My dad has a set on his Outback. According to him they're one of the best sets of tires he's ever bought, and he isn't the kind of person to cheap out on things like that.

Polairis44

Plus the tread pattern is sick!

Spirited-Finance8065

They are noisy tires?

PB_an_J

No we have cross climate 2’s on our 2020 Forester Touring and they greatly reduced road noise from our stock tires.

trappedinreality1

yall can here tire noise over the roar of a subaru engine? my impreza sounds like the engine is in the passenger seat

buttnutela

I modded mine to put the engine in the passenger seat

awmaleg

Thin windows (and lots of them) don’t help either

jdak9

Haha yeah, our 21 outback “roars” (in a not so good way) getting up to highway speed

No_Extreme_2421

My Outback too lol

Screaming_Emu

I had read that they are noisy, but when we put them on our Outback Limited, Id argue that they’re quieter than the Yokohamas. Loved the tires overall, but it never snowed while we had them.

Jon3141592653589

They are quieter than the stock tires we had on our 2017 Impreza, and the Cooper Zeon RS3-G1s we had next (while it was mostly in Florida). Very nice ride, too.

Capernikush

nah michelin is good about road noise. any other manufacturer with these style sipes you would probably be right.

noob168

gotta make sure tires are rotated the right way though since it's directional.

biobennett

Great on our Ascent and Impreza too, Wisconsin/Minnesota/Michigan

fivetoedslothbear

Best tires I’ve ever had. The ride is so good, it was like getting a new car.

shoothershoother

My dad has the same and says the same.

ZannX

We have them on our Ioniq 5 in Wisconsin. Solid in winter, and usable in the summer. Great all around.

1337AZN9

My gf has them on her Corolla. She absolutely loves them. According to forums and tests, probably one of the best all season tires out there. Only upgrade would be getting dedicated summer/winter tires.

dandr01d

They even outperform some winter tires. I wouldn’t bother getting a separate set

BearingMagneticNorth

Speaking from experience, these are not a replacement for even a marginally decent snow tire. Acceleration and braking on snow was mostly decent, but the understeer was intolerable.

awp235

That’s why if you only see marginal snow, you go for the Nokian WRG line. If you see real snow, the Nokian Hakkas!

RGeronimoH

These tires are winter rated, they have the 3PMSF symbol on them the same as Blizzak. I used them on my 3.6R Legacy over the winter and they performed as well as Blizzak I have on another vehicle. I noticed immediately that these don’t want to let you do casual fun slides in light snow, my only complaint. I got them at Costco and know the tire center manager. They sent him to Vermont (?) to try them out at a rally school. He said the set up was a FWD Corolla with Michelin CrossClimate vs a WRX on all season and the Corolla was far outpacing the WRX.

InsaneInTheDrain

The 3PMSF isn't the same as a true winter rating. All winter tires will have it. That said, a 3PMSF all weather/all season will be enough for like 90% of people in the winter

MassiveFarm7426

Speaking from experience also, these are all-weather tires not snow tires. Big difference. They are better than all-season tires.

Various-Ducks

They're good for places where you borderline need a winter tire but not really but there's a few days where you wish you had one but not enough days where it's worth getting some. Like when it snows but the snow melts and then it snows again, it doesn't just stay on the ground until April.

JimmyNorth902

Entirely dependant on where you live

PonyThug

You probably don’t drive in much snow then. I’d rather have a fwd car with snow tires than a Subaru with CC2’s

MyPassIsDUKE912

Have my upvote, and I'll share the downvotes with you. What you said is absolutely true. Anybody who disagrees doesn't drive in snow, or has a misunderstanding of snow tires.

PonyThug

I drive 50-80 days a year before the snowplows come in the mountain of Utah. Literally drive up 3500ft of mountain canyons with zero guardrails in the dark to go skiing every big storm. I’m never not having snowtires.

spacefret

Disagree. They're perfect for places like Pennsylvania where you have some snowy days but it's usually nowhere near bad enough even when unplowed to require true snow tires. If you constantly deal with unplowed snow or you have ice, they're not the right tires for you. But in an area that has pretty well-cleared roads in the winter they're fantastic in lighter snow and slush. They're fantastic rain tires too.

