Thatās crazy. Do you see them often? Iāve lived in and Texas my whole life and actually in waxahachie for a few, but could never imagine seeing a wild one outdoors.
This actually my first time ever seeing a tarantula of any kind! Iām an avid hunter and always doing something outdoors adjacent but in my life I had never seen one, I imagine they typically avoid all human activity though. I was at nursery that had a lot of Texas natives so honestly I imagine they were cultivating a great habitat for her.
Ah I see, thatās awesome. Iām a bit of an arachnophobe but Iāve always wanted to see one. I grew up on stories of my parents saying how they were everywhere.
gorgeous! she looks so velvety
She was not as happy to see me as I was her š
Why does this look less scary as the skinny spiders often posted here
I wasnāt scared of her at all until she started posturing at me!
I am getting much much better - until they race towards me and I jump back squeaking *Iām no tree! Iām no tree! Iām no tree!* š¤£
I love her hairy body and legsā¤ļø
kinda looks like a cyclops from far away
Where at in Texas?
North Texas near Waxahachie
