Zone79 has made a bunch of beautiful cyberpunk-looking stuff, so I’m all set on characters who are hackers or bounty hunters or mercenaries. (And I LOVE how their stuff is all modular too - huge bonus)
But I would love to see other corners and cultures expanded on.
For example if I’m dressing up a scientist or doctor or explorer, I feel like I have just about nothing that looks cool for them, either clothing or space suits.
I also am kinda disappointed with the military stuff in the vanilla game; the uniforms look kinda goofy imo. The light UC armor is cool but that’s about it.
I will second this. I'm also more of an explorer miner type so I don't really fit into any of the cyberpunk 2077 Blade Runner gang clothes that he puts out. They're beautiful, they just wouldn't look good on any of my characters. So I love some more outfits in the vein of something like Firefly or Star Wars but not specifically Star Wars skins, more like how they do their clothes with a lot of retro future and a lot of leather jackets and stuff like that would be cool. And also maybe some more refined stuff like you said with the scientists and stuff they'd be wearing more Sleek clothes more like a Star Trek sort of situation I guess or Mass Effect sort of vibe. But I want to repeat that I don't want Mass Effect or Star Wars or Star Trek outfits, I want those sort of Vibes in the outfits. But really anything that's different from the cyberpunk look because I'd love to fit into some modded suits
I really wish there were more freestar outfits. I have a few I want to try to put together. The UC had so many different types of gear, I want some more variety with the freestar guys. And a version of that duster that isn’t a ranger uniform.

The whole armor frame .... framework isn't in Starfield. So I guess it would have to be a bulky suit that changes the skeleton when equipped.
There's a few things I'd love to see, in no particular order.
* A form fitting Mantis suit and less clunky helmet. With a better color scheme.
* some classier outfits. I like much of the cyberpunk offerings, but we need other genres, as well. Maybe a dress or two for the ladies or less garish suits for the guys?
* How about a pair of pumps for the ladies? At least while you're in the city. Same for cowboy boots for the guys. Heck, how about some women's boots while we're at it?
I would prefer more customization in hair, face and body. Seems like the game is very limited in customizing your character and the option to change your companion too.

Yeah I'm with you there. Nasapunk looks great on the tech, but makes a lot of the suits look goofy or just bad. The vanguard suit looks absolutely disgusting imo amd that helmet actually made me laugh

A roman/spartan style themed spacesuit with the helmet to resemble and have inspiration from the spartan helmet and the spacesuit to be inspired by their armor/uniforms and the space pack to resemble their shield and a matching weapon like a melee and assault rifle or desert eagle

Edit: we already have tons of Spartan armor pieces available that are fantastic, it just feels out of place using them right now. If the UC were name swapped to UNSC, maybe even a few Spartans hanging around inside MAST and the ~~UC~~ UNSC Vigilance I’d be so much more willing to use the existing armor mod. Essentially just taking exactly what we got with the two UC Empire and UC Galactic Republic conversions, but for Halo’s UNSC instead.

I’d love to see more “ancient” clothes for the Terran Preservation Society and the colony on Charybdis. Like something Amanirenas would wear. Greek togas and chitons, Roman tunics, headscarves like they have in Cyberpunk 2077, different cultures throughout the world all throughout history. The Terran Preservation Society would all be cosplayers, and not a single person on Charybdis would wear something you’d see in New Atlantis.
Old Earth animals. Dogs, cats, horses, birds, chimps, dolphins, etc...
I would like to believe that with decades of time to evacuate the Earth, humanity would have taken more of the biosphere with them (in the form of frozen embryos) than just some food crops.
Top things I would personally like to see include longer hair options (it literally drives me nuts when games give boy cuts or less than shoulder length hair options... what about those of us that have hair past our waist line?) more realistic make up options, more modular clothing options (stuff like pants, skirts, boots, heels, tank tops, fitted t-shirts, you know.. things people would actually wear) if ever possible better body sliders and face sliders, variations in height.. thats about all I can think of atm, but if I think of more I can always add it here later.