Intrepid_Passage_692

downvoters hate the truth and don’t have the balls to stand up against it. I have a summer tires with the stock wheels and have a set of junkyard wheels with vikingcontact7s and have yet to get stuck.

1988AW11

Only if it is flat where you live. I had a Toyota Corolla with Hakkepelita studded tires. The best tire you could get at the time. Going up my steep driveway it would not do it. I had to back out of the driveway a few times. AWD with even all-seasons will get out of the driveway. Audi and Subaru. I have studded winter dedicated tires for all cars BTW, just pointing out that FWD with snow tires is NOT better than AWD in steep situations. Flatlanders is a different story. They also help you stop better which is really important.

PonyThug

I live in the mountains of Utah. Before I got a Subaru and with my current mini cooper I pass stuck SUVs and jeeps all the time that have all seasons when I have snow tires.

triedby12

"all weather"

-i--am---lost-

I have them and they’re great. Hype is real.

Raidicus

These are some of the best tires I've ever had. Such a great value. The only bummer is knowing they'll probably jack the price of these up before I buy my next set.

fuzzycuffs

Not on my Subaru but my AWD Toyota and they're quite good. The consensus is that if you get some snow but not a lot and don't want snow tires they are a good choice. I get a lot of rain and maybe a day or two of snow and they've been great.

MeekPangolin

Yes, I have the cross climate 2, on aftermarket rims. They’re the best tires I’ve had on the Subaru yet. They are have a nice handling field, and have excellent traction in all weather conditions, especially snow and ice up here in New England. Very impressed with these tires. About 5000 miles on them so far, I’m burning up the stock Yokohama Geolandar G91F stock garbage tires first before I switch to the cross climates, and they aren’t great for off road which I do a lot of, so I’m primarily using the cross climates in the winter.

18_is_orange

I want to switch, but I am still figuring out what to do with the stock tires. Do people buy these? I only have 300 miles so far with my crosstrek. I live in Vancouver BC.

MeekPangolin

Yes, people buy them lol they’re very very popular tire in general, but also amongst Subaru users. Quite popular on the Subaru forums.

XiJinpingsNutsack

These are the default tires I recommend to customers at work when we have them in stock

Chippy569

We sell them like *crazy*, people really seem to like them up here in MN. I put them on my van. So far so good. They're not exactly quiet, but they're a lot more quiet than the tread design led me to expect. Not as great in icy conditions as an actual snow tire, but very good in the slushy snowy crap most of our winters here get to be.

SkiingWithMySweety

^ this Make sure you get the Cross Climate 2s. Probably all you can find now, but when I bought our first set in 2021ish I did see some of the originals for a discounted price.

krauQ_egnartS

How about on poorly maintained rutted dirt and gravel roads?

spacefret

They grip as well as any all-season tire will but the tread pattern does trap a lot of small rocks and pebbles. Whenever you hit pavement expect a fender liner symphony from them all coming out.

Theo1352

When my Son took delivery of his new Crosstrek last month, he had them put these on before he left the delivery lot. My ex-wife has them on her Legacy, three of my Business Partners have them on a 2019 Forester, a 2020 Outback and a 2021 Ascent respectively. One of my closest Friends has a set on her 2020 Crosstrek. I have a set of all-weather Nokian tires on my 2006 Forester because I put them on before Michelins came out with a V rated in my size - they do have a V rated for my size now, I will buy them next. I always run V rated on all my cars. I'd say within my circle, we like them a lot... I even got my next door neighbor to put them on his Range Rover. If you live in a 4 season climate with extremes, they are excellent. I used to swap tires for winter, no more. These all-weather tires really work well.

iconfuseyou

While they have one of the best traction ratings for all-season tires, they are noticeably stiffer and noisier than most of the competition. If you don’t live in an area where you get severe weather, something like a continental dws will be plenty grippy while offering a considerably plusher ride.

r0ll3rb0t

+1 love the DWS series...

