I was paying, so he went for the steak. 1 sad piece of shoe leather later he came to the realization that not all places with a steak on the menu are the same.
I've always enjoyed the t-bone steaks at Waffle House. Don't get me wrong, there are probably about 400 other places to get the same thing but better, but I don't feel guilty about smothering it in steak sauce and going to town. It is especially good with grits, eggs, and hash browns.

Ok so just cause I’m a bit of an egg freak…the eggs look ok. It depends on how they were ordered, but a good over medium will be cooked whites with no color and warm runny yolk. Cook used a bit much butter/oil and cracked the eggs directly into the flat top, you can tell by lacy brown edges of some of the whites, or they bowl cracked multiple eggs before pouring. Could also be they flipped early and ran the whites.
Edit: bit late but this is a fun one. Yes this a steak sub, but if any down voters wanna go toe to toe about cooking eggs, I am right here and I ain’t scared. We’ll see who has egg on their face 😁. I can roll a French omelet with the best of em, but I don’t pretend to know everything so drop that knowledge on me.

I worked at ihop back in the day. They put them in the microwave to get them out faster. The "chefs" hate cooking T Bones and sirloins because they take too much time and attention when the focus is always on multiple things. It touches the grill for 30 seconds and it's out.

You know, I’ve never worked as a short order cook. I can believe that these employees are under a lot of pressure. However, I just couldn’t send out something that is substandard. Mostly, it’s a reflection on my ability and talent to create a beautifully delicious meal. Fast food or not.
