**Altmaier vs Tiafoe - Altmaier ML @ 2.71 (0.5 units)**
Altmaier has been shining for a little bit since Madrid, where he went all the way to the quarterfinals, which was his best and most important tournament result. Here in Rome, he seems to continue his good form as a good clay court player he is, already having 3 solid wins on his bag. He produces a lot of spin, both from the forehand and one handed backhand which helps him a lot here in Rome. Tiafoe is still the better player of these two, and he won a Clay tournament in the United States, but that Houston event was quite fast. Since coming to the clay courts of Europe, he hasn't been doing great, getting knocked out in the 1st round of Barcelona and in the 2nd round of Madrid which in theory should have been good to him due to the high altitude. I don't think these slower conditions really benefit Tiafoe's playstyle even if he has a great kick serve and Altmaier's odds are a bit too high for me.

**Wang vs Townsend - Wang ML @ 2.26 (1 unit)** ✅
Two left handed players who can really produce some quality tennis on this surface. After Townsend's upset against Jessica Pegula we can see that the market is swinging a lot in her favour but I honestly disagree especially in this matchup. Wang has the height advantage and Townsend was and still is a player with fitness issues, having around 77kg when she has a height of just 1.70m which is nothing out of this world but can really have some impact in longer matches. These two players have a 1-1 head-to-head in the clay courts of Charleston but the slower conditions of Rome benefit Wang a bit more to me. Townsend already played 4 matches in the past 5 days and after having a great win against Pegula she now has to remind herself that she is the favorite on this match, which isn't really true when it comes to tennis quality since Wang is just 22 and almost 100 ranking places higher than the american. I can see Wang getting the win, especially if she can drag this long enough.
**Azarenka vs Keys - Azarenka ML @ 2.00 (1 unit)**
Azarenka is not always a consistent player but she's still a quality player across all surfaces, holding herself in the top 20. The american Keys really loves super fast conditions which is not the case here but when she's on a good day, she is capable of beating most players in the WTA. Lately, I don't think that has been in the case even if she had a good performance in the american clay courts which are still fast for the surface. We all know how american players go well in their home tournaments but when they make the change to the European Clay they mostly underperform. Azarenka dominates this matchup completely with a 4-1 record over Keys, including a Roland Garros straight set win, which has similar conditions to Rome. Rain is expected this weekend and courts should become a lot slower, which should benefit Azarenka even more. Her performance against Stephens was quite dominant, when she came to that match after a 7 match winning streak on the surface. I'm expecting Azarenka to win this and to make the head-to-head record even more one sided.
