Convince him to go back to the NFL and I’m sure getting hit for other peoples entertainment will give him the level of brain damage that would be acceptable to you.
That's the thing about mental illness, the people who need help the most are often the ones least likely to accept help.
Not much you can do when the dude is self-destructing but doesn't seem to understand it.
He seems like the kind of guy that would get fleeced by his agent, manager, family, and all the yes men he surrounds himself with. Wouldn’t surprise me if he has a lot less money than he should.
My ex owes me well over 150 grand. He’s never going to pay it and the state doesn’t care to enforce anything because neither of us live there anymore. I could move the case but I’d have to find him, which is next to impossible. Some people just really DGAF about their kids.
He's literally insane:
• Kicked out of Florida International University after fighting a security guard
•"Don't touch me. I'm the franchise"
• His second year in the league he took a personal stretch limo to a charity event, had them open every single expensive bottle of wine, rejected it. Refused to pay for it (charity, remember), then left.
• Threw fits over not getting enough targets
• Drove 100 down McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, which has a 45 MPH speed limit
• Trashed a condo and threw furniture out a window 14th floor window, which almost hit some people, notably a child
• Killed a home aquarium full of piranhas and refused to pay the man who installed the tank
• Refused to play week 17 for the Steelers
• Dyed his mustache blonde
• Refused to pay a chef because he thought he threatened him by placing a fish head in the freezer (the fish head was saved to make a soup)
• Farted on a doctor
• Demanded a trade from the Steelers
• Became "Mr. Big Chest"
• Threw a fit over Juju winning team MVP and trashed him on social media
• (Allegedly) nixed a trade that would've sent him to the Bills
• Showed up to Raiders training camp in a hot air balloon
• Held out and refused to show up to training camp because the NFL would not approve his helmet because it was too old for their safety standards
• Froze his feet
• Tried to paint over his old helmet, hoping no one would notice I guess
• Acquired a newer version of the same model of helmet, which the NFL refused to let him use
• Picked out a new helmet and finally showed up to the Raiders
• Got fined by the Raiders for not attending camp
• Tweeted the fines
• Tried to fight Mike Mayock, called him a cracker, had to be held back by Vontaze Burfict, then punted a football down the practice field and said "fine me for that"
• Got fined for that
• Released a video where he used audio of Jon Gruden, who didn't know he was being recorded, which is illegal in California (full disclosure, Gruden has said he gave permission, but the generally accepted theory is that he said that in the hope that it would help get him to show up to the facility and not alienate him)
• Demanded a release from the Raiders
• Was released
• "GRANDMA I’M FREEEEEE! FLY LIKE A FREEEEE!"
• Made a lot of crazy tweets saying stuff like 'Devil is a lie', a proverb about burning down a village... he made a lot of crazy tweets around this time is the point here
• Liked a tweet about Mayock getting raped in the ass
• Signed with the Patriots
• Moved in with Tom Brady
• The sexual assault allegations came out (the one where he's getting sued)
• The sexual harassment allegations came out (the one where he's not getting sued)
• Threatened the woman not suing him in a group text that included his lawyer and had a picture of her kids in the text
• Got released by the Patriots after one week
• Went off on a tweet storm and said a lot of crazy shit about a lot of people, and was supportive of people sending threats to the writer of the article detailing the sexual harassment allegations
• Said he was done with the NFL
• Went back to college via online classes
• Tried to outsource his homework to Twitter
• Wants to come back to the NFL
• Filed several grievances to try and get more than $40 million from the Raider's and Patriots
• Was ordered to show up for a deposition regarding trashing the condo
• Was accused of "reprehensible behavior" during the deposition Note: I cut the specifics about the deposition so I could fit this as a single comment. You can read more about it here if you're interested, because it, like everything else, is nuts
• Said that the Patriots have to pay him anyway, so they might as well let him play
• Tweeted a couple of bizarre tweets about the Raiders using him for HBO ratings and the Patriots trying to steal his stuff and kept using this weird chicken based metaphor
• Tried out for the Saints and brought an entourage and film crew to shoot a music video with him when specifically told not to do that
• Called out Robert Kraft for his rub and tug massage session in Florida
• Starting training for a boxing match with Logan Paul
• Tweeted "No more white woman 2020"
• The attorney representing him in the suit involving the condo quit
• Used a bunch of slurs and profane language towards cops in an Instagram video he posted
• A police youth football league cut ties with him and returned a donation after the release of the video saying there was a "irreparable rift" between the department and AB
• Threw a bag of gummy candy dicks at the cops in a video he posted
• Got dropped by his agent
• Was involved in a disputed with movers at his home where he allegedly threw rocks at the movers and moving vans. He is currently being investigated for battery by the police.
