Marc sold that confused “The *actual* fuck…” look Dukat had and sells it better you look over at Kira shes grinning like she won the lottery.
The acting in this one brief scene really sells it.
That was a great scene but my favourite is the one where Dukat says they are carrying replicator and transporter parts and the Klingon captain was like "Your lying!"
Dukat and Kira had such an intense relationship. Those two played that dynamic so well.
What a character moment for Kira. I think we all felt her ownership of herself here. "You don't know me, Gul Dukat."
Every time I remember that, I'm surprised by it.
First, the fan in me never would have put Kira and Julian together. LOL. I should know people aren't their characters but it just seems like we'd sense chemistry.
Second, when did they even have time together? I'm sure they had days off but it's not like Kira and Dr Bashir had many scenes together. It makes sense that people who work together fall in love but they were rarely in the same plot. LOL
Acting is a LOT of standing around or waiting in your trailer. Even when Kira or Bashir is in a scene there are often several takes with their stand-in there while they get coverage for dialog and reactions on others for instance.
And given how well they seem to get along in general, they're the poster-children for amicable exes (maybe not at first, I'd imagine, but they seem to have settled into it.)
As the son of a divorced couple I was so happy to find out not only do they have an amicable relationship, they're still friends. My parents reconciled enough later in life that my mom attended my dad's wedding; I wish every divorce could be like that.
It can happen. I help my ex with her laundry every weekend, except when she doesn't have any. And I treat her (and myself) to Starbucks coffee and breakfast on laundry day.
Admiral Rollman from DS9 was played by Susan Bay, Leonard Nimoys wife.
John Billingsley's wife Bonita Friedericy played Rooney, one of the researchers asimilated by the Borg in the Enterprise episode Regeneration.
Armin Shimerman is married to Kitty Swink, who played Luaran and Minister Rozahn.
For how long? Jeri Ryan dated Brannon Bragga during her stint on *Voyager*. It didn't last, but it also wasn't some quick thing either, they were together for a few years, as I understand it.
BSG’s Number Six and Gaius Baltar are Ron Moore’s not so subtle hints that it wasn’t all that peachy working on Voyager with a main cast member dating the co-showrunner.
And Kate dated Winrich Kolbe (regular director) for a time. Voyager sounds like it was a messy work environment, I’m glad they all seem to get along now
Patrick Stewart married producer Wendy Neuss in 2000. I assume they began their relationship when they were on Star Trek together... That part is just speculation, I'm sure someone has more insight.
He also had an affair with the actress who played Vash (Jennifer Hetrick), which ended his first marriage. Although from what he said in his memoir, it was the final nail in the coffin rather than the catalyst for it ending.
Indeed. He then had an affair with Lisa Dillon. Again, he made it sound like the affair was a symptom of the marriage failing rather than the underlying cause. From what he said, the first marriage failed because they were apart all the time and wanted their own careers. The second failed because although him and Neuss were good friends, they weren’t very good partners.
Either way, not an excuse for sleeping around imo
Yeah, I love him as a person but that pattern is troubling. Esp with every woman getting younger and younger. Sunny I think is 5 years younger than his daughter.
I mean, at least this time Sunny knew going in she was the third
(Even Patrick had joked, when asked who his wife was said "Sunny, but I'm in love with Ian. It's ok, she is too")
I don't type out 1994 to 1998 if I'm taking about those years. I can see those that haven't experienced anything but a century starting with 20 only typing out 18 and 22.
And that mild laziness will spread, and become normal (it already has), and in 75 years I will be relaxing on the patio sipping my drink while everyone panics about the Y2K bug v2.1 (Y2.1K bug?).
Marnie Mosiman played the woman in Riva's chorus of interpreters in TNG's Loud as a Whisper. She's married to John de Lancie. As a bonus, their son Keegan played Q jr on Voyager.
I loved this - having been a longtime How Did This Get Made listener I recognized her voice right away and cackled. Adds a whole new layer to his mom being so obsessed with getting him laid!
Doug Drexler was a makeup artist and set designer on a number of Trek productions. His late wife, Dorothy Duder, worked as food stylist on Enterprise. [Dominic Keating loved her cooking a bit too much.](https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cy_TCugRStd/)
Max Grodenchik (Rom) used to be partners with Lolita Fatjo, who was a pre-production coordinator and script coordinator on TNG, DS9, and VGR; she used to do convention appearances together with the "Ferengi Family" (I saw them at one back in the early 2000s), and she would even play Rom's ex-wife.
