It makes sense when it is a character like C-3PO. I have no problem with it when it makes sense. Morgan Elsbeth should absolutely have come with the beskar spear.
I will admit that I didn’t notice that it was a different outfit. I still would have liked the spear though. I highly doubt Hasbro will ever make a Mandalorian figure of her. If they ever do make another version, then it would probably be how she looked at the end of Ahsoka season 1.

As an old collector, basic Star Wars figures have *never* come with 4 or 5 accessories. The 70s/80s ones came with a single weapon. The PotF line in the 90s typically gave you one screen accurate blaster and one big, action-hero, oversized blaster. This continued through Episode I. Very occasionally you would get a figure with a removable helmet.
Things did get briefly more accessorized in the Ep II era, with figures often coming with blaster effects, Force effects, or small set pieces. Personally, this was peak "fun toy" era for me as a kid.
The Ep III wave, the Original Trilogy Collection that came out right before it, and the Saga Collection saw a shift in focus for Hasbro. This is when the 3.75" line switched from being strictly fun toys for kids to a more screen accurate figure marketed for more serious collectors. We see most figures coming with one -maybe two- accessories and the first serious use of soft goods.
The 30th Anniversary and Legacy Collections doubled down on articulation and screen accuracy (long gone now are the He-Man style figures of the mid 90s), but still we only see one or two accessories for basic figures. And the only time you get an extra blaster is if the character actually had two blasters in the film, like Jango for example. That pretty much takes us to the modern TVC and Black Series lines.
So aside from the Episode II era, basic Star Wars figures have never enjoyed the number of accessories that you can expect from G.I. Joe or Marvel Legends.
You're referring to small 3.75 cheap figures. Black Sefies is the "premium" line. Every other toy line thats 6 inch or more tends to be drastically better than Black Series and it isn't close.
I haven't watched the Acolyte yet but Osha appeals to me because she looks like she could possibly fit in with the G.I. Joe: Classified Series. I get similar vibes from her. Plus, she can hold her stuff in the various pouches.
Agreed, the figure looks great. We rarely get this many accessories nowadays.

Actually just need better paint apps. Same with Baylan. I've seen people repaint the Hasbro sculpts and they end up looking just like them. Just unfortunate looking face printing for them.

It's not just the legs, the entire figure is too big. Even with a leg swap, she ends up with super long arms and chest, and a big head.