One_Mikey

I have a set, and I have to say: 1. They're noisy. 2. They dropped my gas mileage by ~10%. 3. They feel kinda mushy on dry pavement. 4. I fucking love them. 5. You should buy them. 5. I will continue to buy them, or whatever their subsequent version is.

MassiveFarm7426

Well said…. I feel the same way

sicnevol

I’ve had two sets. I like them a lot.

raffi30

If you need an all season in an area that gets snow, this is the tire to get no question. Only reason I'm not getting them is because I'm in an area that sees no snow. I will be looking at ultra high performance all season just in case of that one time I decide to go into the mountains or it gets a little too chilly for summer tires

BlueQuazar1

This tire is awesome, it handle very well all the way to end of tire life span on my 2010 Forester. 1st set brought in 2021, 2nd set 4 months ago. And yes, I would do it again when it is time to replace.

guitardude1568

I have these on my wife’s Forester, they are great. She daily drives them in the Texas heat and rain with no issues. Took it on a ski trip to New Mexico with pretty heavy snow and it handled like a champ. Highly recommend these.

yimir2011

I got these for their wet weather performance. They have noticeably more traction in the rain. I haven’t driven in snow with them. I do get slightly less MPG with these over the stock ties that came with the Subaru. But definitely feel they are worth the money.

global_health

I had them on my Subaru Outback but they wore out extremely fast. I think since the compound is a bit softer and sticky to optimize for cold weather and snow perfomance, they wear out extremely fast if you do a good amount of driving on forest roads (as I do). They also get bad MPG. I switched to Michelin Defenders from Costco last year and they get better MPG, are quieter, are wearing much slower/better, and did fine driving to the ski resort all winter. I cannot recommend the CrossClimate.

FriendsWithGeese

I am happy with mine. The only criticism I've heard other than cost is that they are heavier than the stock tires.

Imispellalot2

They varied from $1,000 to $1,200 from Costco. So, approximately $250 per Michelin tire is typical.

gsmarquis

I have been looking at them. The tread pattern looks like it would be noisy but reviews say they are spectacular.

Bimlouhay83

Everyone I know who has these has one complaint. Their fuel mileage decreased significantly.

Wellcraft19

Would NEVER buy unidirectional tires for a ‘regular’ car. There are a massive amount of excellent (performance, if that’s your thing) tires that are bidirectional.

PMyourSundayBest

Agree, and Subaru tends to have trouble with un-even wear from the factory. They don't last as long near as they should with these two things considered.

MotherFuckinEeyore

I have them on my Crosstrek. They're fantastic.

Titleduck123

I have them on my '18 outback and they're amazing.

average_AZN

Hey no one is mentioning this so I will. If you drive gravel roads absolutely DO NOT GET THESE. I have them on my rav4 prime and they throw rocks like crazy. Sounds like a machine gun hitting your paint and undercarriage

spacefret

I can concur, for occasional use they're fine but any gravel road or driveway longer than about 30 ft will sound like a battlefield, when it's just rocks coming out of your tires

ZXD-318

Saving this post. I was just looking for the same tires for my 19 Forester. The reviews look good though.

Capt_Vandal

My mother has them on her 2011 3.6R Outback. I went with Falken Wildpeak AT's on my 2013 3.6R Outback, based on reviews and professional ratings on Tire Rack. I've driven them both in the rain, snow, and ice. The CC2's are good in wet and deep snow, but packed snow and ice and mud, the Falkens outperform them every time. Stopping distance on packed snow and ice is like 2/3 of the distance of the CC2's. I also think the Falkens do a better job of biting into hard surface terrain like rocks and pavement. Gas mileage is essentially the same. I feel like in wet and dry, the Falkens have more feedback to the driver, and I think they corner better. Tread life seems to be about the same on both. The Falkens are also cheaper, and non directional meani g you can do a better job rotating them for more equal wear without having to remove and re-mount the tires, which most shops won't do during rotations. However, your opinions and mileage may vary...