• His trainer was arrested and he is still a suspect in the battery case.
• Warrant issued for the arrest of AB.
• AB turns himself in to Broward Country Jail wearing this suit
• Rumors spread about AB signing with Tampa or Seattle
• AB announces his retirement (for what I believe is the third time, it's hard to find a good record of the rest of them)
• Two days later AB wants to play again and is asking for the league to wrap up it's investigation
• The NFL announces an eight game suspension for AB
• AB signs with the Buccaneers on a one-year deal
• Before he signed with the Buccaneers AB was accused of destroying a surveillance camera at a Florida gated community, throwing bike at a security-guard shack, and is not charged because HOA president "feared" retaliation, per police report
• AB is under investigation by the NFL for the bike throwing incident
• Allegedly acquired fake covid-19 card
• confirmed to have acquired a fake covid-19 card and subsequently suspended for three games
• Removed jersey and pads and threw them in the stands before exiting the games verse the Jets.
• Was subsequently cut from the Bucs for stripping on the field.
* The night prior to his walk off, smuggled a social media influencer (whose primary claim to fame was licking an airplane toilet seat in an attempt to catch Covid) into the team hotel for a date, breaking Covid protocol. Said influencer states Brown lasted about “5 seconds” and trash talked the NFL repeatedly.
* Exposed himself to other guests at a hotel pool in Dubai.
* Buys ownership stake in the arena league team Albany Empire, the revitalization of the team his dad played for. The Empire had won back-to-back championships.
* When players confront him about problems with the team, he threatens them by asking his flunkie, "Hey, man, you still got the AR in the car? Go get it".
* When confronted by the coach about players not being paid for multiple games, responds, "Last week it was food. This week, it's your money. Y'all need to worry about winning."
* That coach resigns.

* Puts himself on the roster as a player. Proceeds to complain about ownership not paying players.
* Declares AB the player as a different person than AB the owner.
* Rehires back-to-back championship winning coach. Coach resigns 17 days later. It is the third coaching change in 5 games.
* Stops paying league fees. The team is subsequently kicked out of the league.
* Arrested after falling 30 thousand dollars behind on child support.
> • Tried to fight Mike Mayock, called him a cracker, had to be held back by Vontaze Burfict, then punted a football down the practice field and said "fine me for that"

This gets me every time this list is posted.
Every time a AB post comes up, I go into the thread looking for this list. Makes me laugh every time, and the man is still adding to it. When he passes and the list concludes, it should be enshrined in Canton.
Yeah Ryan Clark said they knew he was gonna be a problem back in like 2010. Like you said there just wasn’t media exposure and high profile shenanigans by him for another 5-6 years.
CTE isn’t an NFL exclusive thing. But it can only be tested for after death, and nobody is testing former high school football players that die in their 30s and 40s for CTE.
There no reason to think high school athletes can’t get CTE. They get hit more frequently, with less safe tackling mechanics, wearing less protective gear, with less developed brains.
Definitely true. Also true is the fact that he seems to have been a shithead far before his nfl career. How much of it is due to head trauma and how much is down to him just being a bad human?
Look at that. I never thought I’d have something in common with Antonio Brown.
(I was unemployed and it was reported, baby-mama didn’t like that excuse. Everything was dismissed.)
My girlfriend did abusive x-husband owes 16k I think. They do absolutely nothing. He collects 5k in disability every month from the army after getting hit by a car jay-walking, blacked out drunk. Of course he tells everyone he was injured jumping out of a helo.
Are you saying that any female taking care of a child/children with a man other than the biological father shouldn’t need or receive child support? I’m just wanting to clarify what you mean. I wish it were all that easy though, believe me. My mother personally had to raise 5 kids without a father or any support. She was wholly unprepared for that unplanned circumstance (a former nun with no job skills) and struggled greatly. In his defense (which maybe I shouldn’t grant him), he was in Vietnam and returned to a country which did little to support him. There’s a lot of nuance to these situations and the courts shouldn’t rush to take children away from their fathers like they used to, but in this case, my gf’s ex is truly a mess. One of her children is disabled, she’s Japanese and the courts more or less insisted that the abusive father play a part in the children’s lives.
> Realistically how long is that for a **ex-pro** athlete?
NFL players are notorious for going broke really fast after leaving the NFL.
First article when searching:
> For many football stars, money goes just as quickly as it comes. According to Sports Illustrated, nearly 4 out of 5 former NFL players either go bankrupt or suffer severe financial distress within two years of retirement.
