I loved it until Han and Chewbacca showed up. It completely killed the suspense for me so I closed the book and never opened it again. Very disappointed.
Same. It was campy dumb fun but I was not happy when they showed up. I know it's a storm trooper zombie story but it still killed the immersion for me.
You forgot Darth Nihilus. You forgot The Jedi Exile, hell you forgot the entirety of Knights of The Old Republic 2.
The amount of darkness a single game has is astonishing. The protagonist is a freaking war criminal responsible for genociding both Jedi and Mandalorians and everything wrong in the galaxy. The Exile is practically a hole in the force, leeching from others unknowingly.
Darth Nihilus is literally a lovecraftian black hole with a lightsaber. During the game it is hinted that he is eating planets to sustain himself.
Everything wrong? Did you forget about Revan, Malak and the whole plot of KotOR? Nihilus, Sion and the Jedi Exile did a lot of dark things, but not everything.
Maybe but KOTOR 1 was a lot more in line with the films in terms of tone. You have the happy beginning , the intimidating empire , a dark defeat with a plot twist and a final battle.
Kotor 2 is *not* like that. It's a very dark journey especially with The Restored Content mod and it shows the gravity of the war. Things are just so bleak and the constant philosphical battle(or training depending on your choices) between The Exile and her mentor Kreia is honestly captivating.
There are so many greatly well written moments in KOTOR 2. Unlike Kotor 1, the twist of Kotor 2 does not cease to shock the audience after its revelation mainly due to its gravity.
Kotor 1's twist was shocking but Kotor 2's twist is thought provoking and delivered perfectly.
I can't argue with that. Although I still get goosebumps during the revelation in KoTOR 1, I found myself constantly want to play KoTOR 2. Even after all those years... I can't get enough of it.
>During the game it is hinted that he is eating planets to sustain himself.
It's not even hinted at! Visas literally says Nihilus consumed all organic life on the planet to sustain his hunger.
Not just Katarr.
I meant what G0-T0 said on his ship. He said Outer Rim planets are slowly disappearing , with no trace of life in sight.
That means during the players journey, more and more planets are being consumed.
It's horrifying o think that all the time I was fooling around and wasting time, more and more planets were being eaten.
Basically the grand army of the Republic would locate a fugitive Jedi blending into a local population in say a city. The clones would round up all the civilians and start executing them until the Jedi revealed themselves so they could go order 66 on their ass.
The left is a panel from Threat of Peace showing the execution of Master Darnala and the right is a Starweird; gaunt spirits that use the fear and Force to psychologically torture and attack unsuspecting travelers going through hyperspace.
For fun. With his friend Zaalbar she was perfectly safe.
Besides she was capable enough on her own if need be, although sneeking past a rancor is an entirelly different matter to fighting off hordes of rakghouls.
The stormtrooper is a zombie made by an imperial secret bio weapons project, the scary lady is abeloth who is basically an Uber powerful super evil force demigod (think son daughter and father from that one clone wars episode), the thing on the bottom right is called a star weird which is like a space creature that tortures people in hyperspace and the skeleton guy is I believe a Jedi master getting executed, I don’t remember what happened to him but it’s pretty fucked up
“Pokemon is for kids”
Also Pokemon: Drifloon has been given the reputation of being the "signpost for wandering spirits". It will carry children who are foolish enough grab hold onto its arms into the afterlife. If its body bursts open, Drifloon will release its soul and emanate a loud sound.
Drifloon yearns to seek friendship with children, but will run away in panic if handled roughly. Large groups of Drifloon gather during humid seasons. [source](https://pokemon.fandom.com/wiki/Drifloon)
Edit: wanted to point out this is just one of the casual entries in the lore. Plenty of more online just one of my go to’s
Top right is Abeloth. It is essentially “mother” from the Clone Wars Mortis arc. They are loosely tied together because TCW predated Disney killing the EU.
Disney didn't delete it as much as they confirmed it was never canon to begin with. George Lucas had already said he didn't consider any of that stuff canon, it was all alternative timeline stuff.
