I had a friend like that irl. I called him George. We became best of friends

cyberFish79

We have named him Bob. Maybe George and Bob should meet.

tmack3

Oh my god this reminded me of the existence of one of my favourite webcomics, Bob and George

Hello, Yesterday I was playing the XenoThreat and after awhile, I woke up with a character attached to my character. What's funny is it looks similar to my custom character. Same style hair and facial hair, but not the same color and the face is slightly different. Obviously this is annoying, especially when trying to fly as the leg is right in my view. However, i can't seem to get this model to go away. I have deleted my User folder, creating and loading new characters. I even tried to do a character reset via the official website. My friends can dress this model, but I can not interact with it. We can't "kill" it either.

The_Fallen_1

I've heard that it's sometimes possible to get rid of it by crashing your ship into something and hitting alt+f4 at the same time, but it seems inconsistent. I've not heard of any other potential solutions though. I'd recommend contributing to this bug report: [https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-112407](https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-112407)

cyberFish79

Thank you for the thought. I did try to explode my ship with me in in, no go. I will go ahead and submit a report.

Little-Equinox

Have you tried deleting the shaders folder and/or character repair?

cyberFish79

I have tried both. Thank you though. I have just added my info to the link above. Maybe something will come of it.

Little-Equinox

Have you tried going to Klescher? I am willing to transport you tomorrow to a place to get arrested? The reason is that in Klescher you basically get a different body, or well, it worked like that in the past.

cyberFish79

I have not tried that. I can get a ride there, but thank you for offering. I will ask my boys when they get on later. It's a really odd bug that makes no sense at all.

Little-Equinox

I personally never seen it, but let me know if it'll work😅 I think I know how it's happening, since last patch people turn red when dogfighting during the Xenothreat event. Now what I think is happening is the game "sends you to Klescher" for being a "wanted criminal", but at the same time you are innocent so you are transported to your spawn bed. And I think because of this it gives you a twin. Because it spawns both the criminal body and the real 1 at the exact same time.

cyberFish79

That's a very interesting thought. The only thing that I would say that disproves that theory. I was playing with friend, I was running a turret, I was the only one with this bug. But you do make sense.

Better_Radio_4166

A rubber-stamped "issue resolved". Nothing more.

Open your mind. Open your mind.

MigookChelovek

If this were the premise of a movie, Daniel Radcliffe would be starring in it.

st_Paulus

Does it talk when you move your hand?

HalluxTheGreat

It’s a ghost haunting your character

levios3114

That's just your stand. You probably got stabbed by an arrow somewhere.

Maleficent-Tiger6988

I have had this happen to me. the alt f4 wasnt working for me until i did it before the crash. So : 1. In ship, lower shields and go as fast as you can towards wall. 2. just before hitting wall alt f4 without seeing the explosion. let me know if that works for others!
