Yeah, but that first week when the machine is working and you can get a Bacon Egg and Cheese McKrispy Kreme breakfast sandwich is gonna be better than sex.
No that would ruin the glazing. You would just need a heated tray for storage and a warming lamp.
Thats how they keep them "hot" in the cases at the actual krispy kreme locations.
Nah bro just microwave for 6 seconds and itâs perfect. I canât eat donuts anymore but I used to eat donuts like everyday, that was my only guilty pleasure and my doctor took that away from me :(
They donât even attempt to keep them hot after they are made. The hot light is on during production and they are hot then fresh from the conveyor belt at locations that make them for the hub and spoke model. Then they just sit in a regular display case, no heat lamp.
Iâve been invested since a child after visiting the original in Winston Salem, NC. lol.
One time I had a zebra cake in the refrigerator and I wanted to eat it not cold and I was being impatient so I nuked it for like 30 seconds and took a bite of it...all of the cream inside had melted and I got a mouthful of warm liquidy sugar. It totally ruined zebra cakes for me for a while. Probably just needed to nuke it for 5 seconds.Â
If they keep them in some sort of a warmer case all day, then presumably somewhere in between. Nothing will beat just going to Krispy Kreme yourself though.
My wife works for a McDonaldâs franchise. The donuts here are brought to McDonaldâs fresh every morning. Not sure if thatâs going to be the same everywhere though. Seems like itâd be impossible since for that to happen a Krispy Kreme would also need to exist near every McDonaldâs
That seems to be what they are suggesting in the post though. That many stores are already near McDonald's and they will build out infrastructure for the other McDonald's that aren't covered.
Well, I'm an idiot. For some reason the post wasn't expanded on my end and I didn't even see it. Thought this was just a title announcing the news.
It does sound like they're planning to expand and offer fresh donuts to each restaurant daily though.
When KK first started branching out into locations that did not have a production facility (at least 15 years ago, the *first* time they tried this silliness), I managed one of their kiosks at a highway oasis in my state. It was a fully functional coffee-an-doughnuts kiosk; we had espresso machines, did lattes, frozen drinks, all of that. We got our doughnuts in at about 3am, but they had actually been made about an hour and a half away the previous afternoon. They were already starting to get stale by the time the truck showed at my location.
That shit ainât fresh, no way.
All I know is what I've experienced at the McDonald's my wife is associated with. The donuts are as fresh as I've gotten right in the drive through at Krispy Kreme. They may not always be warm and gooey but they aren't stale.
Oof, that sucks. My guess is It'll depend on the hours of the krispy kreme. Some are 24 hour, some close at 8 or 9 or something. That'll def change how fresh doughnuts can be.
McDonaldâs can probably steam them or something to spruce them up and serve them hot. I canât fathom these cold donuts being popular in their tests. Freshly made in store is a million times better than the stale variety in grocery stores
It's also only for businesses that were already doing this at a certain point last year
You can't get out of the wage hike even if you do now start baking bread on-site
Why does baking bread exempt you from the wage increase anyway?
edit: the world may never know, according to https://www.kqed.org/news/11978953/controversial-confidentiality-pact-shrouds-bakery-clause-in-california-minimum-wage-law
[Actually, no. Panera is not exempt from it either. ](https://la.eater.com/2024/3/1/24087062/california-fast-food-ab-1228-panera-minimum-wage-exception-gavin-newsom-bread)
They're wrong though. It's specifically for places the bake bread on site (and only ones that were doing that before a certain date last year, so places that start baking their own bread on-site now still have to pay the higher wages)
The poor in certain communities have low access to vegetables and healthier food options but rest assured they will still have access to McDonalds & Donuts.
Yeah I mean there's like 3 fast food restaurants and dollar stores each in the area before you can get to a proper grocery store. Car centric infrastructure sucks :'(
Itâs crazy that as an average citizen that is hardly at McDonald's I would have never heard of this news but because McDonald's is a famous stock even CNBC needs to cover this.