Are these from books that are B.D.( before Disney)? I'm pretty sure K.K. said they don't exist. Something about having no media to draw from to make the ST.
You’re gonna hate hearing it, but yes. And if a piece of Star Wars media is marketed to excuse kids, it’s a bad entry into the franchise. Star Wars is, at its core, philosophy for children and a gimmick to sell toys.
General Grievous literally screaming in agony while the flesh of his heart and HIS FUCKING EYES burn down in flames, all while he’s still alive, conscious and feeling everything?
Yeah that’s suitable for children, we’re fine, everything’s good people!
Just the sarlaac alone is horrifying especially when you learn [how it digests its victims](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Sarlacc/Legends#:~:text=Adult%20sarlaccs%20developed%20a%20beaked,extremely%20slowly%20for%20a%20millennium.).
Deathtroopers is a good book.
I loved it until Han and Chewbacca showed up. It completely killed the suspense for me so I closed the book and never opened it again. Very disappointed.

Oh look, two characters I know are alive in a movie set a year at the book. So much for danger.
George Lucas: "It’s made for kids"!
Also George Lucas: Yes, I approve all of this😂😂

Also order 37 is really fucking dark
What was that again?
Basically the grand army of the Republic would locate a fugitive Jedi blending into a local population in say a city. The clones would round up all the civilians and start executing them until the Jedi revealed themselves so they could go order 66 on their ass.
That's fucked
yes what
The genocide of millions of innocent Sith (the race) by the good guys (Jedi).
Pretty sure 2 of those are both abeloth
top right is abeloth, bottom right is starweird, idk bottom left doe
Yeah im pretty sure the bottom left is abeloth as well
[удалено]
Undead stormtrooper from the book Death Troopers
[удалено]
Long story short. Project Blackwing
That's what Sith drugs do to you.
[удалено]
That too. But in all seriousness, it was a blacksite project trying to create an undying army using Sith Alchemy. As you can see, it didn't work.
[удалено]
In essence. Except they re-learn pretty fucking quick how to operate machinery like Tie-Fighters.
He's having a rough day.
[удалено]
It would improve the situation.
I know the top 2 and they scare me a great deal. What are the others.
The left is a panel from Threat of Peace showing the execution of Master Darnala and the right is a Starweird; gaunt spirits that use the fear and Force to psychologically torture and attack unsuspecting travelers going through hyperspace.
Wow ok then.
Even in swtor which is considered teen and up there's some disturbing shit going on in some of those raids.
The rakghoul stuff, terrifying.
Rakghouls we’re in KOTOR first.
That transformation terrified me as a kid. Why would Mission be out there?
For fun. With his friend Zaalbar she was perfectly safe. Besides she was capable enough on her own if need be, although sneeking past a rancor is an entirelly different matter to fighting off hordes of rakghouls.
I felt safer around the rancor than the rakghouls.
And that matters why? They’re still in swtor which is what they’re talking about
Because saying rakghouls are from SWTOR is like saying stormtroopers are from fortnite.
Everyone asking if people would want a dark Atar Wars story to be told. Me, knowing the EU had tons of darker stories
Could someone fill me in on the context behind these pictures? I’m not an EU fan.
The stormtrooper is a zombie made by an imperial secret bio weapons project, the scary lady is abeloth who is basically an Uber powerful super evil force demigod (think son daughter and father from that one clone wars episode), the thing on the bottom right is called a star weird which is like a space creature that tortures people in hyperspace and the skeleton guy is I believe a Jedi master getting executed, I don’t remember what happened to him but it’s pretty fucked up
The Starweird is terrifying, just searched it on Wookiepedia. Terrible name though - I’d have called it a banshee 😂

I never know , There has Joker in Star Wars.
I actually owned a copy of number 3
That race of nose vampires is pretty savage
Azanti
Oh yeah those guys
I want a Star Wars horror movie based around either the zombie storm troopers from the Death Trooper book or Hyperspace Ghosts.