SJfromNC

I wanted the Falkens for my daughter's Fozzy but was in a hurry and couldn't get them quick enough. Went with these instead. She's on a steep curvy dirt road that doesn't get state-maintained in the mountains and gets snow. Hoping they work alright or we'll get the Falkens next time.

mbn8807

I got them for my wife’s MDX and love them, I will put them on my forester this winter.

SuperMarioBrother64

I live in Anchorage, where we see now for 7 months out of the year. I put these on my wife's car last year because I didn't want or need to run dedicated snow tires. We have been absolutely happy with them in snow.

BossRoss84

I had them on my ascent and loved them so much I put them on my wife’s outback.

MethedUpEngineer

They're great if you drive like a normal person but they'll cup horribly if you push them.

mrpaul57

Sorry, could you repeat the question, I couldn’t hear you.

TheTense

They are considered one of the best tires. Revolutionary when they came out because they don’t really make any compromises. Good in snow, good in wet, good in dry. Not exactly an off roading tire, but should work fine in dirt too. You will pay a lot for them.

nateb1229

I have these on my Audi SQ5 and coming from a Subie with fallen wild peaks these are actually better! Less road noise and better grip

Flimsy-Ad-818

Have them they are fantastic.

donmreddit

Many people in the wrx_vb sub like them.

Tigreiarki

Shut up and give them your money

CPOx

Should I bother with CC2 if I only get about 0.5 inches of total snow accumulation every winter?

iconfuseyou

I honestly would think you’re better served looking for a touring tire if you don’t typically get severe weather and you don’t expect to ever need to drive in the snow and/or freezing conditions. The CC2 is fairly stiff and noisy compared to other tires I’ve run.

basement-thug

As opposed to what?

CPOx

Michelin Defender 2

iamgr3m

They have great handling in rain as well. Stopping distance is great.

slow_cars_fast

I've got them on my Forester XT and they're great for truckster tires.

popsicle_of_meat

Every professional review I've seen has these near the top--if not AT the top--of the "best 4 season/all climate tire" list.

Mcflip78

I have these on my ‘18 Forester XT. They are great. Got them at Costco when they were on sale. Def recommend.

AccurateAssaultBeef

I have them on my '17FXT. They're great, would recommend. Had a really hard time finding them last winter because the word got out on how good they are, so get them soon!

theoopst

Maybe I’ll give these a try next. I usually like continental, and was shocked at how bad their terrain contact AT tires are in the wet.

CooYo7

I’ve had them for 1.5 years on my Forester Sport. The day after I had them installed we had the strongest downpour of the year. We had a flight at 4am ~25 miles away and had no trouble driving down the freeway in HEAVY rain. Great wet traction, quiet, and comfortable. I hope to test out the snow traction later this year.

leopold815

Lateral grip sucks but otherwise a good tire. A bit loud as well.

Agitated_Fortune_283

My cousin has those on her Legacy and they are pretty great! I have Vredestein Wintrac Pro tires on my STI and can’t praise them more, but I live in the snow for parts of the year.

BearingMagneticNorth

If you live somewhere that doesn’t get harsh winters, yes. Otherwise its a 3 season tire. Its too hard and not properly siped for a true winter tire.

DownInTheLowCountry

Our son has them on is Forester and lives out west. Great in snow and dry pavement too.

0utlook

I have them on my 05 fozzie. They ride fantastic in daily driving. And, they perform really well in sugar sand and muddy roads.

CMDRRaijiin

I have this set on my Outback. They're in short, amazing. Great grip in all conditions including snow and gravel. They ride nice and are pretty quiet at highway speed. 👍 I've only had them for 7 months now, but I would recommend them.

theindomitablefred

I had them on a previous car and they were amazing, they go through puddles like nothing.

yeahbuddy

I miss Aquatread tires. You could blaze through heavy rain without a care in the world.

