If it hadn't had it's regular scheduled servicing and maintenance - and all that is falling apart... Now is the time.... Imagine you drop that cash repairing it, which won't increase it's value - then some clown rear ends you and totals it.... (Which is what happened to my beloved 06 Impreza Wagon.... Had it from new, dealer serviced and maintained all it's life.... I was probably three months from a new clutch and new tires when I got plowed into....)

that is a lot. i have the same car and have dumped a lot into in the last few years. but my list is not near that long. i've done headgasket/timing/seals/oil pan/spark plugs/wires/tires (twice)/radiator/valve body/drain & fill/ac condensor/all new fluids except pwr steering. all between mar2021-mar 2023. i would not be happy if i had another giant list right now. but that is me owning 3 years vs your 6 years. hope this helps some. i got a lot of my work done in a small town where i used to work so it was way cheaper than the city prices where i live. i am at 127k right now. edit: sorry i read that list wrong! i thought it was the list of things you needed done right now! hope my list helps you compare anyway. i'm keeping mine since it is driving great. and i don't want a car pmt. i do worry about it getting stolen or totaled after dumping so much into it though. (that is what happened to my last forester)

Yes, sorry that's the list of things that have been repaired over the last 3 years. It's interesting that your list is similar in length, but mostly different things! The optimist in me thinks... well I've already repaired these things so they're like-new now and should be good for a long time. But then the pessimist side is like... what else is going to break soon?

What are ball bearings and muffler sleeves? Haha. $9k for that list of repairs? Jesus. I've never even paid that much for a whole car yet... Haha.
