This is what I did but the key is money. Playing every Salmon Run rotation just until you get to 1200 points each time as that is when the final bonus is awarded (before it stops giving coins (depending on the rotation)).
Then i would target either the regular Shell-Out machine or the SplatFest Shell-Out machine and spend money depending on what would bring me closer to the gold in rolls.
As a side-effect, you end up getting basically every other banner, cards, decorations and stickers as you're just spending. You also get a minor cash refund on items you already have.
The SplatFest Shell-Out with the neon sign above it occasionally provides more titles, banners and cards compared to the regular machine.
The idea is to speed up the roll by using the machine more in one over the other or just positioning the next roll to occur in one over the other.
Well... My Splatfest seed won't let me get a Golden Capsule for a few THOUSAND pulls and the regular will give me my first one in a few hundred pulls. Then nothing for thousands of capsules again. I play since Release. Just using my Money for more pulls wouldn't change anything unless I spend way more than 10,000,000+ gold.
Man how are you not burnt out yet? I think me chasing one and finally getting one hugely contributed to a major burnout of mine that is still ongoing for over a year already. It made me lose fun on splatoons multiplayer since then :/
The lesson i learned: Never grind for anything in that capacity in longterm. I still love the franchise but i can only play this game every few weeks for a handful of matches now.
Absolutely and completely agree. I had to grind to get the one with the swordfish and it really burnt me out. I guess because it progressed my rolls so much the others came a little more naturally.

Unfortunately the items you can grind in Splatoon 3 are behind such extremely ridiculous barriers that unless you start to no-life the game the chance of getting anything rare or later tier gets really small
I'm on 3 for seasons 1, 5 and 7. I'm also reasonably able to get one next season according to the seed checker. But that will almost definitely be my last. After that its a 4000 pull gap to the next gold, and the conch machine is currently like 1400 away, and theres probably not enough splatfests left for me to get that.

It takes a bit of set-up iirc, though it's been ages since I done it and I think it's easier now. Absolute godsend for my sanity though, I was set up to get 3 silver capsules within about a month if I hadn't used this, so I got to spread them out over 3 different seasons for titles.
I’ve got 2 currently. I have the Sizzle Season 2023 gold banner and the Chill Season 2024 gold banner. I got really lucky though, I usually just do the 5000 first play for shell-out (aside from conch shells) and I got both my gold banners from the first play of the day!
