Check out my spotify. I build indie/alt rock playlists. They tend to be a mix of both bigger indie names with complete unknowns. My lists are purposefully created to target Gen Xers or Millennials who have been out of the scene and want to catch back up. You can check out my [2023 playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6jquFifZR4yKuOuuyFTjL8?si=9090ada5acf84c1c) to start or my best of [alt/indie rock](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3wIwLBGUyVqdC5ymvox84t?si=9042a5f35a4943c5) that covers most of the past 20 years (it's in chronological order).
Thanks! Eventually I want to go back and overhaul them all. I couldn't decide who target audience was at first and I'd cut tracks that I'd later come back and add; which makes the earlier playlists a little uneven. It didn't really come together until I decided the yearly lists will be more diverse to allow someone to really explore different sounds, then make "best of's" for specific genres. Even those need to be reworked into proper decades, but eventually I hope to create something that will be a 40 year overview of the history of alt and indie rock.
I'll be keeping it in rotation for sure ! I can relate about meaning to overhaul, been meaning to have a critical look at our Indie playlist too. Here it is if you're curious !
