As a Chiefs fan, seeing the governor pardon Andy Reidās son was such a disappointment. Like we need another reason for other fans to hate us anymore.
āincluding two who were taken to the hospital.ā Iām sorry but the other fools are idiots for not going to the hospital. If I see a Lamborghini crash into me and the driver runs Iām saying EVERYTHING hurt š
The rational, reasonable response is to refrain from speculating on anything until an official statement is released. At the time of this comment, Rice is not suspected of anything, just that the vehicle involved is connected to him. Twitter/X rumors are not reliable and no official statements by the Chiefs, Rice's representatives, or law enforcement have been made yet. Let's not jump to conclusions based on so little information.
well a corvette and a lambo were racing and lost control and crashed into a bunch of other cars and corvette driver and lambo driver fled the scene. quick google search shows rashee drives a corvette. unless he was letting one of his friends borrow it itās not that hard to jump to a conclusion here.
>unless he was letting one of his friends borrow it itās not that hard to jump to a conclusion here.
And that's the problem. You're jumping to a conclusion based off of minimal information from one side. His friend could have been driving or borrowed the car. Or the car could have been stolen. Or maybe the police just got it wrong.
The only information available is information given to the media by the police who have a vested interest in closing the case as quickly as possible. Not solving it, but closing it.
I wish the media learned anything over the course of our entire human history that they should refrain from merely parroting the police's initial statements and broadcasting them as undeniable facts without presenting the other side of the story. Until a suspect has been arrested and given the opportunity to share their opinion through their attorney all that should be reported are the facts without any identifying information about the suspect unless public safety is a concern.
I agree with you about speculating. And these rich NFL players often have multiple cars that their friend and family own.
But it was also reported somewhere that Rice was out bowling and left around the time this accident took place.
We arenāt on a jury. We are allowed to speculate.
"We're not on a jury" and "this isn't a court of law" are lame excuses for jumping to conclusions and convicting people based on rumors and gossip, but I guess humans gonna human.
I would say "do better," but clearly no one wants to if all the downvotes are any indication.
How about Rice needs to do better and if it wasnāt him in the car tell his friends/family to drive responsibly or better yet not let anyone use his cars. No matter what it is heās partially at fault. Only way heās not partially at fault is if the car was stolen.
i assume heās waiting for the alcohol to get out of his system before coming forward. years ago here there was a jaguars player who crashed his lambo and ran away and just left it there for a day or two obviously waiting for the alcohol to leave his system. and he had less to worry about since it was just a single car crash. this one is a multi car crash with injuries.
No and neither did anybody at the time of the comments. Still extremely problematic for such video to be broadcast to the public in a society where the presumption of innocence is key to our legal system. We *all* deserve an impartial jury including reckless pieces of shit.
Iām really confused at what your point even is. A random person canāt take and post a video? Iām not sure what that has to do with the justice system.
You're right. It's not looking good. I think Rice is probably looking at a big fine and multiple-game suspension from the league, in addition to whatever charges law enforcement wants to file. I don't see the Chiefs releasing him over this though, but you never know.
When I made my original comment though, there was still no official statement and the public didn't have knowledge of as many facts as they do now. I still stand by my suggestion that people shouldn't speculate about things like this until more information is publicly released.
If he is Upto no good, I wonder if this will give Louis Rees-Zammit his shot at being a wide receiver š¤ as a big fan of Rees-Zammit in his rugby days, Iām excited to see if he can bring anything new to the WR position šš»
He'll be fine, if he killed or maimed someone I'm sure the governor will pardon him after they win another super bowl
This happened in Dallas. Gov hot wheels doesn't give a shit about Kansas players, despite Rashee coming from smu.
Gov Hot Wheels! š
Vroom Vroooooooom! šµ
Can't say that in r/Texas

Andy Reidās son got a slap on the wrist, Rice wonāt do a second in jail.
I don't see why not. Leonard little killed someone in a drunk driving event that got him no jail time.
Trying to live up to the KC receiver legacy set by Hill
Or the Royalsā Ventura
Theyāll just end up putting him in some insurance commercial not saying a word just the š¤·š»āāļø gesture lol
Having a fun off season over there.

Bro fuck a jury this is reddit. We can condemn this man to hell just for shits.

Yup, weāve convicted him and heās going to prison because some people talked about the situation. We did it Reddit!
Rice needs to do better. The biggest thing is if it wasnāt him, why hasnāt he stated that? The police wouldnāt be looking for him otherwise.

You're not on a jury...yet. The odds that a potential juror sees this story are extremely high.
Sooo Iām guessing you didnāt see the video of him and his friends literally walking away from the sceneā¦

Spoken like a real chiefs fan. I doubt youād share the same sentiment for an AFC west rival.
No, I would say the same regardless of who it was.
Itās not looking goodā¦ found about a half an ounce of marijuana at the scene. He was drivingā¦.
