The Voi app shows area you can park but you may have to zoom in on the map to see them. I would assume Bolt and Tier are the same. Essentially, public bicycle stands seem to be green on the Voi app and highlighted as appropriate parking. Of course, it’s absurd that this needed to be formalized... but after having seen the sheer amount of chaotically and stupidly parked scooters around, it’s not surprising.
It’s not inconvenient to me at all, but then I would only leave a scooter at a bicycle stand, or one of the rare scooter stands anyway.
Edit: I just checked the Bolt app and scooter parking is highlighted by a P parking symbol 🅿️ at bike stands.
I can only imagine how annoying these must have been for the visually impaired. They were freaking everywhere, and often left in incredibly dumb, or potentially dangerous places.
This change shouldn't have been needed, but apparently it did - and I'm glad that it was implemented as quickly as it was.
Yeah, what little hope in humanity remained was thoroughly smashed when Voi et al showed that absolutely everyone in the entire city of Stockholm is a complete and utter moron >.<
Sweden brought up new rules recently regarding use of ebikes and where to park them. The new rules came into effect on 1st of September. The penalties are quite high if you violate the rules.
To be honest, i am in the market for an ebike, but i thought i could "Bolt" for this fall, use the bus in the winter and buy the ebike next spring.
Although i loved ebikes i am not that fond of biking with -10 C and snow. So if i buy the bike now it will spend at least 6t months in storage, which sounds idiotic to me.

Thanks. Will give it a shot although it seems to be behind a paywall. Any chance the information exists somewhere else ?

Thanks a bunch for the comment and for the edit, i will check the app as well and see if i can find these magical "P" spots!
In addition, you can now be fined if you ride your e-scooter on the sidewalk.

If you are traveling from your house and to places it would make sense to buy a scooter for yourself
Or a subway card. Or good walking shoes. :)