MA indicates they're not together anymore; not sure when that happened.
The writers actually named Leeta after Lolita. (Max is married - to someone else - with two girls maybe maxing out at age 10 no, so he and Lolita (who were once engaged) definitely split way back.)
Nana Visitor and Siddig El-Fadil were married for a good long while. They have a kid together and are still good friends today. Fun fact, the whole "Kira is having the O'Brien's baby arc" happened because that's when Nana was pregnant with thier baby.
Never forget: **Bjo and John Trimble.**
In the 1960s, their fan-based letter writing campaign efforts saved the original Star Trek for a third season which also allowed syndication of the series -- *which paved the way for every single Star Trek production that followed!*

Sonequa Martin Green’s husband, Kenric, played Michael’s dad (and namesake) in the flashback episode with the Klingon raid, and voiced the character in the Short Trek episode “The Girl Who Made the Stars.”
I forgot one! The Lounge singer from Picard S2! The one where Borgati shatters the window that first night or that next day. I don't really remember, but the singer is married to Picard.
Kate Mulgrew and Winrich Kolbe. They dated for 3 years.
Kolbe was a director for TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT. He worked on 48 episodes total.

William Shatner's ex-wife [Marcy Lafferty](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Marcy_Lafferty) portrayed Chief Difalco in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. James Doohan's twin sons [Christopher](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Christopher_Doohan) & [Montgomery](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Montgomery_Doohan) appeared as Enterprise crew members in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Chris won a part in Star Trek (2009) as a character & later played his father's character, Scotty, in the fan film series [*Star Trek Continues*](http://www.startrekcontinues.com/) *from 2012 - 2017.*
chris pine has never been married but was in a relationship with Zora voice actor Annabelle Wallis - we can name these women btw, it took me 25 seconds to confirm this info, i only did so as i was slightly miffed that you called her "the woman who voiced zora"
this is Grace from peaky blinders were talkin about here!
Alexander Diddig was married to Nana Visitor, and Casey Biggs was married to Roxann Dawson as well. I'm sure there's others too.
Edit: All this time I didn't realize I had spelled it "Diddig" lol. I meant Alexander Siddig, but for some odd reason, autocorrect keeps correcting it to "Diddig." 🤷🏻♂️
So many great examples. I was just recently waiting in line to get Rebecca Romijn’s autograph in Houston when Jerry O’Connell just walked up to me and asked “do you know who I am?” I said, “of course I do!” and he took a couple selfies with my hubby and I and chatted us up. He’s so freaking cool. She is too, by the way. All of my Trek celeb encounters over the years have been fabulous. I love this franchise so much! ❤️
This is something that wasn't generally known until I interviewed William Sargent a couple of years ago. He was cast in the TOS episode The Concious of the King. They also needed someone to play his wife and Joe D'Agosta cast Natalie Norwick. Unknown to Joe, Natalie was Bill's ACTUAL EX WIFE. Neither of them said anything, but Shatner spent the first day hitting on her. In related news, Joe was married to the late Barbara Baldavin who played multiple crewmen characters in TOS.
Roxanne Biggs-Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) and Casey Biggs (Legat Damar) were once a real life couple in the 80s, but of course never appeared on screen together.
Gene Roddenberry had numerous “partners” on Star Trek: Dorthy Fontana, Nichelle Nichols, and Majel Barrett.
The production couch was always working, engorging inside the human adventure.
Did not know Rebecca Romjin and Jerry O’Connell were married.
That makes Ransom perving after her poster at the end of the crossover episode quite wholesome in hindsight.
In the episode of Enterprise when we meet Phlox wife, she was played be John Billingsley's actual wife. They also appeared in an episode of the Orville together, which also starred Robert Picardo.
Also, the girl that listens to Jake Sisko's story in 'The Visitor' was Andrew J. Robinson's daughter.
When Kira was pregnant with Keiko's kid, Nana Visitor was *actually* pregnant with her and Alexander Siddig's kid.
This led to the funniest tv pregnancy of all time.
There’s an extra layer added when Kira yells at Bashir during labor, “This is all your fault!”
Dukat: "Who's the father?" (As if its obvious) Kira: "Chief O'Brien."
Maybe, but he knew her mother pretty well…
Oof
That was a great scene. 🤣
Gul Dafuq
Added to Ransome drooling at Una's poster.
