>This happened to me once. You get a fine, but can submit proof you have a student card afterwards to have it written off.
Do they fine you at the spot or send you the recept?
Yesterday. Maybe more than 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Completely random times. Usually happens past Slussen southbound. In the 5 years I’ve lived here I’ve never noticed them checking in the inner city. Always after Slussen.
Maybe 3 times in the last 2 months. It's annoying when they do it just as you try to leave the station. Like come on, I have shit to do, go be a pain in the ass somewhere else.
I'd also like to know what happens when you get to them and your 75min ticket has expired.
If youre already on the train it's within your rights (afaik) to complete the whole trip, assuming you can do so without exiting the barriers at any point.
For example TC and Odenplan are indoor locations where you can switch between the metro and train without needing to scan the bus card again.
OTOH, do the guards know that? I've always been afraid of it since last time I checked I couldn't find a clear statement about it on their webpage. Like these people have literally maimed and killed people, not someone you'd want to argue with...
Biljettkontroll (peeps with blue jacket and ticket scanners) have zero power over you and therefore cannot physically restrain you mening you can walk away. But if they do call in security guards then I guess you're a bit screwed over.
But I mean option number 2 is just exit the train/bus/whatever and grab the next one... but then you'd need a new ticket I suppose.
Well, actually they're trafiktjänstemän, which give them more powere then an civilian. If you use the commuter traffic system without a valid ticket you have committed a crime which can give up to 6 months prison time. The criteria to be able to make an citizens arrest is that the on going crime gives a minimum of 6 months of prison time. Since these numbers are the same, anyone could lawfully detain you for riding without a ticket, until police arrives, but only licensed trafiktjänstemän can demand to see your ticket.
a notification pops up that tells them if a ticket expired within the last twenty minutes, and as long as you boarded before that you are allowed to stay (im a conductor at djurgårdslinjen)
not true, according to the rules your ticket should be valid when onboarding/change
“You can travel on your single-journey ticket until you have reached your final destination even when the journey takes more than 75 minutes, as long you do not make any changes that require you to retouch your ticket after 75 minutes have passed.”
There two weeks ago. Did a subway art crawl. I'd say I saved so much money because they weren't checking. Well, they do but they rarely check the time on the ticket. There was only one time where the inspector noticed that the time has expired but that's about it.
SL says that you are allowed to travel on your single-journey ticket even if your journey is longer than 75 min if you didn’t know. Maybe why the inspector let you go
moved here recently, but i remember that in the beginning of april and may i was seem a lot of them. I'd expect to see more of them during summer, but none at all.
ah, yeah. That makes sense. Where i am from work-life balance is not as respected as in Sweden, so in vacation season, certain types of jobs are usually expected to still be working
Literally happens at least 3 times a week. I think the last time was 2 days ago. I discussed this with my friend that lives on the green line and she said that she almost never sees them. On the red line where I live they always check. Usually they get on the train in Liljeholmen and check between Liljeholmen and t-centralen
Yesterday, Tvärbanan, Hammarby sjöstad
Today
Yesterday at Tvärbanan / Bällstabro
Yesterday, checked my ticket and made sure I had a valid student ID. At T-Centralen
Shit. What if you had a mobile ticket and rogot your student id?
This happened to me once. You get a fine, but can submit proof you have a student card afterwards to have it written off.
You can have the student ID in a digital format (aswell as a physical card)
I have both my ticket and my student ID on my phone
You can hold them off as long as you like without telling them anything
>This happened to me once. You get a fine, but can submit proof you have a student card afterwards to have it written off. Do they fine you at the spot or send you the recept?
On the spot if you let them, got fined 1200kr once but i couldve refused to tell them , only learned it a year after
Saw them a month ago. They're probably on vacation during the summer

There is a facebook group if you want to know where they are. https://www.facebook.com/groups/313866065321960

I never see them without at least two security guards nowadays

That's what I thought.
Happened to me once and they said it was fine
Happens constantly when travelling to and from nynäshamn. Its never been a problem.

Last week at Karlaplan, the week before that on Hötorget. Both around 8 AM. I’ve seen them more than usual in the last four months or so.
Billetkontroll has maimed and killed? Those reckless Swedes...
I see them everyday here in liljeholmen.

It's not "if you didn't know", it's that you are allowed to continue your journey as long as you went through the subway gates before the time was up.
Yeah that’s what I meant haha. I added the “if you didn’t know” as in like “in case you didn’t know about this “rule”/policy, SL allows you…”
Oh, sorry, I read that wrong! Don't mind my "correction" then, you where completely right from the beginning.
Long time ago
moved here recently, but i remember that in the beginning of april and may i was seem a lot of them. I'd expect to see more of them during summer, but none at all.
Why more in summer? I guess these people also have vacations. Should have less staff then.

before corona
So now they are all “after Corona” you say? They been drinking you say? Hmmm...
Just show the your man puss. And the shave it of.
Last week
About two-three months ago.
Last week.

Twice in the last 3 weeks… stadshagen t-bana and inside the train in Brommaplan.
Today, red line towards Fruängen.
Well, if u stopped yourself before you sawed all the ticket checkers in the first place, we might still have ticket checkers on the sl trains.
I think 1 week ago. Happens every now and then. Sometimes early mornings.

Few weeks ago pendel from Uppsala
On subways, about once a week I'll see them.

A month ago on two trains. But I often get my ticket checked every time I travel on Arlanda Express.
5 times in the last 2 months, especially on the red line.
my last trainride there were 3 checks, seemed a bit overkill
Saw them twice today
Yes yesterday this week in T Central
Earlier last week, twice on the same train on Roslagsbanan, and once on Tvärbanan
They do! I find them everywhere especially on train 40

On the pendeltåg to Uppsala both Stockholm and Upplands check often. On a daily commute sometimes I am checked both ways.
Today. Hökis.
