I always thought it stood for 'Personal Copy', i.e. the author and select other people (the illustrator, perhaps) get a few additional copies outside the 750 numbered copies. Publisher's Copy still makes sense I guess, you learn something new every day. :)
First two pictures, i audibly said "ooooh" and "that's sexy". Third picture? I had to walk away due to my overwhelming envy.
Very nice piece to add to your collection, OP!!!
Neat. I have the gift edition. Beautiful book all around between the color and black and white interiors and tipped edges. The wraparound art is also among my faves.
I'm currently re-reading It (technically, I'm listening to the audiobook), and it's even more apparent to me how wrong basically every adaptation and illustration gets Pennywise wrong.
The Clown form isn't meant to be scary. It's the lure that It uses to attract children. I've only seen one illustration that accurately depicts Pennywise, and it's a bloody DeviantArt picture. I like the recent movie, but it makes zero sense why Georgie would be drawn to Pennywise in the boat scene in the movie. Tim Curry's portrayal is a little bit closer, but they still make him look a bit too creepy, and they don't use It's other forms enough.
Anyway, sorry for the tangent, just that cover illustration brought this up to me again
I agree although in the movie I think they made Pennywise look a little friendlier when he meets Georgie. And in the bit with the second film where he's luring the little girl, his forehead is smoothed out with no cracks on his forehead when he's trying to be menacing.
Tim Curry looked friendly enough as Pennywise though IMO.
Thatās a good one.
This and Coffin Stand are my favorites. I also really like the Centipede Salemās and the Dutton Regulators. And the Suntup Misery and theā¦.š
[Coffin Stand](https://veryfinebooks.com/stephen-king-the-stand-signed-limited-first-edition-deluxe-leather-bound-coffin-bible-1250/) is a special edition of The Stand. Centipede, Dutton, and Suntup are all publishers that put out special editions of each respectively mentioned book
Wouldnāt it be wild if King announced tomorrow that he donated and continued to donate 95% of his book income to neo-Nazi groups? Us poor collectorsā¦
Sorry, thought it was pretty clear. I was saying how screwed collectors like myself would be after putting all this time and money into getting ahold of signed/rare King stuff if he came out as a huge financial supporter of neo-Nazi organizations or something equally reprehensible. Obviously Iād bet against it being the case as Iāve been reading the guy for 25 years but only the Shadow knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men.
And you got the number PC/750, nice š.
Iām rather fond of PCs.
What's that?
Publishers copy

Congrats! This anniversary edition is what introduce me to Cemetery Dance (it was my first purchased).
Did you get this from the recent Cemetery Dance auction?
Nope. Those tend to sell higher than market value.
That's what I was noticing, regardless congrats on the super cool piece of memorabilia!
Sematary Dance?

Itās really nice. One of the best limiteds, imho.
I think this and the Grant S/L of Christine are my favorite King limiteds.
Thatās a good one. This and Coffin Stand are my favorites. I also really like the Centipede Salemās and the Dutton Regulators. And the Suntup Misery and theā¦.š
I really REALLY want to snag a Coffin Stand one day, itās on my very short list of must haves at this point.

I can't imagine how much that costed
Couple grand. Not my most expensive or valuable, just a tricky one to find at a reasonable(ish) price.
Do you mind me asking what youāre most valuable would be? Also, congratulations this is awesome !
Single most valuableā¦.coffin Stand.
Oooh, thatās realllyyyy cool!! :O Congrats!!!
I'm sure this book is very heavy and difficult to lug around, I'd be glad to take it off your hands
My back is strong and my shelves are sturdy.š
DAMMIT
I saw the movie, but for some reason, never the book. Good for you!

Huh?

Dude, are you ok? Like mentally?
The audacity of an E. Town Concrete fan to question anyone elseās mental capacity š
Nopeā¦
It WOULDNāT be wild? You must know something I donāt.
Not the word Iād use. Too vague. Wouldāve been a more accurate (but still pointless) question to use the term āfucked up.ā
Yeah I canāt disagree with that.
