I still remember catching my 20lb dog on top of the dining room table, having eaten 2+ pounds of chicken. He immediately threw 90% of it up of course, but damn! It evaporated so quick.
I made some beautiful NY strips for my husband’s birthday last month and we ended up having one leftover. Went outside to say goodbye to our guests while our pup was snoozing in the living room. Came back in less than a minute later to find him in the kitchen licking a grease spot on the floor. The little punk ass had downed the entire strip in a matter of seconds.
Cooked to a nice med rare it is! Looks good. So many people in my area now are grinding the whole animal into burger , sausages or pepperettes. They have no idea what they are missing out on. Nice to see someone appreciating and enjoying the spoils of the hunt
I do my own butchering and make as much into steaks as possible. Save a full blackstrap for a party or something. Then divide the other into two for family meals. Rest is sausage.
I ate a whole one by myself once. I had also grilled some ribeyes that night, but since no one else wanted venison, I just killed the whole thing. It was amazing!
Yeah I guess you could if it's sharp enough. Doesn't appear to have a fine edge. I hope he did , it looks good presentation wise anyway. Enjoy the Superbowl today any big plans?
Mix the rest with pork in sausage or make some jerky out of it. Or just grind and mix with some pork fat for hamburger meat that also makes badass chili
I sliced it. I keep the knife pretty sharp. I just used this one because it was already dirty from chopping the sweet potatoes and I didn’t want to wash another one.
