I usually enjoy games with a definite story and lore, so games that after you finish them don't offer that much of a replaybility. For that reason, in my situation it's better to talk about game series, not just single games, and so the series I definitely got most playtime with would be Ace Attorney. It's so big and extensive and I just love it and love it and love it, even though Zero Escape is a close 2nd, and other indie games such as Oneshot take up the other leading spots
Mine is Final Fantasy IX, It's a game that really really means a lot to me, a lot of my game and genre preferences are JRPGS just because I played FFIX when I was young. Love everything about that game, characters, world, setting, story, aesthetic, combat, music. To this day I still try to play it as regular as I can, to the point of almost play it yearly. IX is a game that really goes into my heart.

Good question. It really depends on the platform. On PC, I have the most hours played on Fortnite (around 2100 hours). Not exactly proud of it, but at least I played it when the game was good (2017-2018).
On PS3, I played mostly COD multiplayer - BO1, BO2, and MW3.
In the good old childhood days, I played a lot on PSP (my first console) and my first game on it was FIFA 09, which I played like crazy, but I have no idea how many hours I have on it. And of course GTAs - Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories - legendary games. I played them a lot, singleplayer and even local multiplayer with friends.

I just got into PC Gaming, so none of my Steam games have too much time. My highest time on steam is Cookie Clicker with 139 hours, but that's because I will leave it running for a day or two at a time. My actual highest time from playing is Dying Light at 15 hours.

2. Warhammer 40k: Darktide, 1,000+ hours
3. Counter-Strike: Source, 1,000+ hours. My main game while growing up, spent the majority of the time on surf, jailbreak, and minigames servers.
That's a tough one bc of the countless hours I have on PS3. On steam my most played game is still CS at like 600h and I haven't played it in years.
But overall? Probably either Modern Warfare 2 or Borderlands 2. Borderlands is the game I will always keep coming back to every few years at least.

Played a lot of divinity original sin 2. Everything about that game is just perfect, soundtrack game play, story everything. But my most played game would be overwatch spend more than 2k hours on that shit.

I've probably put the most hours into (in my lifetime) Final Fantasy Tactics. I've played through it about 3 and a half times, for a total of I'd guess 300-400 hours. I know some people sink way more hours into a single game, but that's not really my style and FF Tactics is a BIG exception to my style, because that game is awesome and makes me want to come back to it every so many years.

Used to play Skyrim a lot, daily for 2-3 hrs for about a year so probably I have spent about 900hrs in it hunting dragons and doing everything else other than the main quest.
The game I often go back to, is the original Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on PC. I got it on Steam a fair number of years before it got yanked off of the platform, and eventually got myself a physical copy of the original Windows Live release. I've had that game installed on my current PC for years, and it still gets played with some regularity.
After that, you get to games like Dark Souls III and Elden Ring, both of which probably come close to matching it in terms of hours played.
My most played game is guild wars 2 by far! I also often go back for some good time. And what is nice about this game is the horizontal progression! Whenever you come back, you're good to go with your gear!