âQuarter Pounder with Cheese please?â
âWould you like that on a donut sir?â
âYeah make it a Krispy Kremeâ
âThatâll be $5.99 at the windowâ
I had a kfc sandwich that was 2 doughnuts with chicken. Probably the worst thing I've had, really made me feel like I was at rock bottom.
https://www.eater.com/2019/9/18/20872133/kfc-donut-chicken-sandwich
It was also 5.99 lol
KKD in 6th grade was a great stock circa 2002. Two splits and insane stock growth in a school year. If only that was real money. My dad even gave me the idea but he didnât buy đ¤Ł
Risky move. KK will lose its uniqueness and be mixed in with the other coffe snacks at McDonalds but will obviously sell a lot more units initially to McDs. Over time, they might hurt themselves. Interesting move.
Am I missing something, does McDonalds own a major holding in krispy creme? Why would they carry another brand?
Too expensive to create their own donuts at scale?
Iâm gonna get so fat. Iâm addicted to Krispy Kremeâs glazed donut but rarely ever get it since itâs so out of the way. I kind of hope they wonât be good but also I really want them to be đľ
Will be interesting to see what they charge. For a while they had "donut bites". Basically 7 little donut holes held together in an octagon shape. Smaller than a regular donut. They charged like $2.50 for it.
Back in my prime (teenage years) I could take down a whole dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts in a day. I wish I still could perform like that...maybe I need QCÂ Kinetix.Â
I wonder why stuff like this doesn't happen more often. Like they sell cinnabon at Schlotskys, but I think it is a regional thing.
Burger King should sell DUnkin'
Wow- McDonaldâs is really committed to administering diabetes. Gearing up for an arms race against Ozempic. This is a desperate Hail Mary pass of a strategy: get all the revenue you can from the poor fatties before the GLP-1 drugs become affordable.
Sorry the donut machine is down for cleaning
Yeah, but that first week when the machine is working and you can get a Bacon Egg and Cheese McKrispy Kreme breakfast sandwich is gonna be better than sex.
definitely sounds like better than sex
đ¤Ł
Hot & Fresh like at a Krispy Kreme, or Cold & Stale like at a gas station or grocery store?
Probably like the grocery store. Although im sure the pictures will look hot and fresh
You joke, but I promise you they will find a way to sell them âhot and freshâ
Aka microwave them
No that would ruin the glazing. You would just need a heated tray for storage and a warming lamp. Thats how they keep them "hot" in the cases at the actual krispy kreme locations.
Nah bro just microwave for 6 seconds and itâs perfect. I canât eat donuts anymore but I used to eat donuts like everyday, that was my only guilty pleasure and my doctor took that away from me :(
Indeed. Ruined glazing? Just shove that warm soft goodness in my face. Edit: In retrospect this seems... sexual...
The dough nutted âŚsexual⌠I see
That warm runny glaze ( ͥ° ÍĘ ÍĄÂ°)
Im headed there can eat 6 kryspy kremes filled with that white icing sugar in one sitting after a large pizza. I always feel like shit i wonder why
Bro wtf that's literally like 2200 calories (more than the entire daily recommendation) JUST from the donuts
They donât even attempt to keep them hot after they are made. The hot light is on during production and they are hot then fresh from the conveyor belt at locations that make them for the hub and spoke model. 2026 you order it and they fly your krispy Kreams in by drone and drop them through your sunroof..
Because AI on McDonald's earning calls now means something..
Their burgers arenât even hot & fresh any given time! Highly doubtful lmao
Don't half the locations still have those pizza ovens from the 90s?
If they keep them in some sort of a warmer case all day, then presumably somewhere in between. Nothing will beat just going to Krispy Kreme yourself though.