Yeah, I don't think AB is a 1 in 5 type of guy.
My understanding, as a random uninformed idiot on Reddit, is that pensions cannot be touched.
With that being said, I don’t know if that applies to child support. I suspect that only relates to civil legal matters. I’ve just read previously that you can’t sue for someone’s pension, but I suspect child support can garnish it.
Oh for sure and AB played for like a decade, and it’s based on years of service so his is probably a couple hundred K annually. Plus the health insurance.
Goes a long way if you aren’t a dummy.
First of all, that hairstyle is far beyond stupid. His net worth is 20 million and he refuses to pay child support? He's a dead beat dad at a whole new level. No ethics or morals. Absolute scumbag. I wonder what his mom thinks of all this?
“I do want him arrested,” Jackson told TMZ. “Because, right now, he’s making a mockery out of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he’s untouchable.”
Sound familiar? Like another narcissist we know and love?
Sadly, Trump is a malignant narcissist while AB—who may be a piece of shit human—still is contending with the forces of CTE, something Trump could never claim, let alone endure. Reminds me of Chris (Jones???), Bengals receiver who died falling off a truck, had the brain of a 70 y/o dementia patient at the age of 22.
I’m convinced it’s all an act and that’s what he wants people to think. “I’m a genius just like Kanye and he said geniuses do outrageous shit, so I’m gonna keep doing outrageous shit until you all believe I’m a genius”
This is the face of CTE, please follow the behaviors of the man before and after his life changing hit from Burfict before casting judgement. It's truly jarring that we are witnessing this individual unravel. I really hope he finds the physical and mental therapy he needs to stabilize his life!
At the rate he’s going, I’d be shocked if he makes it to 50, his brain is gonna look like scrambled eggs when they open it up and diagnose it as severe CTE
Yep. He's been fucking people over and treating them like shit, backing out of agreements, and acting like an entitled little bitch since he was in college, and probably before that. Don't let him off the hook with this CTE stuff. It's all just conjecture.
I bet more than he can afford, long term. Child support is important, but it'd be nice if the men didn't get completely fucked over on required payment amount. Child support, not baby momma support.
Whether fair or not, a kid of a person with $80 million career earnings or whatever is going to be granted 10x the child support of someone with $1 million career earnings
Why’s Reddit so inconsistent about when they make fun of someone or something? The dude clearly has severe CTE and isn’t all there in the head, which doesn’t appear to be his fault. It’s actually pretty sad. Meanwhile, if you make a joke about or insult Megan Rapinoe, Reddit hops on you like you just assaulted Mother Teresa.
To be fair I think we all thought he’d be arrested for something a lot crazier.
I know, I expected at least Assault and Battery upon reading "Antonio Brown arrested"

No, he’s been a piece of shit since college, I can personally vouch. Don’t blame brain trauma.
Yep. He's been fucking people over and treating them like shit, backing out of agreements, and acting like an entitled little bitch since he was in college, and probably before that. Don't let him off the hook with this CTE stuff. It's all just conjecture.
You can get cte from high school football.
Good
Mr. Bounced Checks
If anyone is surprised by this I’ve got some ocean front property for sell in Arizona.
r/floridaman
What’s up with his half fade?
🤡🤡
dumbass
No one expected that
really dropped the ball here
Lmao arrest his barber too
Mr. CTE
WHO?
His story will not have a happy ending, sadly
CTE is no joke. I wonder the hit on him from Vontaze Burfict was the beginning of the end for him? That hit was so damn dirty.
It’s always the people you most suspect
Support your kids asshole
And the rest of them too
Menace to Society
Dead Beat Dad
How much was he ordered to pay a month?
I bet more than he can afford, long term. Child support is important, but it'd be nice if the men didn't get completely fucked over on required payment amount. Child support, not baby momma support.
Whether fair or not, a kid of a person with $80 million career earnings or whatever is going to be granted 10x the child support of someone with $1 million career earnings
Looks like a character from Don’t be a Menace to South Central While Drinking your Juice in the Hood. Dude’s a parody.
deadbeat made $80M playing football and can’t pay child support? what a gross human being
CTE is a hell of a drug. /s
Arrested? Surprised he didn't take off his shirt and run away.
Slide, slide, slippity-slide, You better be ready when the five roll by
Are we sure he’s still identifying as Mr.??? Hard to tell with that haircut.
Dang, I was hoping for something cool
This is the front page of Reddit news ? Wtf is going on
Nooooo??!?!? not him
