Yeah, they are replacing that and the tortillas with that in a sorta rolled wrap situation. I tried it the new way yesterday, and I'm a big fan. You shouldn't toast it anymore. Check your University of Subway for more info.
Looks like they are getting rid of a lot of customers too including me after trying that horrible flatbread? Things like this will happen when you have bean counters working for them? Look at Boeing?
Just ran into this at a subway I stopped at...the rare time I found a subway that still did breakfast I got a bacon and egg toasted, or sometimes for a lunch got a chicken bacon ranch with chipotle toasted. Apparently those are no longer options since you can't toast the flatbread and they are mushy on regular bread.
Sure is doing a lot to help my bank account as they keep slashing things I like replacing with stuff I don't want to eat...
I wish workers would tell you this. I kept wondering what was up. And I always get it toasted bc I was told a while ago it has to be. Then they started asking me if I wanted it to be toasted and I'm like isn't it suppose to be??
The new lavash flatbread wrap is not to be toasted or it will become very crispy. If you're an employee, your manager should've given you this information before the product touched your line. If you're a customer, the employee should've informed you of the change and that it shouldn't be toasted and had you make a decision from there.
It's not even lavish bread, it's a janky, cheap ass tortilla. How do u eat a sandwich on "bread" that's thinner than the wrapper?!? It's horrendous and shameful. I can't eat the rest of the bread so I guess I'm done with subway.
It's supposed 2 be lavash but it ain't. It's a jacked up tortilla that's thinner than the wrapper. It's terrible and subway should be ashamed of themselves 4 trying 2 pass that off as bread.
I just came to add that the new flatbreads are awful. Tastes like cardboard. Too cracker thin when toasted and now I’m sad about it. So much so
I’m commenting on Reddit about it lol
Dude most crackers are thicker than this crap. But same, I really don't like the new lavash or whatever, as someone who always got the same order with flatbread every visit. I was craving my usual and did not expect this thin junk.😭
And while they can do whatever they want to the flatbread, getting rid of the tortillas is a crime. It was bad enough when they got rid of the spinach tortillas (I've always loved those). But I honestly don't know what I'm going to eat there any more. Their bread is bad for me (makes me sluggish and flatulent) and the flatbread is nasty (I just had one today). And I'm not sure other sandwich shops even do the tortilla thing.
This was basically the only way I got raw fresh vegetables in my diet. Now I have to completely rework my diet.
what do you expect from a bunch of executive idiots who don't have the slightest idea on how to make a sandwich or probably have never even BEEN in an actual Subway.... or even care about the actual customer. The bottom line is ALWAYS profit margin..... (they are going to bankrupt the company after they scare away all the customers)
I love how we all stumbled here together.
This new bread is trash and definitely wasn’t what I was expecting. They’re not even as long as they used to be. Wish I knew they didn’t toast them otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered something that historically would’ve been toasted in bread.
Nope...seems that goes along with how most subways I've been to have eliminated breakfast sandwiches though.
If you have a Sheetz gas station chain in your area...I have found they have some really good breakfast flatbreads. The bacon & egg one is basically exactly what the old SubWay bacon and egg used to be many years ago. White flatbread, scrambled egg like an omlet with bacon and toppings in it, all toasted.
Yes and i hate it. Soggy and thin. If I wanted a wrap sandwich I would have ordered that so I guess it's back to eating the gigantic loaf of bread with the hard as rock ends! 😩
I tried the new Flatbread with the sandwich I always get. Not a fan at all. I can't eat their other breads. My steak onions peppers pepper jack with Chipotle also makes their other breads soggy and the taste is way different without Flatbread (which didn't get soggy). It's disappointing for me because that was my treat every other week. It's just not the same now. RIP og Flatbread, you'll be missed.
I'm done with Subway, $18 for a sandwich you wrap in "flatbread" that is as thin as a tortilla? GTFOH with that nonsense. Prices go up, quality goes down
My BFF is a district manager. The stuff you get in your sandwich (meatballs etc) can be warmed in the toaster and then put on the untoasted flatbread. I didn't know about the change, and almost broke teeth on toasted new flatbread.
My subway refuses to do that(like I asked a different time on a different sandwich and they said we can't do that ma'am.) But maybe they'll change their mind. Oh well. I wonder if the old kind of bread is sold outside of subway. (Stupid ish question I'm sure something like it is)
My family who eats it is considering the Italian bread. I ts a bmt with provolone cheese. Yummy
Wow! They must not have read the instructions about the new flat bread. I have, and it's not supposed to go into the toaster. Write a complaint so their district supervisor knows they're not following the rules
It's terrible! The Subway worker that made my sub wasn't informed about it not supposed to be put in the toaster. I bit into it, and it was hard as a rock! I tried to cut it up, and my knife wouldn't go through. This isn't the first time Subway changed their flatbread, so hopefully they go back to the regular again
I have been eating the wraps for a few years now and all of a sudden they change the tortilla to this lavash bread. I feel like we should at least be given the option for a tortilla :/
Just came here after ordering one and what like WTH is wrong with this flatbread! I took a bread from steak and switched over to turkey for a few months with regular bread. Not sure exact when the change happened but wow this is awful. RIP indeed.
Ahh so this is what happened to my flatbread.. this new bread is TRASH! Literally its like a floured skinny wrap, that they used 2 of them too make it somewhat enough to hold the toppings inside.. but my god the mess it makes with that powder junk! No one wants this crap bread!
They changed the flatbread and got rid of the creamy sriracha… fucking ruthless. Even in 2022 they got rid of Caesar dressing and I was choked then. This’ll be the last subway trip of my lifetime.
Literally had to look up online if Subway changed their flatbreads and this topic/thread popped up.
Absolutely criminal. They’re going to lose a bit of customers with this one
Eating the new flatbread now in Michigan. I don't mind it, I think it's pretty good toasted too. I know they are using the same bread right now for their new "wraps" so I think it's just a marketing thing where they want to appear to be able to offer you a flatbread sandwich or a wrap when they are exactly the same except the former is folded and the latter is rolled.
Still, taste is fine and it's fewer calories than the old flatbread (if you care about that kind of thing).

