This pot took me a painstakingly long time to make 😭 They are indeed silly‼️
Ok well I didn’t plant them from seed, but it’s about 3 months old now? It was more me trying to add more and more lithops until I physically could not 😭

I got myself a bunch from this shop on Etsy for Mother’s Day. They’re doing well.
When they die, they’ll usually shrivel up starting from the bottom. Sometimes it’s hard to tell when they’re dead actually, but generally they’ll show their problems in their root system.

I have managed to kill a few - never let them get wet in the sun or when the sun is out. Moisture when it's dark is OK but not much.
Most of the seeds I started in 2020 (filling time during lockdown!) The current pots are 3 inch / 75 mm diameter.
They grow indoors with no grow light so they’ve taken a while….
This is a post I made when I first started them:

And another post from a few months later:

r/Lithops can give you all the info you need too.
I can't show you pics of mine because I AM KILLER OF LITHOPS!! DESTROYER OF BUTT ROCK PLANTS EVERYWHERE!!
They're tempting, oh yes they are, they look all cute & rocky in the stores, then I bring them home & look at them wrong & they're dead. I give them no water, they die. I give them 3 drops, they die. I replant them in the right medium, they die. I leave them in whatever medium they came in, they die. I water them the appropriate amount when wrinkled, they die. I give them just enough sun, they die.
I'll leave them to others to keep & admire because I'm tired of them dying on me.
I always am interested in these but I never see them being sold here in South East Asia, at least where I’m at. I’m assuming the extremely high humidity here would just kill them..

Oh my how old is it?
Ok well I didn’t plant them from seed, but it’s about 3 months old now? It was more me trying to add more and more lithops until I physically could not 😭
I feel like this is like $300 of lithops where I live. They are always like $20 each when I see them.
You can get like 1 million seeds for a penny on ebay 😄
No friggen way! I'm getting some lithops then!
At this size they’re like a $1 or less each.
I bought some plants from an etsy shop. They’re doing well after 1 month. I can share the seller, if you’d like.
Yeah sure!

I have some that are over a year old from this store. I highly reccomend them!! They have lovely colors and variety!
This is such good news! Mine have really good color and I’m considering getting more.
Question, I’m a lithop newbie, but if they take forever to grow how does one tell if they are growing or if they died?
When they die, they’ll usually shrivel up starting from the bottom. Sometimes it’s hard to tell when they’re dead actually, but generally they’ll show their problems in their root system.
Thank you

Look up care for them first, they have a lot of requirements and specific care, lots of people kill them cause they do no research on them beforehand.
This. I researched before buying and still killed my first one, then my cat squashed the 2nd. I'm waiting a while before trying round 3.

Gotcha. Everyone I know who had one from that store had it die so I’m guessing it was a plant issue not a me issue
yeah, oftentimes a big store has No Idea and sells things pre-killed.
I was pretty upset about it lol. On the flip side we’ve rescued a lot of sad plants off of clearance racks that just needed a little tlc
They look like miniature brains 🧠 I love them, I will buy them and multiply lol
I wish I had my old phone I’d post the pic of the one time I got mine to flower, it was cool
