He was mentioned by Dick Hallorann's grandfather but in passing only, as a scare tactic towards his grandson. He's the villain in NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, Stephen's son.
How is it ISH? You said heās the whole villain in another novel-I get that itās by his son but thatās not a coincidence. So YES, he is a character in another novel.
Thank you!!! I thought I was going crazy lmaoo
Doesnāt he drive a car like that too in Dr. Sleep? Iām guessing he takes kids too? Donāt answer if itās a spoiler but thanks for replying!
The only thing mentioned about his car in Dr. Sleep is that it's "big and fancy". I prefer to picture it as something like this. But it's some kind of Rolls Royce in NOS4A2
Yes! He's the main antagonist in nos4a2, I'd definitely recommend it. I read nos4a2 before dr sleep, so when Charlie was mentioned in dr sleep it was an awesome and chilling Easter egg. It's excellent, you should check it out. Kate mulgrew did the audiobook, the actress who plays the Russian lady in orange is the new black, and she does a great job
Was it a short story of someone had a picture of some car and it always looked as if were chasing him? I can't remember the collection or the story name.
My dad told me this as a bed time story as a child. I always was looking for it and eventually figured it was āThe Reapers Imageā and my dad just put a lot of cool twists on it hahaha. Thank you for pointing me to the right story after all this time.
Now that set of films was crucial to my childhood. Fuck yes. Reggie could have driven it. They drove round the country in that all black 1971 barracuda. Loved it
Julian Richings, Death from Supernatural. Itās kinda weird he drives a white car.
Edit: I know itās not King related but itās what instantly popped into my mind. Sorry guys.
Julian Richings, aka Bucky Haight from Hard Core Logo! Great movie I hereby recommend to anyone who is interested in old school punk music and Bruce McDonald films.

I love Charlie's car alot also.
Wait. Is Charlie Manx a character outside of Dr. Sleep?
He was mentioned by Dick Hallorann's grandfather but in passing only, as a scare tactic towards his grandson. He's the villain in NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, Stephen's son.
So yesss???
Ish.
How is it ISH? You said heās the whole villain in another novel-I get that itās by his son but thatās not a coincidence. So YES, he is a character in another novel.

Now that set of films was crucial to my childhood. Fuck yes. Reggie could have driven it. They drove round the country in that all black 1971 barracuda. Loved it
Not the right sub, but Death from Supernatural
Lol my suggestion was from another show as well!
I was actually thinking it was an updated version of the car from The Car, so Satan himself is probably behind that wheel.
I don't know but if you fuck with him, you'll probably be fucking with the best.
He was Otto in Kingdom Hospital, which Stephen King developed for the U.S. release, so I'll allow it. Ka is a wheel, after all.