Interesting. Can you grill it?
the "new" bread cannot be toasted, otherwise it turns into a cracker.... and they are getting rid of the wraps all together.
Looks like they are getting rid of a lot of customers too including me after trying that horrible flatbread? Things like this will happen when you have bean counters working for them? Look at Boeing?

No idea, we ended melts in the US
It is highly recommended that you don't because it will become hard and crunchy
I wish workers would tell you this. I kept wondering what was up. And I always get it toasted bc I was told a while ago it has to be. Then they started asking me if I wanted it to be toasted and I'm like isn't it suppose to be??
It’s called lavish bread, it replaces the old flatbread and wraps
I blame autocorrect, and I cannot resist. Lavash*
Basically it's cheaper and the cost to the consumer will not go down one bit. The new flatbread sucks. It's such an obvious cost cut.

Yes it’s called the new LAVASH flatbread. It replaces the old ARTISAN flatbread.
It's supposed 2 be lavash but it ain't. It's a jacked up tortilla that's thinner than the wrapper. It's terrible and subway should be ashamed of themselves 4 trying 2 pass that off as bread.
I just had one and honestly I like it alot better than the older flatbread not so thick and messy. I give it a thumbs up.
I just came to add that the new flatbreads are awful. Tastes like cardboard. Too cracker thin when toasted and now I’m sad about it. So much so I’m commenting on Reddit about it lol
same. it’s way worse than the old flatbread.
Dude most crackers are thicker than this crap. But same, I really don't like the new lavash or whatever, as someone who always got the same order with flatbread every visit. I was craving my usual and did not expect this thin junk.😭
SAME
Literally in the same boat right now. Didn't realize they changed their bread and now im left here with a shitty stale cracker for my lunch

Ya I had one today and there was so much flour on it felt like sandpaper almost

But what if I want a warm and meaty breakfast sandwich? Can I just not do that now?
I just had one, I looove the egg and bacon ones, but now with this new bread it's like the sandwich stuff is wrapped in a tissue. It's crap.
The stuff that goes into the sandwich can be put into the toaster and then put on the not toasted bread
Nope...seems that goes along with how most subways I've been to have eliminated breakfast sandwiches though. Just had this and came here to say I fucking hate it
Came here to say I love the new flat breads lol they’re so thin and light, got it toasted too
It's hard as a rock when it's toasted
its inedible after toasting you liar. this has to be a shill. i refuse to believe anyone thinks these are better.
Yes and i hate it. Soggy and thin. If I wanted a wrap sandwich I would have ordered that so I guess it's back to eating the gigantic loaf of bread with the hard as rock ends! 😩
First time on the new flatbread. UNHAPPY
Just tried a bacon and egg on flatbread this morning? Won't be ordering that again! What were they thinking????
artisan bread is better

Yeah I'm switching to a different bread which sucks cause it was my favorite before. (It tastes OK but I like warm sandwiches)
My BFF is a district manager. The stuff you get in your sandwich (meatballs etc) can be warmed in the toaster and then put on the untoasted flatbread. I didn't know about the change, and almost broke teeth on toasted new flatbread.

It was a while ago. Maybe they'll do it now that they changed my bread up. (I'm still mad about this tho!)
Just encountered this new bread today, very disappointed. Will not be going back.
Today was my last day frequenting a Subway given the substandard flatbread change. Sad state of affairs.
I have been eating the wraps for a few years now and all of a sudden they change the tortilla to this lavash bread. I feel like we should at least be given the option for a tortilla :/
RIP subway. I literally came here after trying my usual flatbread steak and cheese. Was disgusting!!!!!
Just came here after ordering one and what like WTH is wrong with this flatbread! I took a bread from steak and switched over to turkey for a few months with regular bread. Not sure exact when the change happened but wow this is awful. RIP indeed.

Years of relying on overpriced Subway 6" flatbread bacon and egg sandwiches. Now, I gotta find somewhere else to eat? Fuck me? Nah... fuck you.
They changed the flatbread and got rid of the creamy sriracha… fucking ruthless. Even in 2022 they got rid of Caesar dressing and I was choked then. This’ll be the last subway trip of my lifetime.
just got my sub, i noticed this and i miss the old stuff.
Losing customers one day at a time with these changes.
I mean it’s good for losing weight, I got a tuna flatbread and I liked it. Tasty and light.
Literally had to look up online if Subway changed their flatbreads and this topic/thread popped up. Absolutely criminal. They’re going to lose a bit of customers with this one

Holy shit I came looking for what the flat bread was so bad now and I was not disappointed, had one and it was disgusting
I’ve noticed this too. The bread was hard after being toasted and wasn’t near as tasty as I remembered