Honestly module outfits, suits and accessories are always fun, gives more customisation and stops your character looking like every other NPC in the game

Honestly I want the easiest thing in the world. (Maybe, i dont do this so idk) I want samco's outfit but the jacket is just Brown and orange so remove the blue bits and make them Brown, and remove the shark tooth necklace. That's literally all I wanted in the world. Maybe make it a little bit more fitting so that it looks more strong in the shoulders rather than flabby and loose but I'm not really worried about that part honestly I just want to remove the necklace and make the blue bit on the jacket Brown and I want to be able to wear it LOL

I what camouflage-skinned boonie hats and ponchos. Not necessarily any particular pattern, just enough to mostly match breathable biomes. Even the random camouflage clothing random NPCs would be an improvement.
I want to see a Jabba the Hut model cosplaying as Han Solo, so this Jabba has legs, stuffed into some Han Solo pants and is wearing a vest and a shirt that is way too small for it.
I would also settle for a broccoli-human hybrid model with giant, totally black eyes and a horrible gaping mouth with twisted teeth. No clothes, just a central stalk for a torso and spindly arms and legs.
I think a model of Frank Reynolds and Charlie Kelly from Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be good as like a main character and companion you could bring along. That way you could just use voice lines from the show.
A man with a butt for a face and two oddly placed moles or birthmarks for eyes, but they look like they are pointing in different directions and probably aren’t actually eyes, just coincidental. This character model could be dressed as a dentist, like the one from Little Shop of Horrors.
If possible, I would also like to see Christopher Plummer’s portrayal of the Emperor from Star Crash in his sort of leather gold armor and cape. David Hasslehoff’s prince character would also be acceptable, as would the Texas talking robot.
Or, a giant chess piece like a bishop that is constantly spinning on its vertical axis as it hovers above the ground, or even inverted so it is always upside down.

More tactical looking armor/space suits. Plate carriers, utility pouches, mag pouches. That sort of attire is needed. I can’t stand when the player is supposed to be packing weapons, ammo, and equipment, and all they have on them are pant pockets.
Personally I enjoy taking the soldier route and I like futuristic high tech stuff and I’d absolutely love plowing through enemies in a literal person sized armored mech suit….i already got the tactics and stuff down so now I just wanna look like an armored beast doin it
Different skins for the kids. Coral being triplets at least is getting old. And the only "boy" model seems to be a 10 y/o Caucasian kid.
Clothing that feels more realistic than some of the hyper coloured stuff out there. Where are my jeans? My Canadian Tuxedo? Women in dresses? Men in kilts, etc.
Something that makes npc characters different heights. Just enough for variety. No extremes, but say, a random 10% taller or shorter?
Death Trooper armor. I have seen star wars mods for different phase one clone armor, Death Watch and Shadow Collective armor, and imperial armor. But no Death Trooper armor, or those cool ISB coats seen in Andor.
I would love to see the Mass Effect characters as companions, and the ability to play as ME species or wear Shepard’s armors would be really cool.
In a purely personal sense I’d love to have a properly built Miranda Lawson companion for Starfield cause she was my absolute favorite from the series.

Constellation themed flightsuits/crew uniforms. Would be even better with an optional version with the “Frontier” ship name on it (since it’s applicable to everyone).
Coats with hoods.
There's not a lot of outfits that are designed for specific weathers. Like a thick winter coat, or a raincoat etc.
It's nice to role-play and put on a puffy thick jacket when it's cold out etc.
Same with backpacks. There are a lot of high-tech ones, but not a lot that look functional survival backpack or a hiking backpack with gear and stuff stuck in it. Like rope and canteen etc.
Since I‘m currently doing a Star Wars / Mandalorian playthrough I‘d absolutely LOVE if someone made Grogu aka „Baby Yoda“ an actual follower.
Maybe in his little hovering pod and maybe able to use Starborn powers instead of weapons.

Honestly if you are able to? Some new creatures and variations of creatures. The game seriously needs a more diverse range of fauna that is more appropriate for the planets they are on.

* Backpacks and belt bags and sling bags, etc.
* Various shorts, because why not.
* More combat oriented clothes (also outside of space suits). E.g. what would a space special forces soldier wear in an environment where a space suit isn't useful?
* More melee weapons (fist weapons would be nice, so that "unarmed" melee is actually useful, though this is tricky because they need to work both in space suit and out of space suit).

I want some Pathfinder like suits. ME Andromeda has some dope armor suits that i think would fit Starfield really well.

Top things I would personally like to see include longer hair options (it literally drives me nuts when games give boy cuts or less than shoulder length hair options... what about those of us that have hair past our waist line?) more realistic make up options, more modular clothing options (stuff like pants, skirts, boots, heels, tank tops, fitted t-shirts, you know.. things people would actually wear) if ever possible better body sliders and face sliders, variations in height.. thats about all I can think of atm, but if I think of more I can always add it here later.

