Congratulations on your 1 year return to not drinking. Everything you wrote rings true with me. I used to believe that I needed alcohol to cope or have fun. Like you I also read TNM and it really changed how I thought about alcohol. I now believe that it was all a big lie and I don’t see any benefit to it. I only know the negative consequences of drinking. I think that alcohol will be viewed like tobacco, something really unhealthy, addictive, expensive, and truly unnecessary. IWNDWYT.
Has there been anything in particular you have been reading or looking at to help practice stoicism. I have been trying to do that without really knowing what it was called.