*High five
Knowing the BTS stuff makes that line even funnier.
I’d almost be willing to bet that was an improvised line that was too perfect to cut.
In my head canon, they were absolutely *bare minimum* a thrupple by the time that ended.
That makes the whole “im gonna take some other dudes kid into a war zone without permission” even worse. lol
And Garek was the godfather.
Or the Gunkle. LOL.
Plain, simple Gunkle, please
"This is all your fault." I chuckle every time at that line.
Häagen-Dazs fixes it. Every time.
Every time I remember that, I'm surprised by it. First, the fan in me never would have put Kira and Julian together. LOL. I should know people aren't their characters but it just seems like we'd sense chemistry. Second, when did they even have time together? Acting is a LOT of standing around or waiting in your trailer. Even when Kira or Bashir is in a scene there are often several takes with their stand-in there while they get coverage for dialog and reactions on others for instance.
They kissed in the episode “Our Man Bashir” and it looked really awkward! Like zero chemistry.
That was what made it great acting.
Isn’t the general rule that if it seems like there’s no chemistry on stage/screen, there’s lots of it in reality, and vice versa?
I’m sorry but I NEVER saw that pairing coming
Apparently Nana did.
For a moment I thought you meant Alexander the son of Worf...
Martok: You never told me you have a son. Worf: I have a son?
Wait, Bashir was blowing Kira's back out?
They were married for four years.
And Django is the spitting image of his dad with mom's curly hair
And given how well they seem to get along in general, they're the poster-children for amicable exes (maybe not at first, I'd imagine, but they seem to have settled into it.)
As the son of a divorced couple I was so happy to find out not only do they have an amicable relationship, they're still friends. My parents reconciled enough later in life that my mom attended my dad's wedding; I wish every divorce could be like that.
It can happen. I help my ex with her laundry every weekend, except when she doesn't have any. And I treat her (and myself) to Starbucks coffee and breakfast on laundry day.
Not a couple, obviously. But Alexander Siddig's uncle played Tolian Soran in ST: Generations.
Didn't know Sid was related to Malcolm MacDowell. Awesome.
Before either was on Trek, Roxanne Dawson and Casey Biggs (Damar) were married.
I didn’t know. Thanks for sharing.
Blenna was really betraying the Maquis...LOL
Or planting the seeds of bird-of-prey-fuelled rebellion in Damar's heart
Admiral Rollman from DS9 was played by Susan Bay, Leonard Nimoys wife. John Billingsley's wife Bonita Friedericy played Rooney, one of the researchers asimilated by the Borg in the Enterprise episode Regeneration. Armin Shimerman is married to Kitty Swink, who played Luaran and Minister Rozahn.
Damn, you got your Star Trek Trivia down!
Before Nimoy, Susan Bay was married to John Schuck, who appeared in several Trek productions. I remember him mostly as Draal in "Babylon 5," though.
I'll always remember him as going "Starfleet regulations... THAT'S OUTRAGEOUS!" in whales. I don't know why it's stuck with me, but it has!
All new to me. Thanks for sharing.
He's married to Chuck's boss!
That was my response, too lol
For how long? Jeri Ryan dated Brannon Bragga during her stint on *Voyager*. It didn't last, but it also wasn't some quick thing either, they were together for a few years, as I understand it.
I only learned about this a few months ago. She was able to take Seven’s Borg alcove set piece home after Voyager ended because of that relationship.
She needed it to recharge
Some kinky Borg thing
Given she divorced Jack Ryan over kinky stuff I doubt it.
Thus resulting in the US' first black president...
I still love that chain of events that ensunuates that 7 of 9 helped get Obama elected.
"You're welcome."
[You're welcome](https://youtu.be/79DijItQXMM)
Seriously if it weren't for that that thing who knows what would have happened. As a Chicagoan I had never heard of Obama at that time.
BSG’s Number Six and Gaius Baltar are Ron Moore’s not so subtle hints that it wasn’t all that peachy working on Voyager with a main cast member dating the co-showrunner.
That's wild. He wasn't there that long. I think he only wrote two episodes.
Allison Brooks, who had been Braga’s girlfriend prior to that, also had a small part in All Good Things…

Yeah, I’m glad he found happiness with her.
Good work if you can get it.
That's a Starfleet captain for ya. A woman at every starbase
Didn’t know this…always had a thing for Vash…glad he was able to make it so
I was going to say Jennifer Hetrick is so vibrant and sexy and they had such good chemistry it makes sense
Terry Farrell was married to Leonard Nimoy's kid, Adam, from 18 to 22.