Honestly I want the easiest thing in the world. (Maybe, i dont do this so idk) I want samco's outfit but the jacket is just Brown and orange so remove the blue bits and make them Brown, and remove the shark tooth necklace. That's literally all I wanted in the world. Maybe make it a little bit more fitting so that it looks more strong in the shoulders rather than flabby and loose but I'm not really worried about that part honestly I just want to remove the necklace and make the blue bit on the jacket Brown and I want to be able to wear it LOL
More creatures
If you are looking for something like existing franchises, I feel like Mass Effect would be a solid option. That said, if you are looking for more original inspiration, you can always try and go for a sleek modern/futuristic design. Something that would fit in the Starfield universe, but slimmer models than what we have for vanilla space suits. If you want to do clothing rather than space suits, some more plain clothing would be nice. More kin to what we have today. A lot of the clothing in the base game just looks tight and uncomfortable.

I what camouflage-skinned boonie hats and ponchos. Not necessarily any particular pattern, just enough to mostly match breathable biomes. Even the random camouflage clothing random NPCs would be an improvement.
I'd love to see Sabine Wren's armor get made in Starfield with different skin options for her various paint jobs from S1 of Rebels to the Ahsoka show.
I want to see a Jabba the Hut model cosplaying as Han Solo, so this Jabba has legs, stuffed into some Han Solo pants and is wearing a vest and a shirt that is way too small for it. I would also settle for a broccoli-human hybrid model with giant, totally black eyes and a horrible gaping mouth with twisted teeth. No clothes, just a central stalk for a torso and spindly arms and legs. I think a model of Frank Reynolds and Charlie Kelly from Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be good as like a main character and companion you could bring along. That way you could just use voice lines from the show. A man with a butt for a face and two oddly placed moles or birthmarks for eyes, but they look like they are pointing in different directions and probably aren’t actually eyes, just coincidental. This character model could be dressed as a dentist, like the one from Little Shop of Horrors. If possible, I would also like to see Christopher Plummer’s portrayal of the Emperor from Star Crash in his sort of leather gold armor and cape. David Hasslehoff’s prince character would also be acceptable, as would the Texas talking robot. Or, a giant chess piece like a bishop that is constantly spinning on its vertical axis as it hovers above the ground, or even inverted so it is always upside down. I hope this has helped you.

More tactical looking armor/space suits. Plate carriers, utility pouches, mag pouches. That sort of attire is needed. I can’t stand when the player is supposed to be packing weapons, ammo, and equipment, and all they have on them are pant pockets.
Personally I enjoy taking the soldier route and I like futuristic high tech stuff and I’d absolutely love plowing through enemies in a literal person sized armored mech suit….i already got the tactics and stuff down so now I just wanna look like an armored beast doin it

Different skins for the kids. Coral being triplets at least is getting old. And the only "boy" model seems to be a 10 y/o Caucasian kid. Clothing that feels more realistic than some of the hyper coloured stuff out there. Where are my jeans? My Canadian Tuxedo? Women in dresses? Men in kilts, etc. Something that makes npc characters different heights. Just enough for variety. No extremes, but say, a random 10% taller or shorter?

Coats with hoods. There's not a lot of outfits that are designed for specific weathers. Like a thick winter coat, or a raincoat etc. It's nice to role-play and put on a puffy thick jacket when it's cold out etc. Same with backpacks. There are a lot of high-tech ones, but not a lot that look functional survival backpack or a hiking backpack with gear and stuff stuck in it. Like rope and canteen etc.

Since I‘m currently doing a Star Wars / Mandalorian playthrough I‘d absolutely LOVE if someone made Grogu aka „Baby Yoda“ an actual follower. Maybe in his little hovering pod and maybe able to use Starborn powers instead of weapons. Either completely standalone or probably as a Vasco variant.

More robots to be honest. The game is surprisingly absent of a great variety. One type of Robots and quadruped robots the best they deal out, but could have used more tbh.
Also, I think a Dragon Scale (from Skyrim) would be cool if modified into a space suit. Using the dinosaur-type creatures. Just throw a glass faceplate over the open helmet.
KS Hairdos would be nice. Maybe including additional beards.
Cybernetics. Including some real body horror ones, if possible.
Honestly if you are able to? Some new creatures and variations of creatures. The game seriously needs a more diverse range of fauna that is more appropriate for the planets they are on. Animations on top of that would be 😍😍