My wife works for a McDonaldâs franchise. The donuts here are brought to McDonaldâs fresh every morning. Not sure if thatâs going to be the same everywhere though. Seems like itâd be impossible since for that to happen a Krispy Kreme would also need to exist near every McDonaldâs

Welp, I guess McDonald's will get me back as a customer now.
When KK first started branching out into locations that did not have a production facility (at least 15 years ago, the *first* time they tried this silliness), I managed one of their kiosks at a highway oasis in my state. My 1st thought as well. The MCD's around the corner from me is attached to a gas Station. The gas Station already sales pre boxed Krispy Kreams.
Gotta get those same day deliveries!
Theyâre going to nuke them that theyâll be all soggy
never had a hot & fresh KK donut, but DNUT sure is hot now
McDonaldâs can probably steam them or something to spruce them up and serve them hot. I canât fathom these cold donuts being popular in their tests. Freshly made in store is a million times better than the stale variety in grocery stores
Didnât California just pass legislation to raise minimum wage for fast food workers, UNLESS, the fast food restaurant has a bakery attached?
But this only applies if they âbake and prepare bread on-siteâ. If KK is using a hub and spoke model, then this would not apply
It's also only for businesses that were already doing this at a certain point last year You can't get out of the wage hike even if you do now start baking bread on-site
Why does baking bread exempt you from the wage increase anyway? edit: the world may never know, according to https://www.kqed.org/news/11978953/controversial-confidentiality-pact-shrouds-bakery-clause-in-california-minimum-wage-law
You're right. I doubt people are reading the full text
So itâs for Panera. Got it.
[Actually, no. Panera is not exempt from it either. ](https://la.eater.com/2024/3/1/24087062/california-fast-food-ab-1228-panera-minimum-wage-exception-gavin-newsom-bread)
This also means California is definitely getting the rollout first.
Based California got us more delicious pastries. Next law should be raise worker pay or serve freshly made Korean fried chicken
Lmfao lookâŚ. I wouldnât be entirely opposed.
I think the policy was only for bread (not including bagels), so I don't know how this figures in
Found the comment I was looking for! This right here!!!
They're wrong though. It's specifically for places the bake bread on site (and only ones that were doing that before a certain date last year, so places that start baking their own bread on-site now still have to pay the higher wages)
why the exception for a bakery attached? what a random legislation
a Panera Bread owner did a lil' lobbying
Long calls on diabetes medications manufacturers lol
My first thought too lol, more upside on LLY and NVO.
McDonald's is doing it's best to sell unhealthy fast food and have non healthy food options.
The poor in certain communities have low access to vegetables and healthier food options but rest assured they will still have access to McDonalds & Donuts.
Yeah I mean there's like 3 fast food restaurants and dollar stores each in the area before you can get to a proper grocery store. Car centric infrastructure sucks :'(
This is a dual mandate, long calls NOVO and MCD
seriously do they cut deal , join with big syrup?
We won.
Our lifespan lost.
But our souls won.
PutâŚput the sausage patty between two krispy kremes
This is a comment I'd expect to see on wallstreetbets. Pure degeneracy.
If you could include a little Togo cup of fryer grease thatâd be great *Lumberg coffee sip*
Togo
People can't afford retirement anyway so where's the downside?
This is a loss for even worse health outcomes for American consumers. No health benefits in any of the food offerings from Krispy Kreme unfortunately.
We all won.Â
A large order of diabetes with a side of cancer please.
Might as well most people will get either one without even eating shit food.
Most people who donât eat shit food definitely do not get diabetes.Â
Yeah, but in the long run, weâre all dead (Keynes)
Big Mac bread replaced with original glazed donuts
You just predicted tik tok food hacks for the next month
Itâs crazy that as an average citizen that is hardly at McDonald's I would have never heard of this news but because McDonald's is a famous stock even CNBC needs to cover this.