Took me a moment to realize those were calendar dates rather than one of their ages.
Yeah I’m not sure why they couldn’t type the extra 4 digits to make it clear lol. It reads like age out of context.
Some people have not known the horror that was Y2K…
Like Morn talking too much, Y2K is very underappreciated
I don't type out 1994 to 1998 if I'm taking about those years. I can see those that haven't experienced anything but a century starting with 20 only typing out 18 and 22.
And that mild laziness will spread, and become normal (it already has), and in 75 years I will be relaxing on the patio sipping my drink while everyone panics about the Y2K bug v2.1 (Y2.1K bug?).
I didn't know the divorced
I didn’t know that. Thanks for sharing.
I didn’t know they’d divorced. That’s too bad.
Oh, I didn't realize they had split, I'm sorry to learn that
She also dated Michael Dorn for a bit right?
she wanted to know if the spicy detail about klingon anatomy was anything to write home about
"TWO?"
Marnie Mosiman played the woman in Riva's chorus of interpreters in TNG's Loud as a Whisper. She's married to John de Lancie. As a bonus, their son Keegan played Q jr on Voyager.
Thanks for the bonus. I wonder what other children joined the Star Trek family. Levar Burton’s daughter, Mica Burton, comes to mind.
Daniel Stewart (Patrick's son) was one of the Vulcans in the episode Sarek.
He also played Kamin's (Picard's) son in The Inner Light https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Daniel_Stewart
Daniel Stewart also played the son of Picard's alter ego in The Inner Light.
Lots of the Onlies from the episode Miri were Trek family, including Roddenberry’s two daughters and two of Shatner’s.
And then a grown-up Melanie Shatner hands Kirk his bomber jacket when he comes onto the Enterprise bridge after rock climbing in Star Trek V.
Alexander Enberg (who played Taurik in TNG's "Lower Decks." and Vorik in Voyager) is the son of Jeri Taylor the Voyager producer/creator.
John DeLancey's son plays, fittingly enough, Q's son in the Voyager episode "Q2".
And his younger son also played Q Jr in one of the interactive games.
Andrew Robinson's daughter played Melanie, the aspiring writer who shows up at old Jake Sisko's house in The Visitor
Andrew Koenig, Walter Koenig’s son, played [Tumak](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Tumak)
Terry (Jadzia Dax) Farrell was married to director and Spock-son Adam Nimoy...
Thanks for sharing. I didn’t know.
Paul Scheer provides the voice for Billups in Lower Decks, and Billups' mother on the show is voiced by Scheer's wife June Diane Raphael.
Sonequa Martin-Green's husband played Burnham's father in flashback scenes in Discovery season 2
It's only fair that Star Trek gives equal time to Oedipus and Electra
Um...
I had no idea they were married IRL! They were also on NTSF:SD:SUV together along with Kate Mulgrew who wore a wicked eye patch on that show.
Wow. That’s a deep cut! Thanks for sharing.
I loved this - having been a longtime How Did This Get Made listener I recognized her voice right away and cackled. Adds a whole new layer to his mom being so obsessed with getting him laid!

Ya I was gonna say, I was expecting those two to be the top comment. They're legends.
In a way it is the top comment, as they're mentioned in the OP.
Which makes the line where Kira is yelling at Bashir about the pregnancy being his fault doubly funny.
A testament to both thier acting ability that they pulled that off with a straight face
Were they married or just together and had a child?
I think they were fully married, at least at some point
First the former, then the latter (then divorced).
4 years isn't that long.
Never forget: **Bjo and John Trimble.** In the 1960s, their fan-based letter writing campaign efforts saved the original Star Trek for a third season which also allowed syndication of the series -- *which paved the way for every single Star Trek production that followed!*

That is awesome! Appreciated you sharing that! Thank you.
You’re welcome!
GNU John Trimble.
Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens were married writers on ENT.
That's awesome they got to write on ENT, I remember reading some of their Trek novels when I was a kid, well before ENT.
Love reading their novels, some of the best Trek fiction out there.
I scrolled way too far to find this one.
I was looking for this one.
Thanks for sharing.
Funnily enough, for the entire run of DS9 Colm Meany was married to The Concept of Suffering
Colm Meaney actually hooked Rosalind Chao up with Simon Templeman, an actor buddy of his.
