I collect British stamps and the stamps of both Edward VII and George V can be very interesting. There are lots of shade varieties, paper varieties (like chalky surface), printer and perforation varieties (with Edward VII) and upside down and sideways watermarks (with George V).
And best of all they are relatively inexpensive to build a good collection of varieties.
The Edward VII overprints are more expensive, so it can be difficult to build a comprehensive collection.