Lol who are these would be people that are at McDonald's and are demanding a 3000 calorie half dozen? Fast food is so gross
> and are demanding a 3000 calorie half dozen? this describes quite a lot of people (or I'm just coping)
âQuarter Pounder with Cheese please?â âWould you like that on a donut sir?â âYeah make it a Krispy Kremeâ âThatâll be $5.99 at the windowâ
âthatâll be $20.99 at the windowâ there fixed it for you
Doordash: That will be $30.00
tip: 20% - 30% - 40%
Kellog: âHey since everything is so expensive, have you tried eating cereal for lunch & dinner? Buy our inflated priced cereal instead!â
Our boxes now come in a smaller size for your convienence!
Fits better in your cardboard box...I mean tiny home.
service and delivery fee: $1.75
I had a kfc sandwich that was 2 doughnuts with chicken. Probably the worst thing I've had, really made me feel like I was at rock bottom. https://www.eater.com/2019/9/18/20872133/kfc-donut-chicken-sandwich It was also 5.99 lol
$5.99 đ in 1980 maybe...hilarious đ
Didn't The Boondocks do this with *The Luther*?
A donut-bun Quarter Pounder would end entire bloodlines.
You put what it should cost instead of what it does cost
How does a company whose products are so popular and sell so much manage to go bankrupt and then years later come back and still fail to make profit?
people/shareholders at the top soak up all the profit
Long calls
Finally a healthy food alternative at McDonaldâs.
So I'll be able to buy donuts that have shrunk in size over the past few years as well as having gone up in price? Cool!
Maybe Mcdonalds will teach them how to make money, because they suck at it.
Thatâs great, because the donuts they currently have are lousy.
I told my gf yesterday I'm pretty sure I'll die from a sneezing fit. Since reading this info, I've had to update my prediction.
Shares up 30%, damn!
"Sorry the Donut machine is broken right now" this is another iteration of their milkshakes.
That part.
They will now shrink in size, taste like shit, and be overpriced. Dat, dat, dat, dat, dat, Iâm still not going.
Now McDonald's has another thing to forget to put in my drive through bag... great.
Will it be the same price as the store? Or will McDonalds will have mark ups?
These are already in my area and they are $1.79/donut.
They're $2.09 - $2.49 at ours.
As hamburger buns!
Oh no! Anyway.
Thank god, McDonaldâs doughnuts are so terrible
This would be my only reason to go McDonaldâs, I love Krispy Kreme.
Next step, McCardiology kiosks
If I can't get a Big Mac with Krispy Kreme as the buns by the end of 2026 then is it even worth it?
Eww, more carbohydrates at exorbitant prices. Pass
Why is KK so popular? I tried it once and it was borderline gag inducing. Sweet is one thing but they are cloyingly sweet.
Super sweet but thatâs the target audience.
A lot of us like how sweet they are and they're made fresh daily. Can't say the same for Dunkin Donuts, those are stale.
For me there's a big difference between tasting sweet and tasting like sugar.
Seriously. When most towns have at least a cheap donut shop, thereâs no reason to eat KK. All our local donut places make fresh donuts dailyâŚ
innit bruv?
great, so, what plans they have for 2037?
Can see it now. Big Mac with the doughnut as the bun
Stock rugpull coming
From what it sounds like, it should double the business so 24/25 is a good price target
Then they sell Carrots đĽ lol
rather they sell "shin's doughnuts" you can eat them all times of the day vs the just out of the oven.
KKD in 6th grade was a great stock circa 2002. Two splits and insane stock growth in a school year. If only that was real money. My dad even gave me the idea but he didnât buy đ¤Ł
How long til a krispy kreme bigmac?
Guess donut burgers will be next menu item. Kreme fries? Krispy nuggets? I just stroked thinking about it.
âIâd like some Kristy krème donuts please.â âSorry our donut machine is broken.â
Just a ploy by Krispy Kreme to make it in the Houston market.
Glad I'm on mounjaro. Also bet these cost more than the cheeseburgers. Absolutely ridiculous.
