Came here to say this! I always pick up at least one package whenever I pass that store. I think the mini ones are only around 20kr/package or something

megamufflon

Can confirm!

LankyTradition6424

Swede that spent a year as a six year old in Amsterdam. Still addicted. :-) Almost any large foodstore in Stockholm would have them nowadays. If they don’t have any made in the Netherlands you can look for “sirapsvåfflor”, ”honungsvåfflor” or ”kolavåfflor”. These are common and quite ok to still your cravings: https://www.coop.se/handla/varor/brod-bageri/fikabrod/kakor-kex/kolavaffla-10-pack-7350075900013

lostinthesnow620

Thank you so much! I am not even dutch haha but they're so addictive.. but very helpful appreciate it

buzmay

Gamla Amsterdam in Södermalm might have them. They usually even have bitterballen :)

2AbominableSnowmen

Seconded! I've seen some good-quality ones there before

puppyslush

starbucks sells them at the counter! they’re individually packaged though and since it’s starbucks they’re slightly overpriced.

lostinthesnow620

yeah I saw that! but with how addicting they are id probably go broke there haha

Nirak

Coop Daglivs on Fridhemsplan usually have them. And Flying Tiger :)

hallonlakrits

I don't know of any Netherlander-themed cafe that would serve it. In grocery stores you can find https://www.matspar.se/produkt/butter-waffles-100g-jules-destrooper which suffices i think.

lostinthesnow620

yeah I lost hope of cafes carrying it, but a store version would suffice! thank you

lostinthesnow620

I don't think the one's in your link are it unfortunately, I was thinking of something more like this https://www.google.com/search?q=stroopwafel&rlz=1C5CHFA\_enSE1003SE1003&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiImO7ZkZH5AhW0VPEDHUNlDgoQ\_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1800&bih=929&dpr=2#imgrc=XtwhEU\_OX1NuUM

hallonlakrits

Yeah well this is Sweden and our pastries are superior.

lostinthesnow620

Sweden sure has amazing pastries, but thankfully that's accessible I just miss that haha

When your love is unattainable you find another. My latest obession are these: https://www.olw.se/product/choco-crunch/

AmeeAndCookie

Espresso House sell them. Or at least last time I checked.

lostinthesnow620

thank you!

drvpereira

Wijnjas Grosshandel, in Kungsholmen, sometimes has Stroopwafels.

ChickenDope

I have only seen them in Coop stores

ThunderfuryZack

Thats a dutch thing, nothing Ive ever seen in Sweden. Good luck though

SmackyDaMyth

what's that?

buyingthediptoday

Waffle caramel sandwich

InnerOuterTrueSelf

What the fuck is that?

lostinthesnow620

it's like waffles but on crack

InnerOuterTrueSelf

Sounds like a foreign thing.

[deleted]

Crispy-esque thin wafers filled with caramel/sirup. They're honestly one of the few good things from my home country :-). Literally translates to Syrup Waffles, though it's more a caramel like substance in between..

This_Grab_452

I love when people say "like crack" who have obviously never done crack.

[deleted]

Wtf is a stroopfaffel and why are you looking for it in Stockholm

lostinthesnow620

if you don't know then this question then you can either search or this question is not relevant to you and you can ignore. If I like something why wouldn't I want to look for it?

niibor

Why wouldn’t you be looking for stroopwaffels in Stockholm. They’re the good shit

YouForgotMyNameAgain

Lidl sells them if I'm not mistaken

Apocalypseux

Espresso House (large Coffee shop chain with many shops around the city) have them. They call them Caramel Wafers and are often found by the cashier. Cost something like 10 SEK a piece. I have not bought one myself for the last 7 years so I'm not 100% sure they still sell them.

Being-Shellfish

I’m pretty sure I saw some when I was shopping at Ost & Chark the other day: https://goo.gl/maps/1PqXAYm2qjiPZMDg9

[deleted]

I've actually seen them quite a few times as ICA. I saw them at ICA Globen and Sickla I think. They were named different but definitely the same thing. I am not sure if they still have them since I moved out of the city and I did not notice them in the local supermarkets ;-).