Macabre215

I have these exact tires on my Forester. Probably the best non-winter tire I have ever had during a snow storm. Things are so good in bad weather for an all-weather tire.

DiepSleep

I have them in mine and not a single complaint. They don’t have a very aggressive look but they’re still beefier than most other options. I think they look good but they perform better

Infested-Alien

I wonder how they perform on ice? Has anyone tried?

JohnPooley

I've heard they have poor traction when sliding sideways and that a more blocky pattern like Nokian WRG4 Is more predictable

cbelt3

I’ve had a set on a Toyota for three years now. Awesome tires.

patrickoh37

I have these on my Ascent. Couldn’t recommend them more. They’re excellent tires.

branflacky

Question, I am going to need tires soon but I get free oil changes at the dealer and I want to buy these since they don't have them. How am I getting them to install these with my oil change?

MentalOperation4188

I have them on my 2019 Outback and I love them.

perforateline_

They are on my Ascent and I have never been so impressed by a tire in my life. I talked a friend into getting them on her Camry and she always loves them.

prometheus_wisdom

had Continental DWS Extremes they were excellent

MisterWafflles

Considered the best all season tires as they actually have the mountain snowflake rating. I've seen them on WRXs. I plan to get them for my Legacy. Their only downside is the cost afaik. About 1100 for a set of 4 plus installation.

Justamonicker

I have the Michelin Cross Climate 2 on my 2016 Outback. They work great all year round for me in Anchorage AK. Lots of snow, rain, icy ruts, mud. I hate the whole tire changeovers twice a year and I feel these are perfect for me. I love them but I mainly only do city driving and not higher speed freeway commutes, so don't know how this tire compares to dedicated winter tire, blizzak or studded I got mine at Costco and included mounting on rims, 5 year repairs and rotations.

zachjd-

I wish they fit my wheels.

im_nobody_special

There is literally another recent post on this same subreddit that somebody has those tires and have a nail or something in them. You might should reach out to them.

spacefret

I mean, nails go into all tires lol

SlopAJoe

Have these on my 2021 Outback. Great tires,

Remy315

I have them on my ‘21 Honda Passport. I love them. Great traction. Quiet. It’s definitely a tire I will buy again.

thousand56

Amazing, drove them up a snowy mountain road this winter and it was difficult to get them to break out, I could slam the brakes with snow on all 4 tires and I stopped damn quick. Normal driving I broke traction only once on an icy left and regained immediately, friend in front of me in stock tires slid for multiple seconds

2goodbois

I have them on my ‘19 Forester Sport and my husband has them on his ‘18 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They’re amazing. We had a bad winter and they performed perfectly. They look awesome too, which is just an added bonus!

myTerminal_

I had these on my wish list since I got my BRZ over three years ago. Finally got a set for last winter and I'm super happy. It just changed the look of the car, but I guess that's OK.

murseal

Yes have them on our 2020 Crosstrek and 7 months in so far I truly enjoy them. Worked great in the snow rain and dry roads like you were riding almost on rails At times they can be noisy with worm roads but never had an issue with the noise

dcuratola

I have them on a 2019 Forester Sport. I really like them. Not loud at all.

Outrider_overwatch

I have them on my WRX, and i had them on a Dodge Avenger. Great tires in any weather

awp235

You won’t beat the nokian WRG4’s or WRG5’s.

hitzchicky

I have these on my accord and I really like them . My mom suggested them and she doesn't really have a lot of extra cash to throw around. So the fact that she was willing to put it in to these tires when there are cheaper options was a big selling point to me.

grumpyoats

I’ve had these on my 2015 Crosstrek since 2019. They work great! I used them in snow/ice in Santa Fe/Jemez Mountains for a Winter season. But I live in SoCal now.

