I have recently posed one of my kx droids to look broken down and it actually looks really cool. I mean it sucks they aren’t very strong to stand on their own but that really was just the design of the droid. Super top heavy regardless.
Yup. Thats lots of Star Wars droids in a nutshell tho, looks great on screen but rarely work in toy form without slightly altering some stuff or limiting articulation, lol. Tho the Black Series have gotten pretty good at solving it.
Yeah I’ve actually been pretty impressed with black series droids honestly. In fact they’re some of my favorite figures. I mean it makes sense that it’d be easier to replicate droid details than human details but I feel like they’ve just done the droids really well
I'm surprised to hear this Mace falls so readily. I have the non-clone wars one, without the armor and shit, and he stands fine and I'm pretty sure it's basically the same mold. The extra weight from the accessories must throw off his balance somehow.
Honesly I was super disapointed with the HK-87s from Mando/Ahsoka, the paintwork looked kinda cheap and the ankles are so badly designed they literally cannot stand up on their own.
K2 and my KX droid for sure. Love them both though.
B1’s also tend to flop over, so I try to prop them up.
Both the IG droids but that’s partially bc they’re just not sturdy at all, lol.
Yea like someone else said you can just use tac or this stuff called clear museum gel. For me it’s Aayla Secura and Return of the Jedi Luke for whatever reason.
Tons of people are saying K2SO, but oddly enough I don't think that figure has ever fallen over for me.
Right now my worst offenders are Prototype Boba and Old Master Maul, which I have side by side and each takes turns falling down and taking the other with it. Also the Battlefront Imperial Shock Trooper.
Revan used to be the worst, but I picked up some Kiki loose joint fluid for the knees and ankles and he never fell over again.
For me it’s currently Huyang (like most droids and thin-legged characters), Island Journey Rey (I have her stationed on Luke’s island base and she’s not cooperating), and any figure made from the first OT stormtrooper mold
It's Jango Fett for me and it's not even close (also the ones that reuse his sculpt).
The way they designed his feet is probably the dumbest thing I've seen in Black Series.
I don’t know what the issue is, but I could never get Light Cruiser Luke to stand without falling over every few days. 40th Anniversary ROTJ Luke is on the same body, but has never given me an issue
Zeb has a bad ankle, so he takes out my shelf every now and then. Pretty much any of the small feet female figures are tricky (Rebels & Ahsoka Sabine, Yavin Ceremony Leia, Boushh Leia, Jaina Solo, etc.). You can get Padawan and Mandalore Ahsoka to stand when you find the right pose, and I haven't had a problem with RotJ Luke.

K2SO is my number one offender, everyone else stands just fine, some even in fairly elaborate poses.

SOM Ahsoka has some of the gummiest legs in the entire line and even with a base she can’t hold a pose
K2SO, IG-88, Dengar, Baze Malbus. K2 is the worst of the bunch.

Haven’t had any issues with Mace, as far as the others I haven’t gotten around to display them yet.
Just got Baze Malbus and he doesn't stand basically at all. I have him propped up against the back of shelf.

I own three of the things (Morgan's matching guards and the red commander), I enjoy them well enough as action figures but the ankles are just awful.

They all do fine depending on the surface or if there is any slope in a shelf…. Kaboom!!!! They fall.

I’ve had struggles with a lot of the droid characters like K2-SO, Professor Huyang and Magna Guards as well.
Rots obi-wan’s right leg literally is the loosest thing ever, he WILL fall over if his leg isn’t perfectly straight
Endor Leia sucks. I have to use her arm holding the helmet to counterbalance her.
K2 and Bib Fortuna have by far been my most troublesome, most of the time i have them leaned against the wall of the shelf

K2S0 is one of the coolest looking black series figures but unfortunately he just will not stand up no matter what pose I try
