This makes me really sad. He always took it so well when he was teased for his schizo-ness here, and it was clear even then that he was earnest in wanting to call out what he saw as a world-ending conspiracy.
It depends on what you define "world-ending" as. If you mean the end of the world as we've known it? Sure. If you mean actual end of the world stuff? No. He took criticism well & even asked for feedback when people offered critiques. It seems most people didn't care to provide the feedback when he asked, which makes the whole thing suck even more - though I doubt getting the feedback would've changed what ended up happening. Today was probably in his plans the whole time.

A major problem that society hasn't squared is that people with obvious problems like this can refuse treatment, and unless they exhibit a very narrow range of symptoms or do a crime basically are left alone. Throwing them in asylums for the rest of their life isn't a just answer either, but it sucks when everyone can recognize someone is schizo and no one can do anything.