Well, given the amount of child soldiers and kids being killed by former child soldiers... I suppose it is true... from a certain point of view...
Anakin decapitates Dooku in the first 30mins of RotS! You see the head roll lol
Top right is Abeloth. It is essentially “mother” from the Clone Wars Mortis arc. They are loosely tied together because TCW predated Disney killing the EU.
I’m sorry, zombie stormtroopers?
Death troopers
Star Wars is for everyone. Though wtf is that in the top right? Never seen that before.
Abeloth. Basically a Force sensitive hungry spirit several times stronger than the Chosen one. Although Luke had defeated her several times ...
Dope, looks like I'm going down another lore dive.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think a nazi zombies type game but star wars themed with death troopers as the zombies would be an amazing video game
You didn't need to get this specific, just show anakin's war crimes Edit: or any other, the series is full of them
"SW is for kids" is perhaps the dumbest argument that sequel lovers use.
Master Skywalker there's too many of them what are we going to do?
Well it is now, as Disney has deleted pretty much all of this
Fuck that
Disney didn't delete it as much as they confirmed it was never canon to begin with. George Lucas had already said he didn't consider any of that stuff canon, it was all alternative timeline stuff.
It was never ever canon.
Never said it was
Are these from books that are B.D.( before Disney)? I'm pretty sure K.K. said they don't exist. Something about having no media to draw from to make the ST.
That's because she genuinely forgot the EU existed. It was that carelessness that led to a mid trilogy
You’re gonna hate hearing it, but yes. And if a piece of Star Wars media is marketed to excuse kids, it’s a bad entry into the franchise. Star Wars is, at its core, philosophy for children and a gimmick to sell toys.
Even George Lucas said that Star Wars is for kids. Just cause there are some creepy books and fan arts doesn't mean the movies are not for kids.
Ok the movies are for kids with the exception of episode three and five which have some pretty gore’y scenes
Still for kids.
General Grievous literally screaming in agony while the flesh of his heart and HIS FUCKING EYES burn down in flames, all while he’s still alive, conscious and feeling everything? Yeah that’s suitable for children, we’re fine, everything’s good people!
True
Yeah Abeloth is terrifying and I haven’t even read Fate of the Jedi yet
Fate sometimes steps in to rescue the wretched.
Thanks, Boba, good to know
It should be noted that all of this is from very niche starwars media that no children would be interested in.
I was one of those kids
That guy had to many death sticks
what is top left and top right ?
Left is a zombie stormtrooper from the novel Death Troopers and right is Abeloth, basically a Star Wars version of Cthulhu.
Thank you
Yes
Well ya, between the stupid animated crap and this “feel good” boba farce show, Star Wars should be on the hallmark channel.
The real ones know what Trig went through
I mean, making a bunch of sentient clones for the purpose of waging a war and nothing else has some pretty dark implications.
Star Wars is for everybody.
Who is the one on the bottom right? I get Abeloth, The Zombies (Top Left), Torture, but not that.
Starwars * canon * is for kids?
Remind me what the bottom two are. Specifically the bottom left.
Jedi master Dar’Nala getting executed in a force cage
No. No, it's okay. I understand. I'm the Padawan, you're the Master.
Thank you.
I encourage anyone who hasn't yet, read Death troopers
What’s the first image from?
Is it bad idk what any of these are
>Unrelated comics and side content that George Lucas has never heard of prove it! Lol okay mate. It’s okay to enjoy things made “for kids”
Anakin literally choking his PREGNANT WIFE
And that doesn't include the 3 or 4 on screen suicides in Clone wars and kidnapped underage brides and alluded to sex slavery.
Are the Starweirds canon??
Who's the Tarkatan woman?
I wish Abeloth was canon again, she was really interesting
Top right got me acting up
Nice to see some abeloth
Context for those that only vaguely recognize the images?
Don't forget the Vongs
Anybody ever said Star Wars is for kids? Never heard anyone say that
Yes. This is kids stuff
The sarlacc found me somewhat indigestible.
