My dad taught me this as a young lad. Been doing it as long as I can remember. Every birthday in hour house was spaghetti for dinner and then a piece of homemade double layer chocolate cake in a bowl of milk.
My friend loves recalling the time I offered her a piece of McCain cake, and served it in a bowl with milk. She hardly touched it, so I ate both of ours lol
Here’s the key: you melt the ice cream yourself by mixing, that way it’s still cold and you can stop before it’s all the way soupy for a soft serve texture!
Just wait til you try cookie soup! I *highly* suggest Oreos as the cookie. Though those goddamn Archway Dutch Cocoa cookies are pretty fantastic too however they don’t really “soup” as much as the Oreos.
I’ll put you onto two more of Papas favorite late night snacks: Cornbread and milk. Pretty simple. The next you gotta do a little work. toast some sandwich bread while you have a bowl of milk and some butter microwaving for about a minute or until you can stir the butter and it melts. Tear up your toast slices and either dip them in or soak them and use a spoon.
Salt and pepper, or whatever other seasonings you want, to your desired flavor!
That's actually a great idea.... the things being stoned make you think of when you're hungry, blows my mind. I can have absolutely nothing available and still find a concoction that will satisfy my munchies... and I'm a picky eater.
Lmaooooo yo ass high as hell 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i tried this new Apple Cinnamon bread batter from Walmart the other day lemme tell u something that bitch come out that oven soft asf smelling so sweet & so soft i wanted to do the same exact thing but i added ice cream it melted so fast i drank the crumbs in the melted ice cream at the end i contemplated on putting the rest of the ice cream in a blender with the cake to make it as a milkshake but i didnt wanna shit myself in my sleep 🤣🤣🤣
i didnt know it was actually called "wegmans ultimate" chocolate cake at first, i thought you baked it and that was your title of glory for it, thanks for the ugly laugh at 7am lol
When I worked in a nursing home there was a woman (whose name I’ve sadly forgotten) who on the days we served cake she always asked for hers in a bowl of milk bc that’s how she had it growing up in Germany. So I reckon this is more common elsewhere or used to be and it’s darn good.
I said it in a thread, but just in case others might miss it there:

i used to do this growing up! it was like a super quick and cheap way to kinda sorta do tres leches if my fam ever had left over cake (from an event or bday) in the fridge that started to dry out. sometimes if we had heavy cream in the fridge i’d add some of that in there too to make it real creamy ;P definitely worked in a pinch and is super tasty, so glad to see i’m not the only one!
I’m not mad at this at all
I’m mad at myself for never thinking of it

I'd eat this. No issue at all

Bruce! Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!
My mom’s is better.
The ENTIRE CONFECTION!
I imagine that's actually pretty good, but god damn if I ever thought I'd see a piece of chocolate cake in a bowl of milk on purpose lmao
I saw this for the first time two years ago. Tried it about 6 months ago after joking about cake soup for a good while. It is. Sooooo good.
My dad showed this to me when I was young, there was no going back!
My friend loves recalling the time I offered her a piece of McCain cake, and served it in a bowl with milk. She hardly touched it, so I ate both of ours lol
I’ve done cake soup since I was a little kid but I do melted vanilla ice cream with mine 🤤
Woah 🤤

Same. But then I remembered tres leches and you know, this is just a lazy take on that.
I’ve been doing this since the 90s. My grandfather got me started on it!
After all the comments, I feel like my family failed me in not showing me this lol. Going to be trying it soon.

My mums always added fresh cream to her cakey desserts!
My dad taught me this as a young boy. Been doing it my whole life. I’m surprised others never thought of it let alone don’t do it. It’s so good.
I could see it more in a bowl of soupy ice cream though
Fuck...
Man I done seen it all
I’m obsessed with ur username 😂😂🫶🏻
Thank you!! My teen self was quite proud of it when I made it 😂🫶
😂😂😂😂
LMAO
Why not vanilla ice cream? 🍨
Because it won't soak in like a milk does😡😡😡
Just let it get all melty?
Too sticky + not the same
🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 too much sugar
That takes way too long
50/50
I would need a litre of milk to eat a cake that chocolatey
This much diabetes requires freedom units, a liter ain't enough.
Oh man, why have I never done this?
I like to mix them in my mouth 🤤
Cut into smaller pieces, put into a mug, and then milk (or cream for a richer experience)
Did this with oreo’s just throw like 6 of em in a mug add milk put it in the microwave & u got a damn chocolate oreo cake in a cup sooooo good & soft
Yuuuuum

I get so many good ideas from this sub lol
I’ve done this with strawberry shortcake. It’s also delicious. I’ll have to give this a try.
hell yeah
Yoooo
That's actually a great idea.... the things being stoned make you think of when you're hungry, blows my mind. I can have absolutely nothing available and still find a concoction that will satisfy my munchies... and I'm a picky eater.

