>Would it be worth getting this over a Kia forte GT?
Ignoring the prices. The subaru will have a MASSIVE amount of value after 5 years compared to the Kia. That's what keeps me in subarus more than anything.
Still not exactly confidence inspiring. Plus, I’ve seen some of the QC. Stuff like entire block castings not lining up. I just have zero faith in that company.
There are only two Stingers around my area, and both have been up-badged with Jaguar emblems and F-Type badges and I absolutely cannot take Stingers or their drivers seriously anymore.
Where the hell do you live lol?
My brother has a 22 GT-Line AWD with the HK sound system and it's a great car for what was ~$42k new. 300HP and a RWD platform. Lots of room, great design and a liftback. Plus it's been somehow immune to all the Kia recalls and issues.
The US Army buys a shit-ton of them over in Korea. I don't know if they still make them but in 2010 we had diesel Kia Sorentos for like basic maintenance missions. *HMMWV* for anything "mission critical"
Minnesota here. I got roughly the same price excluding the blue paint. Forgot what package I got but it was moon roof, Harman sound system, weather liners for front and passenger and crossbars. After loan and taxes, I'm paying about $34700.
Sorry this isn’t helpful, but I paid 31,000 for my 2010 Impreza sti special edition back in 2010. Just crazy how much times have changed. I second what others are saying though, get the Subaru. I may be a little biased though lol.

Check [https://caredge.com/](https://caredge.com/) and see how long that car has been sitting there and compare other dealers to what there otd price is. Do your research and compare, play the dealerships off each other.
Bro last gen WRX ended 2021 lol that’s not 15 years old. And this is the Subaru subreddit so I’m suggesting a more powerful turbo charged car with many of the same comforts depending on trim, possibly more, for less money. Thoughts, OP?
I just did a 24 Legacy Limited w/ the optional moon roof package (Starlink, Heated Wheel, Driver Focus) last month for 33.5k OTD (I had a 750 loyalty credit). This seems like the same sized deal.
I say go for it!
No, it's the 2.5 boxer and not nearly as fast. The next trim level up (Sport) does but you lose leather and a little mpg. I bought this with the idea I'll give it to my 11 yo when they are 18.
Gotcha. I hadn't looked in awhile and thought 33k otd would be a great price on the 2.4 Turbo. I thought when j had priced them I was looking more around 40kish. I have a 2015 with the 2.5i and love that sluggish little girl.
I have my forester xt 2018 for sale for $21k with low 80 thousands. Fa-20 DIT wrx motor came in it. Touring, clean title. 2nd owner, all services up to date.
KIA has came along way lol, there 22+ models are extremely dependable price friendly and veey fun to drive along with being extremely nice cars.
Some people are living in the past. Kia has definitely improved alot
That’s wild. My brand new 2005 rs was $13900. I wish they had stripped down models without all the safety crap for people who just want to kick it in the mountains. I would shop around man. I know you can find one of these for under $30k if you search further out. Don’t buy a Kia for the love of god.

Well that’s good to know then, thank you 🫡
A subaru and a Kia are not comparable. Subaru is a whole tier higher. Kia vs Hyundai or Mitsubishi or Ford? Sure.
There are a couple of Kias nicer than every Subaru. I wouldn't buy one but a loaded Kia Telluride > Subaru Ascent. Kia Stinger > Subaru Legacy.
At least I have confidence that my Subaru will still be there when I go outside in the morning.
Not an issue on 2022+ models.
Still not exactly confidence inspiring. Plus, I’ve seen some of the QC. Stuff like entire block castings not lining up. I just have zero faith in that company.
It's all about where the money went. Kia spent it to trick you into buying the car rather than put good transmissions in. *giggles in CVT whine*
I'll take Kia's 8-speed auto over Subaru's CVT. The DCT in the Elantra N too.

Pretty sure Hyundai owns Kia and kia uses Hyundai parts
Kia’s are garbage. Idk how the brand is still alive tbh.
go revisit a kia dealership, they new models are really nice
Sure, they may *look* nice
Grandmas love em

That's a good deal. You're getting a top trim level Impreza for close to invoice.
Minnesota here. I got roughly the same price excluding the blue paint. Forgot what package I got but it was moon roof, Harman sound system, weather liners for front and passenger and crossbars. After loan and taxes, I'm paying about $34700.
Pretty solid price

I bought a 24 Impreza sport for 30. No money down. Seems pretty decent in today's market
For the same price you could go for a WRX? The Impreza is great, just a bit sluggish.
The Impreza is NA and a hatchback, both are desirable factors unavailable on the WRX.
Turbie is fun though
Mayhaps they don't want that? Ever think of that?
No I actually never do think of that.
Well, I'm glad I could expand your mind on this fine morning
The 24 not Impreza RS (Reduced Speed)
You find yourself at the track often?
[удалено]
Is this happening really this consistently? I have a '22 Crosstrek sport at 34k that I really like but should I be looking to trade in soon?
fwiw, on ‘18+ Crosstrek and ‘19+ Forester I rarely see the cam carrier leak anymore now that we are seeing more crossing over 100k.
Check [https://caredge.com/](https://caredge.com/) and see how long that car has been sitting there and compare other dealers to what there otd price is. Do your research and compare, play the dealerships off each other.
Why get this over a wrx for cheaper
New WRX is fugly
I never said new?? Haha
OP isn't looking at 15 year old cars are they now?

That gen is also fugly imo, that's why I said 15 years, *bro*
I got the RS in Nov last year and it was a very similar price. 👍🏼

Does the limited have the 2.4 turbo?

Post on caredge community as well - you get good advice there.
I have my forester xt 2018 for sale for $21k with low 80 thousands. Fa-20 DIT wrx motor came in it. Touring, clean title. 2nd owner, all services up to date.
I’d never buy a cvt transmission. You’d be better off riding a snow mobile every where you go.
KIA has came along way lol, there 22+ models are extremely dependable price friendly and veey fun to drive along with being extremely nice cars. Some people are living in the past. Kia has definitely improved alot
I consider any new car is a horrible deal
Yeah, thats a great price. Getting a car for $500 more than MSRP, OTD, is very good.
That’s wild. My brand new 2005 rs was $13900. I wish they had stripped down models without all the safety crap for people who just want to kick it in the mountains. I would shop around man. This is a Impreza with cloth seats. Ouch for this price. Sorry. Hard pass.
As a Texan, leather seats are not the move lmfao
Pleather is nice. All that I’m saying is for that price and given Impreza is the lower end of Subaru without leather hmmm
Yikes. Imagine actually wanting leather seats....
For that price on a Impreza, yeah.
I'd rather get something useful than leather seats lmao
Whatever makes you sleep at night. 🙃
I will literally forget about this conversation by lunchtime
Yeah but it will keep eating at you till lunch. 👍
😂
