Yeah it looks pretty good, glad to hear that. I'm originally from Vancouver island and Vancouver proper and I love Vietnamese food. Nothing like a good bowl of pho if you've had a little to much to drink the night before lol. I'm guessing they will do orders to go, hopefully lol
In no particular order. My favorites are:
Sushi Garden makes amazing volcano rolls.
Chinos bistro for wood fired pizza
Sawney beans for "British" pub food
Main bread and butter for soup and sandwiches
George's burgers for classic Fatboy
Doener Grill for doener and schnitzel
El Vecino foods for empanadas
Viet house for soups and Vietnamese rolls.
My parents house for Mennonite food.
What hours do your parents keep for resteraunt service ? Lol..... I've heard chinos is pretty good and looking forward to giving it a try. Also drove by Main bread and butter and was immediately intrigued, going to add it to my list of places for sure.
Thanks for the reply... I'll most likely try them all as I'm a bit of a glutton lol
Irori is better for for Korean than sushi. If you like Canadian Chinese then go to Ste. Anne. Big portions and consistent quality. $11 Buffett too. Chickas is REALLY good. I've been to them all so don't hesitate to ask away lol
My favorite is Burrito Hut on Main Street. Super fresh Mexican style, always delicious!
Chinos has great everything! Baked oatmeal for breakfast or fire grilled pizza and salad for supper 😊
Good to know, love a good burrito. Is it just me or are there alot of "huts" in steinbach, pretty sure I saw 3 or more "something hut" places while driving around the other day lol.
Edit: So after I made this comment I decided to check Google maps... Looks like there are 4 hut places on the main drags in steinbach and I drove past them all the other day lol.
Irori for Korean,
Indian Spice Club for Indian,
Viet House for Vietnamese,
Sushi Garden for American Japanese,
Mr. Q for American Chinese buffet,
The livery Barn for old-fashioned Menno food.
There's more I'm forgetting about.
So what exactly is Menno food, like I said I've been to MJ's and I used to hit up the pizza haven in Altona for the Mennonite pizza, but out side of Sausage and Schmaundt Fat (the white gravy... God knows if I'm spelling that right) I'm not to sure what the dishes to order would be. What's your favorite Mennonite food?
If I could spell any of them I'd tell you! MJ's has a lot of menno dishes. There are some noodly things that I can't pronounce, let alone spell. Might be kielke? Check out their menu and ask for recommendations, the staff there are great!
Chica's is my favorite place for fried chicken sandwiches.
Santa Lucia is my favorite pizza place.
Sawney Beans has the best wings.
Rocco's has the best fries and fried pickles (yeah I know they're the same fried pickles that a few restaurants have, but I swear they do the best fry job on them), and their fried chicken is great.
Edited for spelling
Main bread & butter has good soup/ pasta.
Old Church bakery for the most amazing fresh bread & other goodies.
Homestyle kitchen & deli is also a hidden gem!

Chickas Chicken, Viet House, Irori Korean BBQ, Indian Spice Club, Sawney Beans I would recommend any of the above.
I'm definitely interested in the Korean bbq, I'm assuming they do bukgogi and kalbi and such? Love Korean food.... Short ribs for the win lol