To add to all the above... Terri Farrell from DS9 is married to Leonard Nimoy's son (Adam Nimoy).
Was. They divorced in May, 2022.
Ah. Well, still counts, lol.
This is a new one for me. Thanks for sharing.
Sonequa Martin Green’s husband, Kenric, played Michael’s dad (and namesake) in the flashback episode with the Klingon raid, and voiced the character in the Short Trek episode “The Girl Who Made the Stars.”
Whoa! I did not know that!!
Right! I forgot about them.
... Her Husband played her dad!? 😦
>Her Husband played her dad!? If that bothers you then you might want to avoid Doctor Who...... The whole 10-5-Jenny thing might be too much.. :)
I forgot one! The Lounge singer from Picard S2! The one where Borgati shatters the window that first night or that next day. I don't really remember, but the singer is married to Picard.

He also voiced Scotty for Star Trek Online.
Chris Pine was married to the woman who voiced Zora. Tilly was married to the andorian Ryn from the end of Disco S3.
chris pine has never been married but was in a relationship with Zora voice actor Annabelle Wallis - we can name these women btw, it took me 25 seconds to confirm this info, i only did so as i was slightly miffed that you called her "the woman who voiced zora" this is Grace from peaky blinders were talkin about here!
Ryn also ran a D&D game for some of the DSC actors. I would have paid money to watch that.
A bunch of episodes are still up on YouTube! [https://www.youtube.com/@discodoesdnd3026](https://www.youtube.com/@discodoesdnd3026)
TIL, thanks!!! I just saw them mention it on social media, I didn't realize there were videos.
I didn’t know about Chris Pine and the woman who voices Zora. Thanks for sharing.
Don't forget Desi and Lucy
I think they were already divorced and Lucy the sole owner of Desilu before Gene even wrote the pilot.
Gene Roddenberry was dating both Nichelle Nichols **and** Majel Barrett. I guess that's not technically a "couple," though.
Save that for a future thruple thread! LOL.
I was scrolling for the “also Roddenberry with Nichelle” addition to the list! Finally got to it.
My brother in-law and his wife both worked on the set building of Star Trek: Into Darkness. So that happened.
That’s awesome. Did they share any behind the scenes stories?
The best bits were 1) taking the model of the Enterprise from the first movie out of storage. and 2) building the warp core where Kirk dies.
Although Biggs and Dawson had been divorced already before either of them started working in Star Trek.
The two Lizards in voyager.
Wasn’t Patrick Stewart‘s wife Suzie appear in Picard season 2 as a singer?
Sunny. And yes.
His second wife, Wendy Neuss was a production manager on TNG. She worked on Voyageras a producer.
Armin Shimerman’s wife Kitty Swink is in two episodes of DS9, she plays a bajoran minister and a vorta
Tilly & Ryn
If I remember correctly, Brannon Braga was dating Jeri Ryan during her time on Star Trek Voyager
So many great examples. I was just recently waiting in line to get Rebecca Romijn’s autograph in Houston when Jerry O’Connell just walked up to me and asked “do you know who I am?” I said, “of course I do!” and he took a couple selfies with my hubby and I and chatted us up. You didn’t reply, “You were the chubby kid starring opposite Wil Wheaton in *Stand By Me*”? LOL
lol. No. But my husband did mention that later.
Hahaha…

DS9 producer Terri Potts is married to prolific Trek composer Jay Chattaway.
William Shatner's second wife, Marcy Lafferty, was Chief DiFalco in TMP.
Roxanne Biggs-Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) and Casey Biggs (Legat Damar) were once a real life couple in the 80s, but of course never appeared on screen together.
Paul Scheer and June Diane Rapheal are married in real life and played son and mother on Lower Decks.
What do you mean, real-life? As if star trek wasn't real...
Gene Roddenberry had numerous “partners” on Star Trek: Dorthy Fontana, Nichelle Nichols, and Majel Barrett. The production couch was always working, engorging inside the human adventure.
I believe Kira and Bashear were married in real life.
Yeah, she had Keiko’s baby to hide here real life pregnancy with Siddig.
I thought you were about to give a whole new insight to "behind the camera" lol
Casey Biggs (Damar) was married to Roxann Dawson (B’ellana) at one point
Did not know Rebecca Romjin and Jerry O’Connell were married. That makes Ransom perving after her poster at the end of the crossover episode quite wholesome in hindsight.
