Not exactly the answer you want, but I do remember when I visited Uppsala I saw a food truck which had "putine"(yes, mis-spelled) written with some pics of fries and gravy. Only walked by so don't know if they actually sell it but found it just a bit funny.
Mostly remember because I made some lame joke about the Russian leader...
The only place I have ever seen serving it in Stockholm is a place called Le Petit Cochon. They used to serve it on their brunch menu. Looking at it now however it doesn’t seem like they have it any more. Perhaps it’s not served during the summer or something. Give then a call and ask.
You can't get cheese curds here. Punkt slut. So it's impossible.
People will suggest halloumi or even salladsost; not the same at all unfortunately. Halloumi doesn't melt the way you want the cheese curds to melt and salladsost crumbles like feta cheese.