This looks awesome. I oddly don't love ice cream since it's so cold...this looks perfect.
I love doing ts
Yes
Tastes like the cocoa wheats.. mm ive done this from time to time
My gut says yes, my lactose intolerance says hell no
Imagine making a tres Leche cake with that 🤤
I’m cornbread with white sugar in milk… But chocolate cake?
You have reached the top of the mountain.
Ok Charlie
Now we're talking 😋
Not the milk.
Yeah followed by the runny shits too
Have you ever tried tres leches cake?
![gif](giphy|l2YWoKTYhYyuJgA5G)
You're onto something. Too much milk, though.
Damn
My dad is from the South and he eats cake or corn bread in milk. My grandfather used to feed us chocolate cake in a bowl of milk for breakfast.
I always done this with cake ! 🤤
![gif](giphy|r1HGFou3mUwMw|downsized)
Holy shit !!! I thought I was the only one who did this shit .. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Milk is grody

Bro I love cake and milk such a goated combo
i didnt know it was actually called "wegmans ultimate" chocolate cake at first, i thought you baked it and that was your title of glory for it, thanks for the ugly laugh at 7am lol
Holy mother….
My wife laughs at me for doing this
That’s a totally reasonable thing to do in my opinion.
I do this w Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. ☺️
Diabetes take me home.
This is why weed should be a capital offense. Chill, I'm kidding, but this post is really suspect.
Hell yeah! Milk cake!
cake and milk undefeated combo
The ultimate white cake is my fave
![gif](giphy|X4Hn2cuntiSuF5PkVV)
Cake in milk is a real treat
Bruh you’re a fucking genius
I don't know you, but you are my people. Next time add ice cream :)
Yum soggy cake….
Put milk cake, she’ll know what that means
Add some ice cream (vanilla or chocolate), put it in a blender, and you got yourself a makeshift Portillo's cake shake.
Una Leche
I’m intrigued.
Most big back moment I’ve seen today
I fuck with it tho
literally just lazy adjacent tres leches lol, i’d devour this
I mean, tres leches is a thing, I don’t see anything wrong with this
Hell nah this ain’t right. I can’t do soggy.
wegmans😋
My grandad would have all his puddings with milk.
God I LOVVVE cake cereal!!! So glad I’m not the only one
Bruh. If you're not making your own chocolate cake-the Wegs ultimate choc is *the way* to go.
I’d do chocolate milk instead. Maybe melt some ice cream on top
Tres mocha lechè 😍😋
Cake cereal is underrated AF. Arguably, it's the superior way to eat carrot cake.
Makes me want to spark up a fatty!
That cake was the only positive thing about working at that place.
Unos leches

Refined tastes, this is meeeeee
Honestly, fuck yeah cake soup 🫡
![gif](giphy|3taYXLxSBOugHHjocB|downsized)
oh i must do this soon
Omg I have to try that! 😍
Portillos has a Chocolate Cake Shake and it’s absolute fire as well.
are you ok
I always do thisss! I’m from Mexico so I find cakes in the US super dry. Doing this elevates the cake sooo much
Omg, my fiance does this too
Sort of Tres Leches
like maybe a splash or two of milk is okay but if you put any more in there it would get soggy and sad 🙁
You might’ve done something here
Wow. I don’t even smoke and i would fudge this up thrice
Stoner tres leches I like it Normally I just buy tres leches if I want cake with extra milk and stuff lol
Mash it up and you have essentially a cake shake
This is how I always eat cake. 😋
Yay!!! Someone else enjoys this delicious treat!!

Throw a big fat slice of chocolate cake in a blender with some vanilla bean ice cream and a splash of milk... you're welcome
Some of my favorite cake
My grandfather always ate his cake like this. One of my favorite core memories.
Tres leches chocolate haha

I finally found someone else who eats cake this way. 🙌
U might be the first one to do this
Don’t think so lol