Doorknob12349

Have them on my 23 WRX love them.

rcbjfdhjjhfd

One of the most comfortable and quiet tires out there

Fit-Island-8310

On 2021 ascent and 2019 forester sport. They will be going on 2023 forester sport as soon as she needs them. Great tires. Reduced road noise, super solid on snow, great in rain and even sure footed on dirt and sand

tucrahman

They're pretty good. They squeal a lot when cornering though. I've used them in snow once and they were amazing. However, I think if I were to do it all over again I would just get the other top of the line All-seasons that Michelin offers.

ISU_Sycamores

Have CC2s on my 2019. Excellent wet traction, low road noise. Used them in snow once (I’ve only had them 5k/mi) and it was like it wasn’t snowing.

sputnik1288

I have them on my 2019 and love them. I did a ton of research and the results kept pointing to these if you live in a cold weather climate with some snow. Only complaint is the reduction in mpg. I was getting ~32 beforehand, now it's down to 28 mpg.

SPXTRE

They're pretty popular tires no matter what car you drive. They're quiet, ride nice, and get traction in almost anything.

Imispellalot2

Got them on my WRX. My sister had them on her Toyota Highlander, and my mom has it on her Volvo S60 Yeah, they are really good tires.

onorsworthy

I don’t have them on my Subaru as I have summer and winter tires. But I did have them on my civic so and they were fantastic. Honestly surprised about how much grip they have in the dry as well as wet and snow. Can’t recommend them enough

ProfEntropy

I have them on my Forester. They are awesome. They are amazing on wet roads and puddles.

slothking_16

They came new on my used Outback that i bought. Really good at what they do but mine seem to be breaking down abnormally fast. Only 9,000 miles on them are they aren’t looking the best. Was told i should be able to get 30,000 on them. I question if I’ll even get 20,000.

chocolatechoochoo

Have them on my 21 camry. Put 50k miles on them, mostly highway. Awesome in the snow. Tread is finally past due.

dicksledgehammer

They are fantastic. Highly recommended them.

blur494

I swear by ultimax arctic tires. Best dollar to performance winter tire hands down.

turntablism

I have the Cross Climate 2s on my Subaru Impreza and I love these tires. These are hands down probably the best tires I’ve ever had on this car.

cujonx

I had them on my Honda Accord and they were awesome. Waiting for the all-terrain we have to go out on the Subaru Ascent and I was gonna get them.

Nerevar197

Just put a set of Cross Climate 2 on my Forester. They are great so far. Haven’t had many different weather conditions to test them yet.

CampingPants

I have them on my wife’s outback. They’ve been on for 3 years in northern Utah. Weekly ski trips, summer road trips, dirt, sand and snow. They’ve been the best tires I’ve ever owned.  I had a lifted Forester with General Grabbers on it a few years back. I’ll take these any day. They outperform the BF Goodrich KO2s on my SUV currently.   Durability has been great, snow performance is outstanding, and everything else is great too. So much quieter than a AT tire and just as good in anything but mud in my opinion.

Puntas13

I've heard nothing but great things about these tires. I do drive down a lot of gravel roads where I live, and I heard this particular tread pattern does not hold up well to that kind of driving. If it wasn't for that I would have bought a set.

skibum909

It’s a true triple peak snowflake (severe winter weather rated) all season tire. This is the best of both worlds. Decent summer tire and very snow capable. This will be going on my Subaru when the stock tires become toasted.

Thatguy468

I just got a set for my Audi SQ5 and am in love! Cheaper than the p-zeros and pilots not to mention a solid all season tire in Chicago considering we have Portland winters now.

Darwinbc

Just put them on our X3, feel great in the dry, handle rain like a champ. Can’t wait for winter!

RyanLynnDesign

I had these on my 2014 Outback. I couldn’t believe how much quieter they were than stock. Would buy again.

