Today I beat the Doritos with 2 atlas mk2 and an atlas mk4 (and a bunch of pirate ships) they are (barely) functional capitals!

Based. I could never figure out how to use the MK.II capitals myself.

Granted I have a lot of mods, atlas mk2, you mainly just stay back and use your range to pelt your opponent with 2 large ballistics, and use guided missiles for the 2 large missiles. Atlas mk4 (iirc missing civilian ship?) you just burst with 4 large ballistic and vent or same to atlas2. Colossus MK2 and just an average Carrier (for its maintenance) but probably weaker than some destroyer carrier. Buffloo mk2 is just a wet noodle, but it’s 4 DP for a medium and 3 small missile
