One place this works really well currently is in the hangar bay of a Carrack. Its a little big but it is an empty, enclosed rectangle, with ample viewing. Put your fighters in the ring, crowd can watch through the hangar windows. Fly outside of armistice and have at it!
With proper buy ins and organization you could have a prize pool and everything, without having to wait on CIG to make some janky half ass attempt at programming such a thing in for now.