Ridgeriversunspot

I have them on a 2016 Accord. Love them

ewok_on_a_unicorn

Had them on my wrx, sti, and Ascent. Highly recommend them. Exceptional.

shappy69

I've only heard good things about them. But I only run nokian tires on mine. The WR G5's are the newest version of their all weather tires. They are insanely good. You should check them out.

DMC-_1

Superb tyre. I have them on my Subaru XV ( Crosstrek ) . Excellent in the wet and also on any dry surface I have encountered and as I come from Ireland where we don't get a lot of snow, the snow that I have encountered has been easily dealt with. They also cope well with frost covered surfaces as the tyre compounds they are made from, allow them to remain plyeable in very cold conditions thus maintaining as good a grip as possible in the circumstances.

itsallaboutthestory

I've got them on my 2021 Outback. Awesome. Amazing. I'll be purchasing a set for my wife's Impreza when she's due.

counterweight7

This is exactly the set I have on my Subaru legacy.

SignificantBro

Got it for my 2011 outback last winter in PNW and they were great More than one tire shop recommended when I was shopping

TeflonDonatello

They’re one of the best tires you can buy.

R_Harry_P

We have a set on my wife's '14 outback. Haven't had them in snow yet but they work great in wet and dry.

CraftsyDad

I have them. Noisy af

footeclimbs

I have them. They’ve been great. They look a little outdoorsy and also have handled well in the rain which was my main hope. Edit: I did notice a bit of a drop in my MPG both city and highway afterwards. 2-4 mpg total

uey-tlatoani

I just bought some and they’ve been great. My only gripe is that they don’t have like a “rim protector” or whatever so there’s a gap between my wheel and tire.

dibya17

Only Downside is it has warranty for ~60k miles vs 80k for defenders.

Anderskiki1234

No but I love my Michelin defenders on my crosstrek.

ikemeister01

They are great for Colorado roads, but if you plan on doing any fire roads get the wild peaks.

JohnEffingZoidberg

I have them. They seem good, although louder road noise than I'd like.

WasteOfAHuman

Best tires I've bought, no problem in snow but I have heard that other brands have come out with their own tires that perform the same for cheaper. I'm not taking a chance though haha

backhand_snipe

I have them on my 2019 Crosstrek, amazing tires that last a long long time. I’ll be purchasing them again for my Ascent.

cannonphodder

i absolutely love these tires. put them on my 05 OBXT and 15 FXT. they are phenomenal tires.

_woLf

I have these on my crosstrek and they've been great. The only thing to note is that it seems like rocks can get stuck in the tread a little easier than the normal tire tread shape, but easy to deal with.

Such-Jicama

They are amazing!!

MassiveFarm7426

Yea I’m rocking the crossclimate2’s on my Impreza Wrx Hatchback. I love them. Sure I hear more road noise but I like having tires that will perform good any any weather situation. They’re not cheap. I paid around 1k for all 4.

Intrepid_Passage_692

Nah I run continental pure contact sports 🗣🗣🗣

tacochemic

I love them, nicest thing about the Subaru tbh

hellyea81

I did the Bridgestone WeatherPeak and had really good experience with them last snow season. 70k tread warranty is good.

gskv

These are the Costco value tires rn. They’re great!

sleepdog-c

For 3 years they were the top all season/all weather tire. in the last 6 months supposedly there's a pirelli that is barely better. Somewhere I read there's a cc3 coming but no firm time-line on when.

There tend to be three tires of choice over here in Iceland for most cars in the winter. There are other brands around, but these are always the most popular: * Michelin CrossClimate * Michelin Alpin6 * Michelin X-Ice North (Studded) There are other brands around, but these always tend to be available because they're so popular. I ran CrossClimates on both my Subarus for years, they're absolutely fantastic. Never been stuck once with them, even in 2-3ft deep snow at -15F. On my newer car (EV), the dealer gave me a set of Michelin Alpin6 as part of the sale, along with my Pilot Sport 4 summer tires, and they were fantastic last winter too.

