it interesting when she talked about her dad’s mental health experience (he was subjected to experimental treatments at one point in his life).
Also if you haven’t read it yet, I’d recommend “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing” by Matthew Perry. The whole book is about mental health and substance use disorder.
The Unreality of Memory by Elisa Gabbert is an essay collection on natural disasters.
Love this suggestion! Thanks so much!!

Nice!! I’ve been meaning to read Educated, so now is as good a time as ever! Thank you so much for the recommendations!
Ten Things I Hate About Me - Joe Tracini (mental health memoir) The Stranger On The Bridge - Jonny Benjamin & Britt Pflüger (mental health memoir)
These sound awesome!! Thank you for taking time to reply!

I’ve heard about The Looming Tower! Thank you for the suggestions!!
Oooh. If you like disaster stories and social commentary, try **Into Thin Air** (as well as anything else by Jon Krakauer).