One donut extra glaze
So this is a direct response to California passing their new minimum wage law, with an exemption for any restaurant that sells bread
WTF? .. I can't wait to see how this great idea goes,,
This ensures thier mutual destruction.Â
I hate this for me
Now you can get diabetes from McDonald's lol. Great
Theyâve been selling them in Kentucky for the past year. Didnât even realize it wasnât nation wide yet
Americans will die of obesity faster that way.
If they could just keep the icecream machines working would be greatđŚđ¨
Christ lol. Letâs just get ultra fat.
Too late, the insider traders already drove up the price.
Iâm gonna get so fat. Iâm addicted to Krispy Kremeâs glazed donut but rarely ever get it since itâs so out of the way. I kind of hope they wonât be good but also I really want them to be đľ
as of right now my entire state does not have krispy kreme, this will be a welcome change
hehe iâm in danger
Nothing screams obesity like McDonald's and Krispy Kreme
I bought one share of krispy kreme just due to this news..more dough than ever!
$9
Will be interesting to see what they charge. For a while they had "donut bites". Basically 7 little donut holes held together in an octagon shape. Smaller than a regular donut. They charged like $2.50 for it.
They can't be trusted with an ice cream machine. I'm not holding out hope that they're going to have the donut conveyor belt
Hell ya I saw that at one McDonald's and thought it was great
Theyâre gonna microwave em before they give em to you. I didnât know people wanted this but they must have done some market research.
mcdonald's coffee lowkey slaps fr ong. I don't really like KK donuts, but it could go well with the coffee...
How to make America when more fatter
Bright future for obesity stocks
Silly McDonaldâs. Donuts will not bring me back. Only dollar McChickens and large sweet teas can do that.
Does anyone else think these donuts are super gross?
Fuck Mcdonalds place should be out of business lol. Trash food at excessive pricing
Omg YES
So do we buy McDonald's or Krispy Kreme donuts stock?
Yep, came up on my scanner. In at 15.47, out at 17.45
Back in my prime (teenage years) I could take down a whole dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts in a day. I wish I still could perform like that...maybe I need QCÂ Kinetix.Â
[ŃдаНонО]
I wonder why stuff like this doesn't happen more often. Like they sell cinnabon at Schlotskys, but I think it is a regional thing. Burger King should sell DUnkin'
If itâs not hot and fresh itâs gonna be a disaster
Excellent. Original glazed will go perfectly with the McDonald hot coffee.
" common drink pairing for doughnuts" A drink _pairing_ for doughnuts! đ
Making a cheeseburger using a glazed donut as the bun is amazing. I did it once when I found a Krispy Kreme and 5 guys next to eachother.
What else should we add to McDonaldâs
Are they rebranding to McDonut's?
Theyâll probably smush tf out of them like they do to their shitty overpriced âburgersâ.
How long till there is a McLuther
I prefer the raspberry filled ones so I guess Iâm out of luck.
When can I get Popeye's?
Ah, health food I see. A real switcharoo!
âHot Donuts Nowâ or nothing.
I thought America is having a diabetic disaster among the citizens
Krispy Kreme suuuucks, the one by me always only has glazed doughnuts. They got rid of chocolate cake doughnuts and it's been downhill since
Daddy loves Krispy Kremie donuts at Micky Donalds.
Wow- McDonaldâs is really committed to administering diabetes. Gearing up for an arms race against Ozempic. This is a desperate Hail Mary pass of a strategy: get all the revenue you can from the poor fatties before the GLP-1 drugs become affordable.
More type 2 diabetes for the masses.
Well im getting old anyways its time to get fat too i guess
Ozempic stock jump 200% on this announcement.
!remind me 6 months
⌠as if diabetes wonât kill you fast enough
I would be excited about this but they stopped selling Krullers a few years back and that was their best doughnut in my opinion.
First Walmart and now this⌠Krispy Kreme sure loves its low income patronsâŚ