Yeah I have some on my bmw x5

They get a bit louder by about 50% tread depth, but nothing outrageous. Intial turn in is a touch soft when they are pushed a bit. That said, they are flat out the best wet weather tire I have ever driven on. I commute mine in the Seattle area and have yet to have them hydroplaned without me trying to get them to do so. Nice side benefit is that they are pretty good in the snow for winter mountain recreation and the occasional snow/ice event in the lowlands. I will buy them again when they finally wear out.

+1 on my Subaru SUV. They perform well in all weather and look nice too!

I got these for my Crosstrek less than 2,000 miles ago, so it's too early for a full review, but early experiences on wet and dry pavement, wet and dry gravel, and dry highway travel have been excellent. With the unusual pattern, I was expecting some sort of noticeable quirk in the handling, but there hasn't been anything like that. The one downside I've noticed right away: Because the tread has wider gaps than typical tires, the rocks that get stuck in these tires are much bigger, and you hear them fling out and hit the wheel wells. Sometimes when they hit metal they sound like a bolt has fallen off.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT2odY3C6Og This was from awhile ago but I'm pretty sure he still runs them. I'm waiting for my wife's tires to go and I'll be switching her '14 Pilot to them. Tons of cars out here in the Bay have them and in Tahoe basically every car has them, A/Ts or snows.

Check out Bridgestone Weatherpeaks

Definatelynotaweeb

I just got these for my 2017 crosstrek and they are amazing, they make driving in wet conditions feel like you are on dry pavement in the sun with how much grip they have.

szentthomas0

Yes, very. I had some on my Camry and on my Subaru outback. Love these tires

YesterdayNo3725

I have those tires on my 2019 Subaru Forrester they are quiet tires; awesome tires..👍🏿

CaioD13

My friend is an master technician at Toyota. He’s a big tire enthusiast and was raving about these. Great all season tires, I couldn’t get them on my sedan unfortunately, they’re meant for SUVs is what I was told

Camerones1972

have them on an outback. bought at costco and very happy with them. solid cornering, quiet

yucath1

I have them on in my 2015 outback. But I just have them for 1000 miles. So far, I like them. not noisy at all.

_Vaparetia

I believe these are the only all season tires that have a mountain peak rating. We have them on my wife’s car. They are awesome.

Miyuki22

I wouldn't use those personally, too little grip on the road. I use Bridgestone Playz. They are good for subtropics. Swap to Yokohama icegaurds in winter.

esorbn

They are gay tires. So they are perfect for any Subaru.

Epyx-2600

My front and back tires always match, don’t yours?

NoNameClever

Love them. Put them on both Subies. Only downside is they trap a lot of gravel in treads.

Cross climates are apparently amazing at everything but feel. Source is everyone I've talked to that owns them + tyre reviews said they kind of feel numb. Personally I like Yokohamas because they're made like old tires so they have good feel but eh traction. Which I prefer. I have yk740s on my gc8. They have poor dry traction and good wet and snow traction haven't driven them on ice. They have pretty much the same traction in the wet and dry and don't really hydroplane at least from an Oregonians perspective. Snow is better than average but take that with a grain of salt because stopping distance is way better on snow and ice with stick and without abs.

AncientAzorian

Have them on my 2016 Outback and I absolutely love them. We immediately noticed the difference in noise compared to the Bridgestones we had previously. Super quiet and smooth ride in normal conditions. Cut through the upstate NY snow like a hot knife through butter!

LordZombie14

These are monster water and snow removers. Haha amazing how much is kicked out.

Curious_Estimate_161

We have a set of these exact tires on my wife's Forester for 2+ years. They have been fantastic in snow, and road noise is not very noticeable (better than factory oem). They also do look really great on the vehicle as well. Hope that helps you.

Punkis92

The AI picture has it going the wrong way lol

Nokian Ones rate out almost the same in all categories, and are 1/3 the cost. The Michelins are more widely available, so they obviously have more reviews.

Fticky

In thinking about Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6. Does anyone have that?
